Ehm, well, ehm, depends on who you ask. I need to get a small operation done before the trip and still got no date for it. The op is no biggie, normally needs no real down time but I've learned in the past that I can easily need much longer to recoup. We really aim for at least 6 but prefer at least 8 weeks to recoup but somehow the specialist still thinks he can get me in peachy shape within 2 days like no risk patients. So that could make things interesting unless I get a date real soon now. I'm always carefull to not want to jinx myself -been known to do that :rolleyes1 - but am kinda acting as if nothing is going on. I'm planning on going but let's touch wood.

Isn't it just a pain? I don't know your health system, but if it is more private then why can't you get it done quickly?

I do hope it is soon as the clock is ticking (of course;)). I do hope you will be onboard with us. We are learning how strong a person you are so I am EXPECTING you to be there!:thumbsup2

No problem.....between the Zumba and the Riverdance....everyone should sweat the alcohol right out of their system!! No after effects!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That's paints a happy picture

Okay, Claire, I need to ask - What is this Resolve you are talking about?
Sounds like something we could all use on this cruise! LOL! :thumbsup2

A morning after the night before cure :sick::sick: which is much better than drinking a raw egg

On the subject of Morrisons, I am thinking Gibraltar doesn't need the siege tunnels anymore :rotfl2::rotfl2: they have a new attraction the siege of Morrisons, and what a sight that's going to be !!!

margaret

Can't find the info. on the cost of the pin. :confused3 Can someone help me. Thanks

Five Euros each. :thumbsup2

Claire, the big bags look like this (smaller the same but in much smaller size);

Thanks for the pic that helps.:thumbsup2

YOU WILL BE ON THE CRUISE!!! Have faith and a little bit of Pixie Dust!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Yes it's just like a wine bottle but cream coloured. I got some in asda last week was £10 and very yummy! Here is pic if bottle

http://http://www.kwmwine.com/shop/shop.php?action=full&id=1571

I had something similar last week but it wasn't Bacardi branded, i'll have to try that one. :thumbsup2

Today is a great day! I put an item on eBay Monday and it sold today  It was my first eBay venture so I'm excited.

Thanks Lynne! It looks like we may be able to sneak in a visit tomorrow after all.

I don't mind taking 14+ days, but my boss isn't such a fan! Appeased him by promising to bring the laptop and check in every day. It's not that I'm indespensible, but he's a worrier. :rotfl2:

Well, at least he's open to letting you go for that time. I have to ask....what does smootenloopers mean? Its such a fun name.

Weather at WDW--it is raining, but so far I haven't heard thunder.

Karen

I've been here (Orlando) since last Thursday, and I think it has rained every day. Thunder only one or two days, though.

Ah, well, that's summer time in Florida. You have to decide to grab a poncho and/or an umbrella, put on your flip-flops and not care if your feet get wet. A rainy day at Disney is still better than a sunny day at work! Remember - bright side, always! ;)

Yes Pat you are right. Thanks. We are probably going to go tomorrow afternoon despite the weather.

I wonder if I can get the GPS to work on my phone over open water. It would be lovely to have my Google Sky map working on my phone on a nice clear evening. I remember from the EBTA that they had a captain that was out there and showing us where different stars and planets were. It would be nice to see them anytime.

I remember that guy too. He was an interesting character.

The dogs w/ anxiety issues start doggie day-care next week. If they do well with that, I'll probably be less inclined to worry about them while we're away. I'm also planning a couple of over-nighters for them before we leave. (Don't tell me I don't have kids! ;) )

Pat, what kinds of anxiety do your dogs have? They are sensitive creatures aren't they?
My baby had separation anxiety very bad when we first got him. He destroyed SO many things - library books, a carpet, a chair, remote controls, cds, magazines, newspapers and even the gear shift in my car! I read up and started doing some things and finally he stopped and now we can leave him anywhere. :littleangel:

Same here, did gibraltar last year too, so not at all bothered about it this year. will go to morrisons if its open then will probably head back to the ship

We did not do Morrissons last year - apparently we are crazy! :rotfl: - but I'm sure we'll check it out this year. I don't know what else we'll do, but going back to the ship early would be tough for my husband to do I think.

