Wrong. You will watch Vic or Jeff when they win, and you will like the show!!!
You just don't realize it yet![]()

I'm curious to what was going through Bobby Flay's head, because his expletive was shown twice (for me it's an expletive... it bugs the heck out of me) and the look of shock on Bob's face was obvious, too.:
This bothered me, too. I don't understand why instead of editing out Bobby's "expletive", the Food Network chose to air it twice. I thought it was in poor taste and disappointing. I'm definitely not a prude or even a religious person, but I thought this was very disrespectful.
I don't have a problem with people saying that, so the fact that Bobby said it doesn't bother me, but I think it was a bad decision on FN's part to not edit it, and then to show it twice. Its offensive to alot of people, why would they keep it in there.
Penny lost sight of the fact that, no matter what they say, this contest is not just about the food. If this were Top Chef, maybe she'd win. But it's not. It's about who gets to host a show, and none of us who watch FN will ever get to taste her or anyone else's food.
That's why Mary Beth is still there. You don't have to be the best cook to be a FN host. You have to be personable and watchable.
But let's not get crazy, FN, please! You may have thought it was "warm and personable" when Whitney talked about her sorority sisters coming over for lunch. I thought it was contrived and fake (and I hate when Aarti does it) - we all know that there are no sorority sisters coming for lunch! The only one who can get away with it is Ina Garten, because we actually see the people showing up! I would have been fine with Whitney saying something like, "I made this for my sorority sisters in college, and everyone loved it and it was cheap enough for college students to make!" But let's get rid of the conceit that they're all cooking for their friends and a camera just happens to be there!
I felt bad for Jyll when Wolfgang gave her the cooking lesson. It was mortifying and awkward. I didn't agree with Suzy and Giada saying that they wanted her to show some emotion when she came back. I think the fact that she was able to keep her composure says a lot more! I would not have came back out!
I think for Wolfgang, it's #1. He didn't have that haughty "I know everything" attitude that, say, Anthony Bourdain does. And think about it - how much would Jyll and all the other contestants have paid to have a private cooking lesson from Wolfgang Puck???I'm torn about what Wolfgang did. I don't think his intentions were bad but it could be taken a few ways 1. He is a talented successful chef who genuinely wants to help younger chefs succeed and is generous with his knowledge or 2. he doesn't care about someone else's feelings he is the expert and they should be in awe. I'm not sure how Bobby took it ~ was he upset Wolfgang took over? Was he embarassed that Jyll cooked poorly Wolfgang had to school her?? Did he feel it reflected badly on him, Suzie and Bob???
I was glad to see Penny go she was hard to watch. And I think there are plenty of people on FN who can't necessarily cook but have shows ~ Kid in a Candy Store, Outrageous Foods. Eat Street etc....
I agree with the eliminations, but one was definitely a surprise!

Yeah, that's who I expected.
Now, on the other hand, the person who won was a slam dunk. What a great job with the Rachael Ray challenge! Did that air Friday, or will it be on tomorrow, or did I miss it by weeks? Anybody know?
