It was open in late December when I was there, I haven't heard anything about it closing but I know it reopened with the park

We have a reservation at the end of this month. Definitely open but reservations are incredibly hard to get. I tried at 6am at the 60 day mark, two days in a row and came up empty handed. A reservation finder was able to find me one eventually. But they are definitely tough to get.

Sci-Fi was always the hardest ADR to get for us. We usually got it after checking back a few times. It's on our must-do list.

its so hard to get ,my wife and I usually each take a lunch off from a family trip to go relax and have a solo meal at a place we enjoy (and buy souvenirs the kid dont know about)and thats where I picked,well I'm now one man with a reservation for 4 people because thats all there was.

Yes I have a reservation next week. It was very hard to get. I tried at 60 days and couldn't find anything. I signed up Touring Plans Reservation Finder and got a text a few days ago with an available time.

It was always a popular reservation but is all the more difficult now because they are no longer sharing cars (used to be a party of 2 could sit behind a party of four for example), and they are not seating every car to allow for spacing. I've also heard that sometimes a party of 2 could not a get a reservation but a party of four could, because they are limiting the number of small parties allowed since every small party effectively gets a car that seats up to 6 for themselves.

It's super weird because our ADR window opened up a few days ago and I was able to book SciFi for the exact time we wanted for a party of 6. Then I was thinking of changing and found several days and times available. Had never had that happen before. Even when I checked yesterday I saw multiple times available - both for lunch and dinner. It was actually the easiest ADR I made!

I think it's easier to get if you're a larger party vs. a smaller party. I couldn't get one for our last trip for 2, but was able to make a reservation for 4 at pretty much any time I wanted - we just made a reservation for 4 and selected that we had 2 people when we checked in on the app. For what it's worth, when we were outside waiting to be seated, on a very busy full capacity day, they were accommodating walk-ups of parties of 2, but seemed to be turning away larger parties who asked about walk-up availability.

Yes, the advantage for an on-site resort guest is the 60 + 10 days. Usually the further out you look, the better luck you have. So trying for one of the last days of your vacation might be better than trying for the first day.

And online reservations start at 6am eastern time, phone lines open at 7.

So more than likely they are already gone at 60 days. I don’t have any trips, I’m local and I thought I was going to love the move to 60 days but it’s been impossible to eat most places we like since reopening.

I had difficulty booking a decent time at 180+ days prior to the closing. It has limited seating in the best of circumstances, it is unique and family friendly and theming is great. I had stalked the website, message boards and Touring Plans reservation finder to finally get a late ADR. I think it is pretty popular.

^ This. We had a 9-night trip planned, and we had our 2nd day at DHS on our last day. As soon as 6am hit at 60 days out I was trying for Sci-Fi on that last day, because I figured it was my best shot of getting something.... and we had a big group. I was able to get two ADR's for our group of 14 - one for 8 and one for 6. I couldn't believe I got them! Pretty excited to say the least.

When are you going? We are going May. I tried a few "practice tries" for ADR's before my 60 day window and Sci Fi was not to be found. But on my 60 day out, I got everything I wanted for a party of 8, I almost thought it was a mistake. I can't figure out why it was so easy to get everything I wanted for a party of 8, Sci Fi had multiple times available. But I went back in to make a few adjustments and all times were gone for Sci Fi, Sanaa, Beaches and Cream and CRT. Somehow I lucked out!!