:sad1::sad1:Good morning everyone I am feeling very sad this morning, have just waved off my DD . She’s going to do her practice trek for her Duke of Edinburgh award around Snowden in Wales over the next week. The longest time she’s been away from home without us, and I’m now wondering how I’m going to leave her for our cruise if I feel like this now ! ( by the way she’s 17 ). A group of young girls walking 8/10 miles a day… just hoping they don’t get lost/hurt and they read the map correctly. Most likely explains why I,ve been feeling a little stressed :sad1:
Margaret

 I hope everything goes well for your DD. It sounds like a wonderful experience.

Welcome to all new cruisers.

Have been MIA for a while, it is the end of the financial year here in Australia and have been entering data into accounts for 2 small companies. Just finished and glad to report everything reconciles so apart from a few queries that need to be sorted out I will be able to roll over the figures for the new financial year on Friday.:cheer2::cheer2:

On top of that, renovations on the house are still going on, which normally would not be a problem except I work from home.

Thought for a few weeks that the folks were going to cancel on me, my youngest brother was not very well, but it now looks like we are still on track for the cruise.

Burnice

Welcome back Burnice! I hope your brother continues to improve.

I'm packing my Tea Bags for the cruise. I have to have my cuppa on a morning. Don't like this twinings rubbish ;):lmao:

Maybe like the chocolate ignorance that some have established, I have tea ignorance? I actually really like Twinings English Afternoon and especially their Mint Green Tea. I also drink some loose-leaf teas of other more obscure brands (like Tea & Spice Exchange.)

For you tea-drinkers, what are the better brands out there? Maybe I will look for those at Morrisons....

On the subject of Morrisons, I am thinking Gibraltar doesn't need the siege tunnels anymore :rotfl2::rotfl2: they have a new attraction the siege of Morrisons, and what a sight that's going to be !!!

margaret

So right! LOL!!!!!!

Karen
do they do zumba classes on the ship.... because if not will have to join
the riverdance crew !!!

Margaret

I've never heard of this Duke of Edinburgh award (not surprising, no "Dukes" in Texas but old dogs) but trekking around with a map for 8--10 miles a day sounds like a real adventure and accomplishment! I understand your sadness and you have my sympathy.

What's the riverdance crew? Is this brought on by Bailey's and coffee (dis-inhibition and caffeine can be dangerous  )

Isn't it just a pain? I don't know your health system, but if it is more private then why can't you get it done quickly?

You are opening up such a can of worms, here. :rotfl2: Our system isn't bad by far when we compare to for instance NHS or US covered healthcare but is sure does has it's own problems. I'm used to no quick ways as my condition is too rarely known. It takes time to find the right specialist, even more to do all the tests involved as I'm a high risk patient. It's just aggravating to have to deal with an department that can not do the even most basic planning properly. Can't wait till my ops there are done and I can go back to my own specialist.

I do hope it is soon as the clock is ticking (of course;)). I do hope you will be onboard with us. We are learning how strong a person you are so I am EXPECTING you to be there!:thumbsup2

Why what a compliment. Thanks so much! :hug:I'm also hoping and acting upon it but each passing day at the moment does slowly increase the stresslevel a bit. Having said that; travel is THE most important thing for me and I will do whatever is needed and beyond to make that possible. I won't jinx myself, but if there is any possibility I'll be aboard to have a blast.

Wow. I go to sleep and try to get some work done and you guys explode with talking. :scared1::)

I am not going to even try and go back and find all of the posts I want to reply to so bear with me as I try to put as much as possible on one post.

To the one that asked about July 5th. I might be able to meet up after I get off work, no idea what DH will be doing, probably working over time, bless him.

The question about grocery stores in Orlando. Walmart is ok but you have to be very careful with them especially if you are buying produce. An acquantance (I am sure I spelled that wrong) took a picture of green and blue cantalope at the one on 192. Yuck. Publix has the best produce but if you get a chance try Whole foods. Some stuff can be a bit more expensive but they have a wide range of stuff that you might not find anywhere else.

What is this about Twinings Rubbish??? My mother loves twinings and she has tea almost every night. She only drinks the English Breakfast or Earl Gray variety so if you think you have a better version please bring me a bag or two to let her try.

