I have really been concerned about whether we were really going to get to take this cruise or not. I booked it the day after it was announced and shortly thereafter, found out that my company sold to another company!! Six months after this big campaign about how we were "not for sale"
I knew that there were going to be cuts, and wasn't really sure that I would not be one of them after 17 years of service. Well, it is all done now, and I get to stay with no changes to my current position, (yet) which means that we can still go!!! I have been lurking around here and keeping up a bit, but didn't dare get my hopes up to high in case I was going to be unemployed, and therefore, not able to go. I hope you all saved some room for us, cause we're coming aboard. We are really looking forward to meeting some new friends!! Now if I can just figure out how to get my little green smiley man back.

Don't worry about being unemployed and going on the cruise. Some of this group have done that.

Made my final payment today! WOHOO - makes it seem more real. Now to decide on what to do at each of the ports, when to schedule Palo, what SPA treatments, etc....

Any feedback on what eveybody else is doing. Any suggestions on must not miss or must avoid?

Oh yeah - I have to make sure I can stay up until midnight of the 16th which is 3 AM EDT on the 17th. Will most likely be a mad rush and the server will be busy.

The info I got from DCL said the reservations could be made on the 19th. Did you get some new info when you made your final payment?

Nope - I just got a little excited in the planning process. Guess I can't count! (I forgot to count July 31 and August 31) Thanks to you and Tracy I will not be staying up late for no good reason. Actually this is going to kind stink having to do it on a work night. OH well - Heather is out of school then so I will not have to get up as early. (At least it is midnight for me vs 2 or 3 AM. The good news is I have a couple of more days to research and decide what we are going to do. Never having been to this part of the World it is all new uncharted waters.

I am torn - I want to see all of the islands but I also want to do the water excursions. Love to snorkel with Heather. What do do...what to do. Oh well at least after the 19th I will not have to worry.

You are quite welcome. I know what you mean about staying up. I am not usually a night owl so I don't know if I will stay up or set my alarm. 3 am is awfully late or early which ever way you look at it. I know Doug and I haven't decided on everything we want to do. We are doing a tour with Krdisneybound on St. Lucia but that is all we have picked. We too would like to see the islands but would like to snorkel too. Oh my, decisions, decisions. We do have our on board things decided though. so don't have to worry about them.
