Are there any people out there who arrive before the fall code/pin codes begin who were able to apply the code to part of their ressie? If so HOW? Thanks...
You will have to break up your ressie into 2. For example 9/26 to 9/28 and 9/28 to 10/3. You will have to check out on 9/28 and re-checkin. You will get a spiel that you might have to change your room. Good luck.

Exactly what we did. The first 2 nights, 9/26 and 9/27 are on one reservation with the AP discount and the remaining 6 on another with the AP discount. Since they were 2 discount codes, we had to have the 2 reservations. Our first reservation was for 8 nights on one reservation with 2 nights at AP rate, when the new codes came out for Sept 28-Dec 23, we had to cancel the last six nights and have a second reservation for the final nights. They did tell us we may have to change rooms and check out and back in. I really can't see Disney wanting to do this since it's a waste of time for all unless they really have to have us change rooms for some reason.
Thanks, I suggested that to DH and does not want to do that...there are 2 ressies, mom's and ours, and we are trying to stay together and don't want to risk getting moved. Dang!

Make sure they link the 2 reservations, that won't guarantee anything but I can't see why they wouldn't want you to say in the same room. Also, when you check in make sure to tell the CM. I am. I will also as to talk to the manager if there is a problem with staying put. If worst comes to worst, we will move since we did save quite a bit with the AP rates, just a bad time. The whole family is going and my daughter did book last year during free dining with the bounceback. We didn't think we would be going again so we didn't book. It ends up kind of the same for us since we get the AP discounts as well as have our passes and the DDE for dining discounts.
I talked to a few CMs about this. Two reservations since there are different codes. I did this and had them link the reservatins. Hopefully the front desk will keep us in the same room, easier for them and us!! I really can't see why they would make you check out and back in unless for some reason there were no rooms, but they know you will be there for a continous time so I think we will end up not moving. We did this many years ago in Port Orleans and even had 2 types of rooms at different prices, when we got there the front desk had upgraded the cheaper rooms and kept us in the then pool room for the entire week!! No extra charge!!