As far as cell phones, yes my Google Sky maps is on my Droid. Ah well. I will try it. If it works great. If not no worries. I have to bring it anyway, the two children (our friends 4 yr old and my husband) can't live without Angry Birds.

:lmao::lmao: we wish! :lmao::lmao:

Me too, I like Earl Grey, but I can't stand the breakfast tea, yuk !!

when are you off to WDW then? or is this for after the cruise?

3 weeks on Saturday  I've only just unpacked, washed and ironed the clothes from the cruise last week and I'll be re-packing them again

Me too. Always take my Clipper tea bags to WDW with me. Although I find there that the milk never tastes quite the same. But don't function in the morning until I've had at least 2 nice cuppas:surfweb:

The milk is hideous, but it's better than nothing :lmao:

A pain reliever for headache's & to settle your tummy! :rotfl2:

I noticed last weekend that they had it in poundland, i'll stock up on a few boxes next time I am in. If anyone has a bad hangover, they know I have the necessary remedy :thumbsup2

What's the riverdance crew? Is this brought on by Bailey's and coffee (dis-inhibition and caffeine can be dangerous  )

It's a longstanding joke from months ago that the deck 6 occupants were going to do the Riverdance to annoy the deck 5 occupants down below and make lots of noise, which has now just evolved into some general dancing up and down the corridors of deck 6 :lmao: :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Keeping our fingers crossed here that you will get word soon and will definitely be joining us all :yay:

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Always looking for new low-carb recipes - i've lost 55 pounds low carbing and would like to lose another 55. My strategy when we eat out is to allow myself 3 bites of my dh's dessert if it's special, or ONE Lindt ball after lunch, if I've been good. It seems to keep my cravings in check.

We're going on the 3rd year of low carb eating and while my weightloss has stalled lately, I'm off blood pressure med, off diabetes med, and off two asthma meds - which is HUGE - not only for health, but for the wallet!

That is a fabulous job! Well done! All those meds no longer necessary!

I'm off all my meds for high cholesterol and triglycerides, which sounds crazy considering the amount of fat I eat. However, without the carbs I post great numbers on the blood tests. So when I have my shopping cart full of bacon and beef and someone dares to give me the eye, I just smile and wave!

However, please don't turn me in on the cruise if I should happen to have a chocolate-covered strawberry--those things sound amazing as an afternoon treat!

Gosh, I was so excited to be meeting Sarah, then Lauren. If anyone else is going to be at WDW on July 5, you are surely welcome to join us. Once we decide on a time and place, we can hope that anyone in the area can make it. Just in case anyone does not have a Park Hopper pass, maybe it would be best to meet somewhere at DTD? Just a thought.

I keep saying...I am available anytime and I am willing to meet anywhere. Just let me know.

Karen

Re the Tea - I like my tea very strong and I find that Twinings is too weak for me and I like my tea tasting of tea, not floral/fruity...LOL's

Jacqueline - you will be joining us on the cruise :)

I think you're getting dragged along Jacqueline whether you like it or not!

Not keen on tea myself, the only time I drink it is if I'm ill or really really cold and there's nothing else around. Even then I have to put at least three sugars in it. Really do have such a sweet tooth!

My mom is the same way about her tea. She drinks it with just a bit of milk in it. No fruity teas for her.

And Squity you need to take that dog picture off your signature line. Just kidding. I love labs. It makes me miss my puppy. He was a Black Lab/Newfi mix. Best dog ever.

Finaly, I have read all the pages of today.

First, the bad wether was over in a couple of hours. Lots of dammage everwere, but not here.

And then, what are you talking about again, is Morrison and which alcohol you will buy. And how you get over the morning after.
And then strawberry's in choclate...mmmmmm I like that too.
O and the tea. I don't drink much tea. But I like the earl grey and herbal one we called rooibos(I don't know it in English).

And all of you that go on WDW on july 5th. Have much fun with each other.

And I am getting a good way around with my FE gifts. It's my first time, but I find it much fun. And I found a (little) FE to hang on the fish. I only have to personalise it. I hope it is not to small.

That's the way I like mine, just a tiny bit of milk, no sugar!!!

Aww - We used to have 5 - We've lost 2 over the last 3 years. We still miss them so bad!:sad2:
