I don't know what a spricket is either.......maybe our good friend google will know brb

A spricket is one of those crickets that is brown with the brown spots, huge legs and a round body. they jump incredibly high! I don't know if they have a scientific name or not, but they give me the creeps.

OK....from what I found on google, a spricket is a camel cricket and supposedly looks like a cross between a spider and a cricket (it has a kinda humpback appearance). I didn't see any pics though so maybe I need to investigate further......unless Wilma posts pictures

Sprickets are not supposed to chirp like a normal cricket though.

I have never seen a spricket. Right now I am battling frogs....well actually I guess they are toads. We haven't had much rain so I don't know why we have so many. Jasmine is having a field day trying to catch and eat them. I would prefer she just leave them alone sice they can make her foam at the mouth if she eats one.

True, there is no chirping. That's what makes them so freaky! You can't hear them and then WHAM - you are assaulted by this springy flying thing.

I'll take your toads if you take my sprickets. I can teach them to swim and develop a new-fangled Toad Swim Team.

That would freak me out too. The June bugs are starting to make an appearance down here and they are bad about flying in your hair. The kids find it highly entertaining to watch me jump up and down trying to shake loose a rogue June bug from my hair

I don't know what a June bug looks like. Why don't we have an entymologist on this thread? I thought we were supposed to be educational! Sheesh!

June bugs are a beetle that flies around at night. They are a little bigger than a pinto bean I guess and ahve a really hard shell. Their legs are a little curled or something too because they really stick in your hair....blech.

I watched Dances with Wolves this weekend. I checked it out from the library and it was the extended version (more than 3 hours). It has alot of extra scenes in it that made the movie make lots more sense.

That movie has a really good soundtrack. I checked out a CD that had some of the theme music from the movie and am listening to it now. I like movie theme music.

That movie has a really good soundtrack. I checked out a CD that had some of the theme music from the movie and am listening to it now. I like movie theme music.

I like that movie a lot! I am also a movie soundtrack girl. I am quite fond of the Moulin Rouge soundtrack.

Did DH decide on the travel nurse job?

What are your plans for today? I have to do laundry or Kate will be nekked. Funny how the rest of us have clothes to wear I told her that her dirty clothes had better start finding their was into the hamper so they can get washed with the rest of the clothes

I have to take Bambam to his swim practice in a few minutes, then we'll hit the library. It's going to be too hot to really do things outside, so we'll be hanging out in the house. Maybe break out the board games.

Barney has to do his laundry today too - his is always full before the rest of us which is why I make him do his own!
