Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.3

I have been reading some to the threads about the new 2011 cruises.

How do you think this will affect our cruise? Will many people bail and decide to wait and do one of the new itineraries?

How full do you think our ship will be? Seems like our WB is more full then the EB...just wondering what my odds for an upgrade are?;)

I think people may start bailing especially when Dream is announced in October! Alot of people would rather do the Panama I think due to flights etc. It will be interesting to see. I just hope anyone on the thread who bails will let us all know!

On the DCL website it said that the sailings will start on 28 May, with 10 and 11 day sailings.

I read soooooooo much yesterday about the ships I was confusing myself:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:faint: Too many cruises to choose from!

Ann :flower3:
So yes... the TA will be 14 days before that.

Don't worry I read it this morning and got confused lol

Barcelona flights booked:cool1::cool1::cool1:
Viva La spania:cheer2:

If you read this dh, yehhaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
We are going for 3 nights

Well done! Can't wait until we can sort ours out! I want it all booked!

I really really got over excited when I read about panama canal, was ready to cash in some ins policies if needed:lmao:
but, now I have calmed down, it is only 10 weeks after this cruise, not sure I want to do that, the best part about disney cruises is this, you know looking forward to them, chatting and stuff, will have to get home on monday and rethink things!!!!!!!!! Do you know what I mean?

How did you book air so far out?

I was able to book our hotel....?

I am a stressor....if I can get airfare done, I can start to stress about FE gifts!

This news yesterday is so exciting, isn't it?! While we are not bailing on this cruise (soooo looking forward to 5 sea days in a row :thumbsup2 ), we would also love to do the Panama Canal. That leaves on my husband's birthday. We never get to go anywhere for his bday because that is such a crummy time of year, but I think we would make an exception if we can get on.

If not, we have the 10 day Mexican Riviera in April as a back up. Perhaps a B2B repo/Alaskan?

Decisions, decisions!

Wow, I didn't know airfare was available for booking already, and great price on the Meridien!

We haven't decided what to do pre-cruise yet. My cousin is stationed over in England (USAF), so I would love to be able to see him pre-cruise. He is stationed at Mildenhall AFB. Can anyone from the UK help me out as to whether you think that would be doable? And by "doable" I guess I really mean reasonably convenient. :) Thanks.

Where in england?
Hundreds of flights to barcelona from uk, easy jet do them from all over, pretty cheap but you do have to remember and add on luggae cost with the low cost airlines over here.

Don't worry I stress too! Can't book flights yet as BA dont start for 2 more weeks. Have however I think sorted out FE gifts (premature I know lol)

Probably the nearet airport is going to be Heathrow I think - from what I know about where the base is. It's around a 2 hour flight from Heathrow. Very easy and convinient.

BA I think are coming up fairly reasonable too

Thanks JewelMickey - I was able to book Le Meridien at the 179 euro rate for 3 nights..... it will be a while before we can book airfare.

Want to keep all my options open.

My friends stayed at Le M this summer and loved the location

I knew we could only do one cruise or the other...Westbound Transatlantic or the Panama Canal as the girls cannot be absent 5 weeks of the same school year and $ wise, it probably would put us in debt.

I was so looking forward to the Panama Canal itinerary, I would love to go through the locks on a Disney ship. Well overall, we don't care for the Panama crossing itinerary, so we are keeping this booking. We would have liked to have seen more of the Carribbean rather than 3 days in Mexico and 1 day in Costa Rica. Mexico is right across the border for us so not a deal maker for us.

We currently have flights and hotel through Disney and are booked at Le Meridien. I now need to look at flights and hotels to book on my own. We would like to fly into Ireland the weekend before and make our way to Barcelona, via Disney Paris? Options and decisions...I guess it's time to make our plans final.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I can't wait until I am totally booked - we just realised that our plans to fly Easyjet to BCN have a fatal flaw - Easyjet fly from Liverpool and we would be returning into Manchester - slight problem therefore with parking the car - whoops! (now if I can talk someone into driving us we will be ok!)

Might need to check this hotel out later before it books up!

Linda, I know what you mean about the PC schedule. A bit more Caribbean would have been nice.

We had similar issues with the fact we fly back into Gatwick. Decided to go down the National Express route instead.

That was always going to be a prob! we will get a lift to edinburgh, and I am hoping to get a hire car from glasgow and drop it off at edinburgh airport which is only 20 mins from home.Glasow is nearly 2 hours.

Adnil. we are vdef transatlantic, would be an addition!

I'm glad some DISer's are taking advantage of the great rate at Le Meridien...looks like we may have enough peeps to have a MEET, maybe on Thursday or Friday night?

I have never been to Europe so really looking forward to this cruise. The new itineraries don't seem to compare, plus $$$$?

I think I will hold out until 2012 and maybe a Dreams to Hawaii.....now that would be SWEET!

I am thinking of buying some of those Packing Cubes? Anyone used them?

Oh Packing Cubes? What are they?

You won't see the Dream to Hawaii for some time. The Dream will not currently fit through the PC (The Magic and Wonder just fit) and the expansion will not be done for some time.

Packing cubes are small bags shaped like cubes you use to organize your luggage.

I dont remember where I got mine... but I LOVE them!!!
In the cat 6 cabins you have a single chest so they work out great. No "undies" falling on the floor all the time.
DH remembers... my middle name is "Over Pack" :lmao:

Ann popcorn::

Oh I like the look of these. Hmm wonder if they are any good?

Packing cubes are small bags shaped like cubes you use to organize your luggage.

They look really useful for packing things like underwear - you could just take the cube out and stick it in the drawer. Also for keeping shoes separate, and also if you wanted a few things for an overnighter to be kept separate from the rest of your things - just pull out the overnighter stuff in the separate cube and bob's your uncle - would save on rummaging around I think! Might have to source some of these for the cruise. Thanks for the link!

I get a sore enough head packing, never mind adding cubes as well.

What lovely day it is here, away to take my beagles for a big walk.
CAn you imagine a year today?????????/
Tommorow I will be flying to barcelona.:banana:

In London today with work and it is hammering it down. Wore the wrong clothes really as it was warmer in Wales. Now I'm wet and miserable and the person behind me has opened a window so its freezing! Can't people be more considerate?
