Ordered 3 pairs of formal trousers (last thing i need) from a very well know UK highstreet shop that starts with a big M ... they have just rung me to say someone put in the wrong leg measurement between the shop ordering them and the order depot neither will accept responsibility. Anyway as the size they did not stock they cancelled my order for one set of trousers.

This is the second time they have got the details of my order wrong ... for a great british high street shop its disgusting.

The so called useless manager said oh it was not our fault ... and it sometimes is that even though it was in stock when ordered by the time it gets to the depot it maybe out of order. So word of warning everyone .. M& do not do live ordering if you order from them nor do they take any responsibility for things that go wrong in orders its basically tough luck. So if your ordering in shop or online do not leave it to the last minute as you cannot trust them to deliver.

That is so cool! I wish I was artistic.....there are so many cool careers in computers and media and film now!
And that is so true! ::yes:: My eldest son majored in Fine Art at Uni but his minor was in Media Production and he now has a great job in electronic advertising. His current clients are Sony Film and Eidos - not bad for a chap who loves movies and gaming!!! :goodvibes I'm very proud of him - my tag is how I felt the day he got his first job...

That's appalling, Jason!!! I hate that whole "it's not our fault" attitude that seems so prevalent at the moment... :sad2: Hope you get sorted...

Hi everyone. I've read for so long that I forgot what I was going to say to whom. I had been reading, realized I should probably take notes, and then threw up my hands in defeat.

So hi, and know that I kiss up a little prayer for all of us before I turn in that we all travel happy and arrive safely in Barcelona on the 18th in time for sail away. :)

Now, fun stuff ... surely I am not the only one who is having this issue. I don't know if Mike and I are just so excited for this cruise, but I just checked our credit cards and I'm pretty sure in the past 2 weeks we've spent the equivalent of our cruise fare in new clothes, pirate gear, luggage, shoes. You know, because Talbots had a sale on shoes, and my shoes right now aren't that comfy. I'm pretty sure Mike buys a new pair of shoes for his tux every time we cruise (yes, I've mentioned he packs his entire bathroom. He also packs his entire closet :rolleyes1). Those LL Bean hanging toiletry bags? Ours our 10 years old, and we "needed" new ones for the cruise. Really? Did we really need that new Tumi garment bag (it only weighs 7 pounds!). Please see me if you need to rationalize anything, despite how frivolous or unneeded it is. I really need to stay off line for the next several days ...

You are not alone!!! ;) I cannot stop shopping at the moment - all cruise-related of course!!! In the past week or so I've received a couple of online discount vouchers for my fave stores - well, who am I to refuse a bargain!!? SO I now have more dresses than I can possibly wear on this cruise alone (not to worry, they'll be fab for future trips too - at least that's what I told my DH!!!) AND I'm still stalking a couple of long formal-esque dresses on eBay...

How wonderful that he is doing a job in the field he loves ... Danny is the same, loves movies and gaming and hopes to be a film editor one day. This is the first step. I am very proud.

I know there are a number of you who received the military rate on this cruise, as I did. And I do really appreciate getting that rate. However, in the past when I booked a cruise and received a military rate I paid with my Disney Visa Card and received an on-board credit for using that card. When I booked this card I was told I would receive the credit too but not until I paid in full. Now they are saying I don't get the military rate and the Disney Visa Card OBC and what I was originally told was incorrect. Disney Rewards says it is something I have to argue with DCL about. Is anyone of you who received the military cruise rate and used a Disney Rewards card receiving the OBC? I was also told by DCL at the time of booking there was a $25 OBC 'bonus'. Now they are saying no $25 and military rate. And they aren't saying it very nicely.

Update on the peaches....:) I made 10 pints of jam and a cobbler last night using about half of the peaches we bought Sunday. Today I plan 2 peach pies and then I will can what is left. :thumbsup2

This makes no sense to me. :confused3 What does one (rate DCL charged you) have to do with the other (a reward for using a specific credit card). Doesn't the OBC come from the credit card company??? They are not a Disney company.

I didn't realise you can order online, pay and get the order confirmation, and then just not get it they are low stock, if someone's order is prepared first and take your item before you order is processed. One of my items wasn't sent as it was by then out of stock. Strange.

I pointed out to the Chase agent that the info on the OBC is on the Chase Disney Rewards site. He indicated that is all up to Disney. val

It's a lovely feeling when they get to do something that makes them happy, isn't it...? So pleased for him and you...

yeah thats pretty much what happened to me

its rubbish if you order it and they say its in stock at order then they should deliver. They have really gone down in my estimation of them

Thats so annoying, it really bugs me that:headache:
Whoever takes your dosh is responsible as far as I am concerned..
At my work if someone makes a mistake I will happily say sorry till it comes out my ears, my company my problem, I hate it when you complain to someone and they say "thats not my fault" WELL OBVIOUSLY !!!!! but its your employers fault..
sorry rant over, what you gonna do about yer troosers?

Go on and enjoy yourself!!! It's truly something to celebrate...

yeah i was really not very impressed it was the pure well its not our fault neither of them were willing to take any responsibility it makes a joke of ordering things .. as you cannot gaurantee you will get the goods you ordered as their stock system is not live. Thing is its less likely for me to shop there next time.

well need to get a pair of nice black trousers so off to shops again try to avoid M&

One of the most annoying and amusing excuses I think is 'a computer error' or 'the computer's at fault', etc!!

Does anybody now if there only will be a paintclass whit Ducky or also a free one i where he's talking about his job?
