September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

yay SillyLily!!!! :banana::banana:

Marblies - Only 75 pages? Sheesh, what about the first 250? :snooty:
Kidding! Welcome!

I am bummed about tough to be a bug. Glad primeval whirl will be back up by the time we get there, the kids love that one (and me too :) )
My youngest hasn't even been on Tough to be a bug. I'm not sure she would like it so we skiped it last year. Sorry you will miss it.

100 days today!!!! Getting oh so much closer!!:goodvibes

Robin yeah for 100 days. !!!!!:cheer2::cheer2:

:woohoo::yay::banana::love: and :drinking1 is all I need to say!!!:grouphug:

Me too, me too, me too! :yay: I think the prospect of losing our vacation has made me appreciate it that much more. So excited to see you ladies!:grouphug: on top of that, today is our 100 day mark!:woohoo: I'm getting ready to start working on our Pop window decorations. I'm thinking a bazillion Mickey heads, but I'm debating whether I'm going to string them all, or just stick them to the windows. I'm also deciding if I'm going to do a bunch of different colors, or stick to orange and black for MNSSHP. I have some great designs either way, so I just need to make a decision and get to it. I
also need to work on my tanks and tees for that week. I'm ready to get designing!:wizard:

:dance3: YAY!!!!!! :dance3:

I am SO happy for you! I'm really glad that it all worked out and that you are still going! I was so sad for you and was praying for you. YAY!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: I have you re-added to the first post. Where will you be staying? I forgot.

Thank you, L-Harper, and to everyone for their thoughts and prayers! We're at Pop Century!

Thank you, MamaJessie! Yall have to excuse me for doing these one at a time; I DIS from my phone most of the time!:rotfl2: I missed it; what happened to It's Tough to be a Bug? I was looking forward to that!

Sillylily - Refurb. It's one of DHs favorites, but there are a few things at animal kingdom we never saw so we can try something new. Maybe I can even get him to go on Dinosaur :rotfl2: (This is funny because he doesn't like scary rides. Which is made even funnier by the fact that he is a big tough guy with tattoos and rides with drop scare him  I love my tattoo covered marshmallow)

99 days today!!! feels good to FINALLY be in the double digits :banana:

Im sad to hear abouts Its Tough To Be A Bug. DS is going through a "bug" phase where every black spot is a bug. I was actually looking forward to taking him to see this.. maybe we can squeeze in a quick visit on 10/1. Last year we missed out on Its a Small World and the tea cups, both which he would have loved. At least he can ride those this year!

Im hoping they extend the hours at Magic Kingdom like they did at DHS. I know they probably wont, but heres hoping! I love the parks at nighttime :)

I know we are going to try to get nemo in this year. My girls love nemo and we have skiped it beacuse my younget was not going to sit threw it or at least I thought. She sat threw at the stunt show at HS and Indian Jones so we should be good.

Welcome new September friends! :welcome:

Silylily: Glad to hear that your trip is back on :thumbsup2

Refurb of It's Tough to be a bug doesn't bother us: We've never seen it and DD4 is terrified, and I mean Terrified of bugs :scared1: So, unfortunately that attraction never makes our list, lol

We were so bummed when IASW was closed last September as that is one of my little one's favorite rides. We did get to ride the teacups before they closed two days later. Star tours was closed too...can't wait to see the new version!

I have to agree with those of you who are happy that "Buggies" will be down while we are there. We haven't done it the past three trips because DD2 has been too little and DD9 has been begging to do it again. This gives us an excuse. Thank you, Disney!

:rotfl2:

On another note, I think we've decided that we are going to rent a pontoon boat one day while we are at BLT. We are thinking that we'll pick up some snacks in the morning and head out late morning for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. It's something we haven't done before and it should be nice and relaxing.

I am only slightly disappointed that Its Tough to be a Bug will be closed... we usually see it, but am not fretting that have to miss it.
My very 1st trip to WDW was back in 77 (only MK existed) and the 3 rides that were most memorable to me were Dumbo, Haunted Mansion, and Toad's Wild Ride. When we were planning our 1st adult trip to the full WDW experience back in 2007... I knew I wasn't gonna be able to ride Dumbo (personal reasons), found out that Toad's Wild Ride had been closed, and the Haunted Mansion was closed for refurbishment... talk about disappointed!!!!
On the same trip... my 1st time to Epcot.. Spaceship Earth was closed!

Last year we went to DHS just days before Star Tours closed... glad to get to ride the new version this year.
As for Dinosaur... I love that ride! Can't wait to ride it again this year...
I purchased the ride pic for it... couldn't pass it up... can you see why?

That's a great picture...priceless! :goodvibes
We went on Dinosaur (all 4 of us) last year and wow, was that intense  but we all liked it except DD7 who doesn't like super loud noises. I am looking forward to doing it again this year!

go away for a day and have five + pages to read.

Yeah for the extra Fantasmics.....made it to where I could fit Hoop-De-Do in! (sp?) I'm super excited about that my dd13 not so much...but I think from what I've read she will end up enjoying it more than she thinks.

Now....they are not allowed to cancel those extra Fantasmics or I will be totally messed up! :scared1:

It's Tough to be a Bug, not my dd's favorite so no crying on that one, the bugs pinch you and she doesn't like that.

Love the Dinosaur pic, I'm sure my dd looks like the ones hiding their faces, she has ridden it twice once when 9 and once when 12 and she didn't like it either time, but I love it. :woohoo: She has agreed to go on it again this year as my bday present. lol.

STILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL waiting on those Dessert Party reservations to open up! popcorn:: Otherwise all is done, and I've started my Disney basket for things to take along that-a-way i don't forget something, course I do have my list. :rolleyes1

I would love to say ahead of time that I'm sorry for the extra work, L-Harper! But, I'm not at all sorry to say that our vacation is back on! We received what could only be equated as one of God's many miracles with our sudden situation, and the problem has basically resolved itself! So we are back on Pop from the 24th-1st. :yay: This week has been an emotional roller coaster, but I am definitely riding high right now. Good to see you all again so soon!::grouphug:: I even made it back for the 100 day mark tomorrow. Hopefully, everything else will be smooth from here on in. I'm very low maintenance; I don't like nasty surprises.

So glad you are back on! :cheer2:

Hi everyone! I just spent the last 4 hours catching up by reading all 75 pages of this thread. Whew! (Sorry I don't have time to get to the first Sept. thread :rotfl:) My DDs and I will be leaving DH at home again for another girls only trip. WooHoo! :yay: Our dates are Sept. 16th-21st at Pop. It is cool to see so many creative people here as I am hoping to glean a few ideas for our door and outfits this year. Last year was a Christmas trip, so we didn't have to look far for decorations, matching shirts and hair accessories. By the way, the DDs are 20 and 21, and look forward to our Disney trips passionately every year. Check out that ticker - just started and already under 100! That's a first.

My dd13 and I are doing our first Girls only birthday celebration trip, the 15th-22nd! we were staying at POP but changed over to POR.... for GIRLS ONLY Trips!

There are a lot of creative people on this thread, I unfortunately not one of them but after seeing the cute pics others put up of stuff from Etsy, I found my dd a couple of cute more teenish shirts on Etsy, I'll have to post later.
