I hadn't heard the stories about him, so this one shocked me. I applaud NBC for their quick reaction, and feel awful for his family and those he hurt. Hopefully this pervasive attitude of using authority to gain adult favors will diminish now that these big names are being outed.

I have to assume that this wasn't the first complaint and that the execs knew - or at least "heard" - about issues for a while. This time, though, they realized they had to take action quickly before word got out that they knew of serious issues and did nothing.

I don't watch network morning shows but I never thought much of him when I did see him.

Last year there were rumors that Natalie Morales and him were having an affair, and that's why she was moved to the west coast. I'm curious if the victim will come forward to share their side of the story. It must have been compelling for NBC to react as quickly and firmly as they did. The statement on Today said they had reason to believe it was not an isolated incident as well.

Not only that, but Meredith Vieira and Al Roker have both shown disdain for the guy. And he's given off creepy vibes in interviews, like the Ann Hathaway wardrobe malfunction thing from a few years ago.

I'm inclined to think a male would be up for his replacement, but anything is possible. Carson Daly seems like a possibility, but I think Willie Geist would have more experience. Curious to see what route they go with the replacement now.
