SeaVenture Info and Picture Package???

My son has talked me into SeaVenture. I have read both bad and good but hes 11 so I think it will be a great experience for him even if it is secluded. Can anyone who has particiapted lately give me any advice? I read some reviews that said you had to walk across the park to get a wetsuit so you should grab one in the morning..things like that.....Do they do a specific picture package just for SeaVenture? We will not be doing the dolphin swim just day passes. I am interested in renting a cabana and I know there is some sort of picture discount but I wasnt planning on a picture package since we arent doing the dolphin encounter. Is there something seperate for SeaVenture? Any and all comment/suggestions will be appreciated!!

My husband did SeaVenture a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it! I just asked him for a quote and he says: "The staff was very nice and supportive and made you feel comfortable and made sure everybody was in the moment. If my head was somewhere else they would tap me on the shoulder to tell me where to look. I was caught in the moment with the sea life. It was awesome."

They do require that you wear a wetsuit, so you will need to pick one up at some point. When we got there in the morning, everyone was given one at that time. If you opt for just a vest when you first arrive, know that wetsuits are available all day long at two stations that are both quite close to the Grand Reef area, so it's not a walk "across the park" to get one if you don't have one.

They have specific photo packages and videos just of SeaVenture. I do not believe that the discount in the package would apply to it, though -- it's totally separate from the photos connected to the dolphin experience. IMHO, the photos aren't that great because there isn't much light in the deep water and the sealife isn't as cute as the dolphins.

Thank you! I called Discovery Cove today and they told me that you can buy a CD from the camera that they loan you while underwater. It is $50 and she said that you cannot print any photos from the CD it is for viewing only. Is that how all DC photo CDs work? Anywhere we have purchased an expensive photo CD it came with a copyright so we could come home and print the photos!
