Just thinking I dont know whether it would be worth putting the menus on the website at some point? What do you think?

:) Hi - I am new and booked on the 2010 WB and I am Hoagie Pie's MIL. Are there any other seniors booked on this cruise? I am looking forward to meeting you all.:)

Not sure what you class as a senior, but my Mum (Marian) is traveling with us and she'll be 66 at the time of the cruise. Age is no barrier to this bunch of pirates and wenches :rotfl:

OK I've checked my navigators and:

on the East Bound there was only 1 Formal and 2 Semis in the cruise navigator at the beginning of the cruise but in fact on the individual daily navigators the second semi formal night actually changed to a formal night at the last minute

on the West Bound however there were 2 Formals and 1 Semi on both the cruise navigator and the individual daily navigators
I do remember a switcheroo now. Hopefully they will be more organized this time around:thumbsup2
Well, I had one stitch fall out this morning!!! :yay: :yay: They still are bugging me, but at least I know the end of the stitches is in site!

Your poor dog! I can imagine how itchy they must be!! :(
I am glad one is gone and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel now:goodvibes

Oh my god, I have the flu, a sore ankle, had to cook supper tonite as its her birthday and now have 4 days at Disney to 'look forward' too.

Please send pixie dust (or vet with shotgun) soon
:wizard: You poor thing--hopefully disney will work its magic and help you feel much better.

I had the sugar-free option several nights on my last two cruises and really enjoyed them. I didn't feel like I was missing out.

Pj

I also had a couple of sundaes that were pretty darn yummy. My brother-in-law is an ice cream lover and I know he'll be tempted by these. ::yes::

Thank you Sarah for posting the menus! I had so much fun looking at them! :)

It's a very dreary day here in my neck of the woods. Warm and dreary...but tomorrow the temp drops and we're back in the 40's again! :)

Hope everybody has a great day! :)

No problem. It's dreary here too and around that temp! Hating this weather! The UK didn't have any summer this year and its just going to be a depressing winter if this carries on. Was going to pop into town to the french market but its too wet out there

Paula - When we were on the Magic last month, there were two cast members from NZ. We met one of them, a nice young lady from Dunedin who worked in the Mickey's Mates shop. We started talking about the Cadbury factory! Hopefully she'll be onboard when we sail.

Hey Guys,

Need your help, got an idea yesterday. You all know that I sponsor 2 soldiers right? Well, I've been in a state because I recently had some packages returned. My first thought was that something had happened. I haven't heard from any since before May but I plod along as usual assuming they get the packages as they have never returned.

So last Monday, one package came back. Finally heard from on organization and they reassigned me to another. The other organization does not have anyone right now but DESPARATELY needs help for some wounded soldiers at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center I believe in Germany?????

Anyway, they are trying to fullfill a request from the Chaplain over there -they want to hand out 500 Christmas Stockings and she only has 30 pledges right now. I believe with the economy being the way it is - she may not get this request filled. I, myself, am committed to 3 and I thought - what better way than my DIS family to try and help.

So, here is what is needed. This is a one time project and much simpler to committ to than a one year writing committment. All that is required is stocking with some items in it to be mailed before Thanksgiving and if using priority mail - by December 1st. HOWEVER, even if you miss that deadline, please mail it. The organization likes to hand out the stocking to wounded soldiers around Thanksgiving. Last year this lady orgainzed 1000 stockings.

SO, if anyone is interested, please PM me and I will give you more details on what to buy and who to write too to get the address. You all know for security reasons I will not post here but it is of vital importantace that we help our wounded if we can. Also, don't feel like you can't help if you can't sew - I am DEFINITELY not a sewer but we have this wonderful Dollar Tree Store that sells stockings for $1. That I can do!

Thank you all for listening!

:goodvibes

If interested - please contact me via PM or e-mail and I can suggest what to send - and what not too - also, the Post Office has some flat rates for military personnel and you can probably get 2 stockings in it for less than $10 to mail.

Thank you for your time!

That is great you are doing that. DH is a Marine and did 4 deployments to Iraq. It is a very tough thing to go through. He spent 29 out of 48 months in Iraq!

Thanks for all you are doing!

Okay, I am soooo excited right now, I cannot calm down and the best thing to do is type and tell you guys, but my husband is at the USC Football practice in LA and he got one of the guys that I adore to call me - and we talked for 10 minutes on the phone - AHHHHHH!!!!!! I am soooo excited - yes, I love football!!!! Okay, I need to calm down because it is getting late here and I need to wake up early. Thank you for listening!!!

How fun for you!

Just thinking I dont know whether it would be worth putting the menus on the website at some point? What do you think?

Funny, I was going through all of this saying... we should put the menus on the website. Just email me the info to rollcall@transatlanticpirates.com

Sorry the updates have been slow this week! It has been yet another crazy week for me. I will be working on the updates this weekend.

Im in the process of sending through the menus for the web site (emails going slow attaching them). Hope everyone finds them useful.

The sugar free chocolate cheesecake is very good! The best cheesecake I have had on the seas.

disney does have some very good sugar free desserts i usually get one regular dessert and one sugar free dessert. save a little bit of calories

I do not like massages...never have, never will....but I do like the hot tub and steamers. My DP LOVES the Spa......every vacation I have tried to get her a different treatment. 1st Cabana massage at CC (she liked but felt rushed), 2nd we did the couples thing (forget what its called, but I remember a lot of mud), 3rd the hour long you pic two (her favorite so far), last time she did a mani/pedi thing.
My question is...what do you think will be available? I heard about a day pass for some longer cruises and a Romance package? I really just want to be able to go in the steam room and maybe an arouma therapy? She will definitely want a massage and maybe facial....or 2 or 3.

Any ideas?

Hi everyone, you all look like such a fun group!! My husband and I just decided to book this cruise, and are very excited! He should be returning from a deployment just before the cruise, and we have a questoin about embarkation.
We live in Germany, so it is a quick flight to Barcelona for us, what time do we board the ship on embarkation day? If we arrive early, can we give the ship our luggage and do some sight seeing? Can we board the ship, then get off and do sight seeing? JUst really don't want to have to carry the bags around all day, or do we need to be onboard early, so no time for sight seeing? would we be better off arriving the day before to do our sight seeing? Thanks for any and all help, and we can;t wait to meet up with you all!! Marybeth

Not sure but on the TA they had a ladies spa morning and they had a salon day offer that had a shoulder massage, a hair treatment and a manacure. We just got a couple of day passes for the Rainforest rather than treatments as I don't particularly like massages either.

Hi Marybeth

Last time they started boarding at around mid day (I think 12-1ish) which was cool. Depending on when you arrived at the port depended on when you could actually board though as they handed out numbers that responded to when you could board like they do in Port Canaveral.
Yes you can just dump your luggage and head off to the city. You leave your luggage outside so once checked in can leave again if you want and head out to the city.
I would say you are better off arriving the day before and doing some that way as there is a lot to see.

When we did the med cruise they had no problem with boarding and then leaving the ship since they were in port until 10pm. However you do have to board the ship and then you can leave. That process took about an hour because we were in group 1 and we had to wait for them to open the exit. FYI. We just went and had lunch first, however I couldn't get my daughter to leave after lunch so in the end we ended up staying on board.

Thanks for all of the information. We may try and come in the day before, or we may just go for a long weekend soemtime before my husband leaves for this deployment, the flight to Barcelona aren't too expensive, so we could do that to see the city too. Thanks again, we are really excited!

Welcome, Marybeth! I also wanted to thank you and your DH for your services!! I'm anxious to meet you!
