Makes me think they are expecting crowds. Free dining must've had a good turn out this year.

For all those considering a Fantasmic Pkg, I honestly don't think you will need one if they are running the show nearly every night. The seats you get with the package are not the best seats in the house and the crowds should be disbursed through the week enough that it's not a necessity.

To go on a night that it wasn't already scheduled on before may be a good idea. Not everyone who is going to Wdw is as savvy as the rest of us, and may not bother to switch their dining ressies or plans based on the new info. Some people may not even be aware of any changes until they show up.

I would love to say ahead of time that I'm sorry for the extra work, L-Harper! But, I'm not at all sorry to say that our vacation is back on! We received what could only be equated as one of God's many miracles with our sudden situation, and the problem has basically resolved itself! So we are back on Pop from the 24th-1st. This week has been an emotional roller coaster, but I am definitely riding high right now. Good to see you all again so soon!:: I even made it back for the 100 day mark tomorrow. Hopefully, everything else will be smooth from here on in. I'm very low maintenance; I don't like nasty surprises.

Bummer...although I must admit that isn't one of our favorites. Last year It's A Small World AND the teacups were being refurbed while we were there...both such classic rides I was really bummed! (We did thankfully get to ride the teacups on the first two days of our trip)

Hi everyone! I just spent the last 4 hours catching up by reading all 75 pages of this thread. Whew! (Sorry I don't have time to get to the first Sept. thread ) My DDs and I will be leaving DH at home again for another girls only trip. WooHoo! Our dates are Sept. 16th-21st at Pop. It is cool to see so many creative people here as I am hoping to glean a few ideas for our door and outfits this year. Last year was a Christmas trip, so we didn't have to look far for decorations, matching shirts and hair accessories. By the way, the DDs are 20 and 21, and look forward to our Disney trips passionately every year. Check out that ticker - just started and already under 100! That's a first.

Awww, thanks for the hug, you can never get enough of those! I didn't; my DH wouldn't let me, told me to sit on it and see what happened. Getting the package back is a heck of a lot easier than the ADRs! So luckily I didn't lose everything there!

Some 2012 planning...

Wow, I just realized that MVMCP and the Food and Wine Festival have overlapping dates in November! We were planning on going back December 2012, but November is a contender right now! Especially if we visited over Veteran's Day weekend, it would minimize the loss of school and work time. The only thing we would miss is the Candlelight Processional. Just had to post my out-loud-thinking!

Hmmm....edited to add that the new AOA standard resort rooms probably won't be ready by then.....so much thinking and planning to do!

Especially if we visited over Veteran's Day weekend, it would minimize the loss of school and work time. The only thing we would miss is the Candlelight Processional. I know I have already priced out my trip. I may just go ahead and book it. But we are going in September again. I hate talking my dd out of school but it is the only time dh can get time off when it is still sort of warm in FL. We will be at pop again. I think the mermaid rooms are getting done last. I'm pretty sure they are opening the resort in phases.

We're in the same boat! Although DH told me not to worry yet since we've yet to go on this vacation Im torn between taking DS Labor Day week/weekend for his 3rd birthday bc he will still be 'free'. However DH has off two days for Rosh Hashana (sp??) a little later in September. BUT than im really torn because I want to hopefully see some of the new FantasyLand expansion, and stay at AOA, but in a standard room not a suite.. so that takes me down to the day after Thanksgiving for 10 days. I guess Ive narrowed it down to three weeks so thats not TOO bad!

That sounds like us this year! We generally go in December, but are going over Labor Day weekend this year, before my youngest turns 3. It was worth scooting our trip up a little, so that we wouldn't have to pay for her!

But yours is tougher because of the Fantasyland and AOA additions....I always like the sound of free though!

From ADr's to flights to tranportation to detailed schedules, we've been planning for awhile!now we're down to waiting fo rhte ME labels to show up i August. Everything else is planned for. we can't wait to go down and talk about it every day!

Okay, I'm joining in on the September fun! I just booked my trip yesterday for September 12-20th! I thought it was odd that F! was running every night. At first I thought it was a mistake when I checked the calendar on the WDW website. Usually It's only running two days or so during a week duration and that makes it hard to fit it into a schedule.

Anyway, I've already gotten my spreadsheet configured and most of my planning is done in just 24 hours... I'm getting fast and good at this! Maybe I should go into trip planning for others. It's my favorite part of the whole process... and I'm already craving a dole whip!!!!

Anyway, only 2 months and many days to go!

I couldn't help but join.

I'm 17 and will be taking my first Disney Vacation ever this year (Sept. 5-Sept 9) with my older sister (22).
I'm both nervous and excited. I've always wanted to go to Disneyworld since I was a little kid, but never got the chance to go.
Me and my sister will be taking the Greyhound to Disney, so it'll by a long trip to get there and back (40 hours altogether) from Mississippi.
So we'll be leaving a day earlier and getting back home a day later.

I'm currently doing some serious planning and preparation, even though there's still 3 more months to go. I want my first time there to be more than awesome that's why I've booked for the off-season. I don't want to deal with too much waiting and crowds especially with a 1-park-a-day limit, and anything that'll make the trip more enjoyable will be great. I will be missing school for this, admittedly, since school starts August 8th, for me. But 4 days is not that big of deal. I really wanted to go while I am still 17, so it'd be cheaper, ( I turn 18 in October), and we still can get on the dining plan. I'm not too concerned about the September weather, I've never been to Florida, but since it's not too far from Mississippi and still in the South, I don't imagine the weather to be too different. It is hot with the random thunderstorms here anyway. Though, I definitely pray for nothing too serious in weather while on my trip.

We are booked at the AllStar Movies Resort, so all our Quick-service meals will be free. Which is just fine for us cause we really want to spend more time enjoying the attractions than eating, but I do want to make a reservation to atleast 1 casual dining restaurant for atleast one of the parks, I figured that'd be better than trying to get a ride and make it to a reservation outside of the parks, maybe?
We will be staying for 5 days, and 4 nights with 4 Magic Your Way Tickets.
We will get to Orlando at 12:45 PM, but probably won't make it to one of the parks until 3 or 4 o'clock, and I don't know how labor day traffic and crowds will be, but since the park that I have the least things I want to do at is Hollywood Studios, would that be a good park to go to on Labor Day with already such little time to enjoy? (note EmH is from 9:00 PM-12:00AM)
I really only want to go on the Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster and to see the Live show of B&B and/or Fantasmic, if I can-though my sister doesn't care to much for shows. All the other stuff, I'd love to do, but won't feel too bad if I missed them. ^_^

And since we'll be leaving Friday at 6:00 PM, but have to check out at 11:00 AM, any suggestions on what we can do on the down time? We won't be able to the park, and don't care too much for going to the waterparks and DQ since we won't have much time to stay anyway. I'd really prefer not to leave the Disney resort.

We plan to hit them in this order (corresponding to the EmH)

The day we arrive//Hollywood Studios
Epcot (future world than world showcase)
Animal Kingdom (since it closes early, we’ll just spend the rest of the night at the hotel for a break or do some exploring at Downtown Disney)
Magic Kingdom
We leave the next night.
