Has anyone used these? My husband has a real problem with motion sickness and I always drug him up with Dramamine and he sleeps all day.

We're going to St. Thomas next week and we have a day sail/snorkel excursion planned with two other couples and I had just planned to drug him....but now I've read about these Sea Bands and I'm thinking that might be the way to go. He loves to snorkel, but he's never sailed and I just don't want his day ruined with motion sickness.

THANKS!!!

I have never used them, personally, but I know a few people who have used them, and they do seem to work. I'd say it's atleast worth a try. Better than being sleepy... or sick!

Hi Patty! I can't answer your question about Sea Bands, however, I've started using the "Less Drowsy" Dramamine and there really is a difference. Have a great time!!

Try Bonine. It prevents motion sickness but won't make him sleepy. You can find it over the counter at pharmacies. I wouldn't rely on sea bands.

I have worn Sea Bands for years. They have taken care of me on car trips, bus rides, plane trips, and through 2 pregnancies. I have not tried them on a boat, haven't had the opportunity, but I would say wear them, and take along some non-drowsy dramamine just in case. Also, avoid dairy products the morning of the trip, and try eating lighter, unfussy food. I have fruits, maybe some egg, toast... or a salad with chicken or something if it is later in the day. Also, stay hydrated, and have a blast!

I have use them (sail boat) and didn't work well for me. I don't really have any recommendations on what to use.

I also recommend eating a light meal before the trip and to be well hydrated. Have fun!

My sister uses them and loves them. But she says you have to be careful about where you put them. She says that if she puts them in the wrong spot, it actually makes it worse. So I'd practice before you go.

I don't know what Sea Bands are.

My brother asked me to prescribe a scopalamine patch that one wears behind the ear.

It is good for 3 days.
