"PORTLAND, Ore. -- An Oregon man got a big surprise on a commercial flight from Seattle to Anchorage, Alaska, when he was stung by a scorpion in his seat."

Good advice if you find a scorpion crawling on your arm. Guess maybe I'm glad we're flying southwest this year....

' "He got stung because he threatened it," Brooks said. "Had he used something else to get it off with or just calmly tried to move it onto something else, it probably wouldn't have stung him." '

The scorpion was probably peeved that the guy was swatting at him instead of bringing him his complimentary peanuts. Service on flights has gone so far downhill. :rolleyes1

:confused3

Seems a lot more likely that you'll find a scorpion on SWA than on Alaska Airlines.

From the same article

"During a Southwest Airlines flight in 2009, an Arizona man was stung while traveling from Phoenix to Indianapolis. His 10-year-old son found the rest of the family of scorpions in the luggage compartment over their seats."

Doh! And we're changing planes in Austin, too. Guess I should have read the article closer.

We're trying southwest this year because Alaska never had a fare sale to orlando. Kinda bummed about that, but up for a new adventure.
