We are staying at the Marriott Vacation Club at
Disneyland Paris for a week next May after the Celebrity Solstice TA. How many days do you need for the parks there?
Marilyn - We stayed at the
Marriott's Village d'lle de France in October, and love it. We stayed in a beautiful two-bedroom villa with living room, dining room, full kitchen (range, microwave, dishwasher), laundry room, DVD player, and CD player. It was our second one-week stay at Marriott's Village, and our third vacation at DLP. We have also stayed at the Newport Bay Club, and another time Mrs. Woody stayed at the Disneyland Hotel with friends.
As for how many days to spend at the parks depends on your interests. It also depends on how often you visit DLR or WDW.
Some people "do" both parks in two days, often skipping rides that are at the U.S. parks. I think two days would be rushed and exhausting. We prefer to take in the parks at a more leisurely pace. Plus, while many rides share the same name, they are different from their U.S. counterparts, such as Big Thunder Mountain, the Haunted Mansion ("Phantom Manor"), and Indiana Jones. There were very long lines at the newest rides, such as Crush's Coaster.
We have had Annual Passports at both DLR and DLP. We visit the parks early (to beat the crowds), then have a nice sit down lunch. We often take in some of the less popular shows in the afternoon or use our FastPasses (avoiding long lines for rides). In October, I went four days to DLP, and Mrs. Woody went five days. Again, since we had Annual Passports, we could do so at a leisurely pace.
Have you bought your admission tickets? If not, I recommend getting a "Passeport Annuel" (Annual Passport), which are
not advertised on DLP's English language site. We bought DLP annual passports for less than the cost of two-park two-day admission. Also, if you get a "sponsor," you can save 10%. (As an annual passport holder, I would be happy to sponsor you or anyone else. Send me a PM.)
