So excited. I've just confirmed a last minute trip to DL for Thanksgiving.

Mom had a timeshare week that needed to be used or lost so she offered it to me. We were going to go north to the snow, but then something became available down south. I'll be spending Thanksgiving at DL. :cool1:

It will just be a long weekend rather than a full week. And probably only at DL 2 days since DS really wants to do Legoland before he's too big. :lmao: For those that don't know, my 13yr old DS is 5'8" 180lbs. He's already too big for Legoland, but he's holding onto the fact that he's "only" 13 and is still a kid. Of course any other time he's mantra is I'm 13 now, I'm grown. :sad2:

Oh Sarah, reading these menues brought back some memories of my favorites from the WBPC last May. It was pretty apparent which ones were a success on the TA and got repeated on the PC cruises. Best appatizer of the trip was the shrimp and caviar one....oh YUMMMMM.

It was interesting to take a look at some of the sugar free desserts, as I usually don't look at them, but will be doing so on future cruises, if only to cut down a bit on the sugar rush! :lmao: Plus I'm convienced that I have less joint pain/stiffness when I keep a close eye on sugar consumption.

Seriously I love the sugar free stuff! The Coconut rice pudding is my favourite but the crumble on the Master Chefs was fantastic too. I'm not a dessert person so sometimes go for that as it sounds a bit simpler

My DH is diabetic and always has the sugar free desserts. They have improved them greatly over the last 5 years.
Accept for the cookies. He didnt care for them.

One time he didnt care for what they offered and the chef surprized him the next night with fresh made sugar free brownies. He said they melted in his mouth. That was the only time we have seen them on board but they were really good.

Plus this last year they have started offereing sugar free cakes for anniversaries and birthdays too. They never did that before.
Now if they would have sugar free soft serve ice cream at the ice cream machines it would be perfect:thumbsup2

Oh Sarah, reading these menues brought back some memories of my favorites from the WBPC last May. It was pretty apparent which ones were a success on the TA and got repeated on the PC cruises. Best appatizer of the trip was the shrimp and caviar one....oh YUMMMMM.

It was interesting to take a look at some of the sugar free desserts, as I usually don't look at them, but will be doing so on future cruises, if only to cut down a bit on the sugar rush! :lmao: Plus I'm convienced that I have less joint pain/stiffness when I keep a close eye on sugar consumption.

The sugar free chocolate cheesecake is very good! The best cheesecake I have had on the seas.
 
For anyone on a waitlist...I wanted to say there is hope!
I know for a fact that recently a cat 2 openned up - it's still early so those of you on a waitlist should not despair! :)

WOHOW we are all done with the menus and just in time as I'm falling asleep.

Oh and I didn't notice I put the Pirates one in the wrong order it came between the Transatlantic Dinner and the Prince & Princess Gala

I just wanted to say today we were doing Children in Need across the UK today. Its a charity event which I guess Americans would call a telethon. We do funny things like dress up in weird hats etc as well as just collecting money. It's 2am over here and that is when the TV part of it (which is on from 7pm and has like music and different clips from shows on) is about to close and this year it has raised a grand total of £20,991,216.00. Last year on the night they raised little over 19 million. The amount does keep going up over the next few days as well with other donations but this is the highest amount they have ever raised!

I just wanted to congratulate any brits on this thread who helped donate as I think this is fantastic achievement. All the money from Children in Need goes to childrens charities within the UK and since it began in the 80s I think they have raised over 1/2 a billion pounds! This year they were predicting a low year due to the economic situation but it appears that people still have the generosity of saints!

Anyway Im off to bed as Im knackered but just wanted to share that with you guys!
