Hi everyone,

Sorry to have been MIA for a bit, but things have been exceptionally busy! My DH finally returned to work yesterday so his recovery from back surgery has gone very well. He continues to do PT and is on a strict exercise regime that we are all trying to do as a family to support him. So, between school year end, trying to get caught up at work and family stuff, I've had very little time! I'm still stuck back on page 120 and really need to catch up!

Update on the t-shirts: I have tried to find a local silk-screen printer who is willing to take on the intricate design and have not been successful. Apparently, the designs will not work with a traditional silk-screen method and we either need to use something called "DTG - Direct to Garment" or Sublimation Dye. The one local printer that I was referred to that can do both DTG and Sublimation Dye quoted me a price that was, in my mind, outrageous...$19 per shirt with larger sizes being $25. One printer suggested going with heat transfers, but I'm not fond of those as they are stiff and hot underneath the design.

I think someone on the boards did a tshirt with another company for their family and I'm hoping that they can tell me who did it and how much it cost. At this point, I'm just about ready to give up on finding a reasonable way to do this. Two years ago, I did t-shirts for our Turkey Day Gang cruises, but the design was all one color and it was very inexpensive.

That's all for now. I hope to catch up by Monday and see what everyone has been doing. I can't believe the cruise is so close!

Karen

YAY for surgery recovery going well for him! :thumbsup2

I think you might be referring to me on t-shirts. We did them through VistaPrint with a 50% off special they had going on. Printing on front and back on white tshirt came to about $9.50 per shirt and they turned out good. The tshirt material is a little thin, but still fine. They also had the special where we could upload files for no charge, so I uploaded several files. I will see if I can find that post (or they are probably on the Facebook page).

Hmm - I really wonder if I should change our stateroom to deck 6, then. Decisions, decisions!

From the plans, deck 7 looks like it would be quieter as there are fewer staterooms. Does the verandah in 6150 seem as large as 7134 when you look on the plans? Looks same size to me.

The verandah's are the same size. If you aren't too bothered about looking straight down to sea then I would stay where you are. I like that it is that one deck closer to Deck 9 and would have booked there again apart from my issue with the rail!!!!:lmao: I have never ever heard anyone else mention the rail so it can't annoy many people.:confused3

However, you could save money moving down a deck if that helps the funds.;)

OMG we are so excited. My BFF and I will be joining this cruise group. Our husbands cannot get time off and told us to go and have a good time. We booked cruise and flight, so we are ready.:cool1::banana::yay::woohoo:

Wow! Just back from a crazy dash to the vets.

I was sitting here posting on the dis with my cup of tea an hour or so again and Stamy's head just started pouring with blood and we couldn't get it to stop. It seems to be ok at the moment though, the vet thinks it was a pool of blood under the skin from where the lump was removed. Gave me a fright though! Meanwhile my house looks like something out of a horror movie.....guess I better go clean up!

Gosh .. sounds horrendous!! Hope they managed tog et it sorted and that he is finally on the road to recovery

Hello everyone. I just discovered these boards and I have spent several hours skimming over the thousands of posts. My wife and I are very excited about what may be our first Disney Cruise. We were planning on taking the September 3rd Mediterranean cruise but it is apparently no longer available. We are considering taking the August 20th cruise instead. If not, this will be our first.

A big welcome aboard to you both :thumbsup2

Sarah - DId you enjoy POTC4??? I really want to go see it but at the moment we can't leave poorly pup so have to wait or week or two.

It's a brilliant film and we loved it. I loved all the POTC films so far, but I think this one is fantastic .. more of a call back to the style of the first one. My only regret is watching it in 3D .... too distracting and gave me a headache.
