Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Good afternoon, ladies! I have been an absent Sassy lately - sorry about that. I finished school yesterday and pretty much spent the rest of the day running around, shuttling kids here and there to further promote their social lives and physical fitness. I am soooooooooo glad to be done! The students were quite squirelly at the end there. I'll have to keep that in mind for next year and get a bigger bag of tricks. Or, I could hire Cole since it seems she is looking for something to do. Maybe she'd dye her hair rainbow colors and teach the kids some dance moves. What do you think, Judi?

It's blazing hot today - around 98 degrees. Two days ago it was in the 70's - go figure. We spent the morning at the pool, thank heavens Barney's 5:30 a.m. nonsense doesn't start until next Monday. 7 a.m. is a lot more palatable. Today will be filled with laundry and cleaning; plus packing for the swim meet this weekend. Bonnie - we'll be up in Manassas at the Freedom Aquatic Center. I'd come visit but I have to officiate all day.

Becca and Judi - congrats on the Wings win! Has the town calmed down yet? Congratulations on the 15 years too, Becca - that's a nice long stretch! Mr. FofP and I will celebrate 15 next year but it definitely doesn't seem that long.

Tricia - How's things? How is Kelsie's driving going?

Angie - Bonnie tells me that you are going to be a granny. When is the big event supposed to take place? You'll be a swinging grandma, I know it!

Heather - think of yourself not as Mean Mom, but Responsible Mom! It's all in how you spin it. Is this Kate's last day? Has Joey had any noteworthy escapades lately?

Yes I am! In case any of you are wondering how I could possibly be a grandma since I am SO young (and childless), my DH is 10 years older than me and also has a 26 year old daughter from his first marriage. She is due in October. We should find out if it's a girl or boy very soon. She lives in San Diego, so this should mean more trips there to visit, which is fine by me cuz I really like it there (except for the constant rush hour traffic!!).

Wilma~~I am trying to think of some good Joey moments to share, but for the most part it ahs just been the same old escapades. The exception being that when I take the dog out he thinks he has to pee in the yard too....and occasionally when he feels the need to go he tries to sneak out the back door instead of going to the bathroom.

I am also trying to teach him that sitting on the dog just to hear her growl is not a very nice thing to do and it most certainly isn't hilarious.

She likes it OK. If it were up to Kelsie she wouldn't work and just bum off of us. Not happening!!! She works tonight from 5 to 9 and it's also the first time that I'm going to let her take the car by herself. Anyone got a drink they could share? I think I'm going to need it.

Thanks for the confidence Judi. I hope it gets easier as time goes on. I know I'll be watching the clock for the whole ten minutes it takes her to get there. I told her she better call me as soon as she park the car in park, don't talk or even look at her cell phone until she gets there.

Hey girls! I just drove heather and her friend Kaitlyn to the 8th grade dance. It was their first dance and they got all fancified. I took a couple of pics but can't find my camera cord. When we got to the school and I saw all those kids gussied up, it brought a tear to my eye.


Brent took the other two to their school luau dance at the elementary school. So now I'm home alone!
