Awake at 4:30am EST and trying to make my ADR's online and I get this lovely message that the Dining site is down for maintenance. I was feeling less like this  and more like this :sad2:. Well I waited a while and shortly after 5:30am I was able to get into the site and book all my ADR's for within 15 minutes of the times we wanted. :wizard: I'm grateful for the pixie dust and happy that the ADR's are behind me, well... unless I need to make some changes.

Happy Planning.

Haven Elise, go Virgo power! I got married on my birthday to ensure I'd never forget my anniversary and we celebrated last year at Disney. DH found his button last night in a bag he was packing for an overnight work trip to Kansas City and grinned at me like a loon, knowing we were going to be back this year too!

I need to make my ADR's but I want to see what the park hours will be first.

I will be hauling around two kids and they aren't the most patient people around meal times.

Besides, since we have a large group (6 adults and 2 kiddos) we are planning on doing mostly buffet meals since we have one pre-diabetic, one full diabetic, one adult that eats like a 5 year old and two kids that eat like adults!:rotfl:

(Seriously, my children eat more vegetables than my sister's bf!) The only two non buffet TS meals we are doing are O'hana and Rose and Crown. Oh, how I have dreamed of their scotch eggs with mustard cream sauce. I have made them at home, but they just aren't quite as good. Oh, and the shallot gravy that I tried to lick off my plate to get every last drop of meaty shalloty goodness. Sigh.

Never been to O'hana but it looks like the kids will have a ball with that one AND we can ride the monorail over from Magic Kingdom which will tickle my dad. He's such a monorail geek that he has the electric version at home to play with in between disney trips!

1st Anniversary! Spent our honeymoon last year at Disney.

We will actually be in the "World" from Sept 11-17.
Lost of Firsts!
Excited because this will be our first ever trip that wasnt in the middle of July. GO LOW CROWDS! Also will taste Le Cellier for the first time. And, it will be our virst savannah view at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani.

At first I was thinking girls and trying new braiding techniques; or knots for boys but that was lame so then I went to http://family.go.com and searched for Tangled. There is a page full of fun ideas: http://family.go.com/disney/pkg-disney-character-fun/pkg-everything-tangled/

They have some cut crafty ideas: Tangled Tower Craft using a paper towel roll; Tangled Tower Cupcake- this seemed kind complicated I would just make cupcakes ahead of time or buy muffins, pointy ice cream cones, and tubes of icing; Tangled Activity Kit - printable activity pages; it even has recipes Rapunzel's Squash & Hazelnut Soup, Orange Biscuit Braids, and Pascal Cupcakes.

I can wait till my DD1 is big enough to do more stuff like this. Right now I do it and she just watches.

I would have been :sad2: too! I'm so glad that you got everything you wanted in the end though!

We got married in Disney in May 2010, so this is our sort of 1st Anniversary trip. Hooray for Disney Magic! :lovestruc

Thanks for the link! I like the pascal crafts because my son would like doing that too. I love the tower but I am going to have to scale it down a bit. I'm not quite that ambitous for a countdown night lol

And I am definitely going to make the Orange biscuit braids!!

What about just kelly green shirt and shorts with triangle/diamond cut outs applique on the sides and back. Maybe a ball cap that you could fabric paint eyes and use the bill to make a mouth and have a tongue hanging off the brim.

Awesome idea!!! Thank you!

Somebody had posted a long way back about decorating your resort room...

I was finally able to get DH to put some photos on my desktop so I thought I'd share a photo of our window at Pop Century in 2008:

Sorry about the glare!

We had an awesome mousekeeper and she left us towel animals every day that trip and she is the one who arranged the dolls in the window as a surprise for my girls. We loved coming back to our room and seeing our window :cloud9:

I love it! During our trip in December, we didn't get any towel animals and my daughter was so disappointed to come back to our room to no surprises. And we tipped, too, so it wasn't like we were being stingy. I love it when they take the girl's toys and place them somewhere neat. That's part of the magic!

I'm really trying not to wish the summer away so we can go to Disney! I love having my kids home during the summer, I'm the one who cries when they go back to school in the fall. I need to plan some fun things to do pre-Disney for this summer.

I know, me too!! I was just thinking the same thing......we're gonna waste the whole summer away just wishing for Sept! LOL! We have a big vacation at the start of the summer too, though.....trip the the beach:beach:

I'm doing the same, and trying not to wish summer away before it arrives fully. It's well on its way for us, though, it's been in the 80s for the last three days here! Luckily, we live pretty close to the ocean, so I have two different countdowns going...184 days until Disney, but only 36 until we hit Myrtle Beach!:jumping1:

We've had 80 degree temps here as well. Once warm weather hits us, we are the type of family who books every weekend with an activity from spring through the new school year in fall! Most weekends are local activities (museums, fairs, etc.--we try not to repeat any activities), but about once a month it's a larger trip. This month, we are leaving Friday to visit family in Ohio. We've never been, so we are so excited. Next month, it's to the beach at Wilmington, NC. In June, we are going to Tennessee. In August, we leave for the Disney Cruise in the Bahamas and WDW! It helps me not wish the summer away because then we'd miss all the fun weekends along the way!

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO IPO got me every single ADR on our list, most at the exact time and 2 or 3 within 15 minutes! Lily is sleeping on me but later I'll post our list.:woohoo:

Love your window! I think its great when mousekeeping does fun stuff like that. We had the best mousekeeper at POR, she made a Splash Mountain for my kids with all their stuffed animals riding down. It was so cute!
