I also just paid for my pin and donated to the Lanyard fund.

Actually my husband paid because I'm having problems with my paypal account. Which is quite nice because he has to pay every time I shop on ebay

Unfortunately he's fixing the problem right now

Visa is great but you can only spend $6000 a month and we paid for the cruise, the plane tickets and the deposit for our stay in Disney world this month, so he maxed out even trough there is money in the account.

Well I will be very happy to help if you got some questions about St Martin !!

But unfortunatly I cannot help so much with car retal compagnies...
Maybe a quick search on Google could help, I'm pretty sure the big compagnies (like "Hertz") are represented

But just a thing about have your "own" car in St Martin : the road are ok and it's very simple to getting oriented, but the traffic on this island can be HUGE!
So allow enough time to get back to the ship ^^
For example if you spend some time at Orient Beach (a very poular place on the north) allow one hour to come back to be sure you won't miss the Magic

A good thing too, if you are sure where you want to go, which place you want to visit, you can share a taxi with anoter couple

I was just made aware on another thread that some people consider "giving" to the lanyard fund to be their FE gift.

Does everyone do this on other cruises or what do people think?

I was told that some people who do not want to participate in the actual FE feel that this is a good way to contribute to the FE.

Costs of the lanyards are about $2-3 to give people an idea of the costs of anywhere from 100-150 lanyards for this cruise.

Any thoughts or comments?
