I have got to stop sleeping - i think we are about 10 to 12 hours out of sync with the US so when i go to bed you all start writing.

anyway:

Kimberly - your lists are amazing.

PJ - having that info on ical could be great - i am entering it bit by bit however at the rate i am currently going i may never finish.

Dining reservations with kids.... wow normally i have it all planned and booked at the six month window and this time i haven't even thought about it. perhaps we wont need to eat after two weeks of Magic food. however in the past we did take the kids to Jiko and they really enjoyed it.
Last time we were there you couldn't make reservations for T-Rex - has that changed?

So much to do and so little time.....

:)michelle

Going to bed last night feeling good about being caught up and to waking up five pages behind.

OK, no sleep for me tonight.

GOOD Morning all that travels WEST :)

Hello everyone! Is there room for 4 more in this group? Traveling will be my DH, myself, my sister and her husband. (DH and myself will be doing the last Med cruise as well.) We've been on 12 Disney cruises, and did the WBTA in 2007 so we know what a great time this cruise will be. DH and myself are retired and live in FL so we get a lot of company and we travel when we can. DS and DBIL are working folks who live in MD. Our traveling and company visits will be wrapping up soon so we'll have some time to dedicate to getting ready to join you in Barcelona. This is going to be so much fun!

Always room for more!! Dont forget to check out transatlanticpirates.com, sign up for rollcall, FE (if interested) and send a photo!!

They did not have "Mickey Bars" on the WBTA in 2007. We were told that when they received them they were cracked and could not serve them. However, they had a fake Mickey Bar that was not chocolate covered and was "Ok" On our last night we had some of the "Mickey Bars" at early dining becasue the Wonder left them for us at Castaway Cay. However, late seating did not get them (according to the other folks we were travelling with).

I will not be surprised if they do not have any. I will be disappointed and Dh, DBil and Dsis will no doubt go through some sort of withdrawls. However, with all the booze tasting we have signed up for, I feel comfortable in saying they are likely to forget about the Mickey Bars and possibly their own names.:rotfl2:

In 2007 they ran out the second or third week in Europe. Seems strange that they would run out at about the same time again three years later! Last time I read that they said they had supply problems getting them produced and or shipped to Europe. I would have assumed that they would have gotten those problems sorted out before heading back over again.

It will be a very sad time indeed if they don't have the bars restocked until the last night of our cruise!

I hope they manage to get the Mickey Bars for our trip. We should all be nagging DCL!!:lmao:

Unfortunately John won't be boozing, so he might be in a bad mood if no Mickey Bars!:rotfl2:

Seems to be a theme here... Hope someone thinks aboutt he Mickey Bars and THIS group...

If there's a 'mate', 'good onya' or 'g'day', It's Aussie.

I love hearing this - I try and find a reason to call our Melbourne or Sydney office a few time s a week just for this!!

Kimberley, are you stuck in a time warp?????:confused3:rotfl:

LOL!! too funny!!!

Yeah in 2007 they did. We had pirate bars instead (pirate shaped) then when we got to Castaway they brought on Mickey Bars and I think everyone had one with dinner lol! They can't import them in Europe they have to go with local food so had to resort to the pirate ones.

From what I gather they weren't very good. I would rather have a really good quality choc covered bar ice cream like a Magnum or something than an inferior one just because it is pirate themed or something.

This is just wrong! I think I will boycott Pirate bars and hold out for the real thing... What are the chances that we get them on the last night??

I think you are just being reminded to spit our anything that tastes good!!!!!:lmao: Is this something you NEED to know???;)

LOL!

Good morning everyone ......

WAHOO!!!! I can't wait!!! This has been a very harsh week at work and next week will be a carry over of it. Thanksfully I have something to look forward to!!!

I am all caught up on posts now... Now onto the 18 PM's... This is addictive!!!

Happy Saturday (or Sunday depending where in the world you are) everyone!!

If there's a 'mate', 'good onya' or 'g'day', It's Aussie.

