I just had a random thought. Do we know if all of the navigator's verandah rooms are full?

We are in a 6A - I was thinking if all of the 7A's (navigator verandah) are full, we could book a GTY room in the verandah category and be guaranteed a 6A or higher anyway - AND save $1,700 by doing it!

Or is my logic off?

Okay we are going over some last minute details before we book this cruise. Is it too late to get involved in some of the great activities. FE list, Lanyard and Pin ordering. thanks Cindy:thumbsup2

Not a problem for me to add you to lanyard and pin ordering if you send me a PM.

This is the way we have done it on previous cruises, and I thought that was happening here too. I did wonder why your name was not on the FE list :confused3 So now when people are donating to the lanyard fund are they paying for their own lanyards .. I'm a little confused.

I thought John and I were on the FE list?? I haven't checked lately so if we are not, we should be on the list.

Anyway, what people are doing is contributing to the lanyard fund so all DIDers and their families who want one can get the DIS lanyard and holder that I making for this cruise.

we're doing the fe, but kicked in for the lanyards, too. is that ok? (on my phone @ work. hard to type.) ;)

Lots of people are doing both as John and I are doing both. but it also makes a nice way for those not doing the FE to contribute to a DIS activity.

Thanks for everyone response, Hopefully we will know by this weekend if we are cruising, and looking forward to joining in the activities. Cindy

Just checked back through my PM's. I don't see one from you for the FE. Remind me of your room number and I'll put you on the list. :thumbsup2

Weeeelllll, it might work out that way, then again, it might not. I tend to think they would be more likely to upgrade someone from a 7A to open one up for you. The GTY does say that it's a Navigator's verandah. I don't think I'd try it unless I was going to be perfectly happy in a 7A.

For anyone that wants to contribute to the lanyard fund, you can send your contribution on PayPal to my email address birkner@needinfo.com. Please be sure to tell me you DIS name so I can give you credit on the boards.

Just sent our contribution. Thanks so much for getting these done! Can't wait to see them, wear them and MEET EVERYONE!

Morning all / good evening to our US friends.

Well there is nothing like an early morning wake up call when you've got doggies sleeping in your bedroom. :lmao: 4.50am this morning they decided to come & lick my face whilst I was asleep......scared the life out of me. :rotfl2: I guess I will be having an afternoon nap later. ;)

Sarah - DId you enjoy POTC4??? I really want to go see it but at the moment we can't leave poorly pup so have to wait or week or two.

Hello everyone. I just discovered these boards and I have spent several hours skimming over the thousands of posts. My wife and I are very excited about what may be our first Disney Cruise. We were planning on taking the September 3rd Mediterranean cruise but it is apparently no longer available. We are considering taking the August 20th cruise instead. If not, this will be our first.

To Noel -- I just sent you a $10 gift via paypal for the Lanyard fund. Please accept my thanks for your efforts on this project.

To everyone else who has worked so hard on organizing so many activities, thank you. I am still trying to figure out which of these activities we wish to participate in. I will contact people via PM accordingly, very soon.

I look forward to meeting everyone and having a fabulous journey bringing the Magic Home.

Best regards,
Jerry and Linda

:welcome: Jerry & Linda

We are a very chatty bunch so it will take a long time if you want to catch up from the begining as we do waffle a lot.

We are Claire & Lee from England, this will be our 3rd cruise (all DCL) & we are so excited about it being such a long one. We have only done 4 nighters in the past and time flies way too quickly.

Looking forward to getting to know you. :)

Aaawww, sweet! Does that mean Stamy is feeling better? :dogdance:

Dennis actually wanted to go to the midnight show of POTC4 tomorrow night (or technically, tonight - I just looked at the time). I reminded him that he'd have to get up for work 3 hours later - and as it turns out I'm working Friday morning, too - so we're going to wait til the weekend. It's tough getting old.

Now when Deathly Hallows Pt 2 opens, we'll be there - wizard robes, wands, and all. Yep, we're nerds.

:welcome: Jerry & Linda! We are Pat and Dennis from central Georgia (we were very bad in our past lives and are now being punished). This will be our 3rd DCL cruise, but like Claire and her hubby, our first for more than 4 nights.

Okay, off to bed with me. It's a long work day tomorrow - today - whatever.

He is more his usual self today. :goodvibes Thankfully only a tiny little bit of blood so far this morning so hopefully the wound is finally closing up......now the tricky bit is to keep him calm so he doesn't open it up!

I think we are going to have to wait until next weekend for POTC, until after Stamy has his stitches out, either that or I may get my parents to have him for a couple of hours one night next week.

I am really looking forward to Deathly Hallows pt2 too, I can not wait to see it. We loved the first part. :yay:
