Good evening, Sassy ladies. We got back a few hours ago after having a lovely time. It was busy, but a lot of fun for all.

Judi - I am glad you are contacting hospice - they are great people. They will really help support you and your mom through this next part. Glad to hear she's been eating a bit more, I hope that is helping her comfort level.

DH and I have decided that it is time to put Linus to sleep. He's been deteriorating over the last few weeks and has been weakening all over. He's lost the sparkle in his eye and looks ready to move on. I am taking him to the vet in the morning. I worry about the kids more than anything else in this, but we'll get through it over time.

Becca that storm sounds so scary. I'm glad your family and home made it through.

I've got quite an early day for our household. That is unless you're Wilma because she might think it's sleeping in. Kelsie has to be to work for 7:30 this morning. (They are having a World Series Tournament all week). Kendall has cheerleading for 8:00. So, that means we all leave together at 7:10.

Judi we can't do the rare thing but I have leftover medium rare. Will that work?

Wilma I'm so sorry about Linus. I know how hard today will be for you and the boys.

Wilma, I'm glad you're back but I am so sorry about Linus. We had our cat put down a couple months ago and I remember all too well how difficult it is losing a pet. Let me know if you need some support!

Good morning Sassys! Looks like we are in for more storms today, glad the generator is ready to go. We were lucky, when the twins got here today their mom said they didn't get power back until Saturday at 10pm. They only live a few miles from us.

Wilma, I'm so sorry. Give the boys a hug from us and we are thinking about your family.

Becca, so glad you are OK. I hate being without power -- at least you have a generator. How big is it and what all does it power for you? Is it gas?? I hope you don't need it today and that you can DIS all you want!!

Wilma~I'm SO sorry about Linus! You just have to remember that he had a great life and you will always have wonderful memories of him. It's such a shame their lives are so short. If you need anything just let me know.

It's been 6 months since we had to put Misha to sleep and just Thursday night I started crying thinking about her. It just hit me out of the blue...

We had a nice weekend. We saw Wall-E on Friday and loved it!! Then we went to PF Changs and the D-Backs game on Saturday. The D-Backs lost!! Yesterday was just laundry and relaxing.

Becca~that must have been some storm!! Glad you're all OK. Thank goodness you have a generator.

Julie~I have no words for the elephant thong...

Judi~glad you had fun at your big 4th of July party!! You sure deserved a night out.

Tricia~are you trying to steal Wilma's title of World's Busiest Mom? Anyone who says that SAHM's have it easy should try living your lives for awhile!

Bonnie~'sup? Didja have a fun weekend? By the way, Gertie is 50. This morning I got a blow by blow detailed description of her doctor's appointment last Thursday. Lovely way to start the day. TMI!!!

I haven't had to have the air on much this summer so I figure I should be able to set it a few degrees cooler. Doesn't that make sense? Brian disagrees, but to me it makes sense. What does everyone have their air set on? Its the QOTD.

We also had a sink hole from the storms! Our well head collapsed about 30 feet, it was really weird! Brendan showed everyone he could find to see it, I started charging for admission to our Grand Canyon. Now we have to have our water tested before we can drink it. At least there is no sand in the water so thats a good sign. I was sure Justin would fall into the hole since he has no fear so Brian had to put stakes and caution tape up until we could get it filled.

Judi, do the festivities go on all week? Or did it end after the weekend?

Julie, I love caverns! Unfortunately, they are not plentiful in Michigan. Our generator runs our fridge, deepfreezer, some lights, laptop, the tv in our bedroom and most importantly the pump. We live in the boonies and don't have city water so when we lose power we lose water too. I had to flush the potties with the pool water till Brian hooked up the generator.

Angie, I still miss Toby and he's been gone for 6 years. There have been several Things that have lost pets.