Those beignets are evil! We stayed at POFQ for 25 days in 2008, I ate beignets everyday, sometimes twice a day. On the last day I went to put my jeans on that I had worn on the plane on the way over to America, I couldn't even get them on, let alone done up! :scared1:

I have learned to make these. You can imagine how our jeans are fitting!! :rotfl2:

Kimberley, are you stuck in a time warp?????:confused3:rotfl:

I was going to say Groundhog Day, but by the time I wake up it's been done, so I won't. :rolleyes1:lmao:

Well, this vacation has just become a day longer! Flights back to Mexico were less expensive on the 8th of October so I called and booked another night at Boardwalk Villas. They didn't have a one-bedroom available so we're downgrading to a studio for the last night, but all laundry should be done by then, right?!

Now to find somewhere else to dine on the 7th!

On the Mexico front.....we just contracted with the mover and customs broker and they're meeting us here in L.A. and we're moving south on July 3. Garage sales and packing up will start with a vengeance this coming week!!

After a bit of work today Marc and I are heading down to D'land for the last weekend of the Food and Wine Festival. Tonight is their version of Party of the Senses (called "Taste" out here). We've enjoyed it so much the past few years and we're looking forward to catching up with some of our favorite CMs who work the festival. A short nap in the evening (it definitely won't be a full night's sleep!) and we'll head back home early Sunday morning. We're usually up by 4:00a.m. and can be home by 5.

Another whirlwind weekend coming up!

Good weekend to everyone!

Michael

Sounds like you have a great weekend planned! :thumbsup2 I actually had a dream last night that I was at Disneyland and I kept saying "I didn't have enough time to see everything! I need more time!" LOL! Guess it's telling me that I need to go to DL in the future! I've been there twice, but my DH has never been there and wants to go really badly.

In 24 hours from now, I'll be in NYC!!!! The Glee concert is at 3pm at Radio City Music Hall. I can't wait!!! My sister and I are taking the 8AM bus up to NYC (we're only like 2 hours away from the city) so we'll have some time to walk around before the concert. At first we were going to go to the 8pm concert which would have allowed us to see a broadway show in the afternoon, but that didn't work out. I'm excited to go to some of my favorite broadway stores! I love broadway merchandise!

If you're friends with me on FB, I'm goign to try to post some pictures during the day...we'll see if that happens! LOL!!!!

Enjoy your day, everyone!

I am definitely interested, but won't be booking anything until July once I know who is traveling with me. Also, if I end up traveling alone, unless I can tag along with other DIS folks, I'll be booking DCL tours.

You know you can tag along with us , we have to find a place to do a shot at 845 am ..:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Maybe the wicker basket ride in Portugal :lmao::lmao:

I read a post that said DCL ran out of Mickey bars in Europe!! Say it ain't so :( For those of you that have done the WBTA before, did they run out and did they get more in time for that cruise?

Last time they did not have a European supplier, so they ran out quickly. There were none available for the WBTA. We convinced the crew that they needed to have the Wonder bring out a supply to CC so we could pick it up when we got there.

Now, I'll leave the rest of this story for later as I finish catching up, to see if Todd filled you all in.

On CC day, ss dinner was winding down, our sever walks out with a Mickey bar for Todd's son. You should have seen all the shocked, mad, disappointed faces around us. It was priceless. But then a few minutes later, the servers all came out with trays full of Mickey bars.

We stayed at the Sofitel Cocagne Eindhoven. Is that anywhere near where you live?

Yes, Eindhoven is a 20 minutes drive from my home, when we going to shop for clothes we do it in Eindhoven.

When were you there? On holiday or something else?

DH and I were in the Netherlands to visit customers of his company, visit representatives of his company, give a lecture at the University of Delft and to tour the country.

We came across from the UK on a ferry to the Hook de Holland., staying first night in Rotterdam at the Manhattan Hotel. Next few nights in Amsterdam at the the Grand Hotel Amrath and then on to Utrech, where we stayed at the Grand Hotel Karel V. Off to Eindhoven and the Sofitel and then next we went to Delft, staying at the Bridges House. Back to the Hauge where we stay at the Hotel del Indes, leaving the next day on the ferry.
