Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Hey Becca! QOTD: We don't have central air and we don't run our window air conditioners much unless it is sweltering. The first floor of our house stays fairly cool. We have AC in our bedrooms and one on our landing that is huge and does the whole 1st floor. We usually only have to run them a week or two. We had them on a couple of days in the beginning of June so far. So I guess I am not much help to you...

We went to Penn's Cave, which is toured by boat -- It's air temp is 52 and the water is 38. Very NEAT!!!! And then we went to Indian Caverns, which is a walk through. It was OK, but they have added so much (railings, concrete steps, etc in various places) that it didn't seem quite as cool. But at both we panned for gems and that was FUN. We got lots.

How was everyone's Monday????? I have to work 1/2 day tomorrow, and all of Wed and Thursday, I think.... I don't know if I can take it... ;)

Julie, is that Indian Echo caverns you are referring to? In PA? We went there last summer! That was our first cavern experience and we thought it was neat. Of course, we have since been to Luray, which is much more spectacular, but we really enjoyed Indian Echo when were there!

Julie, where in PA do you live? I'm going to Lancaster County/Hershey at the end of the month. Is that anywhere near you?

QOTD~~ I like to set the thermostat to 72.....Scott thinks 74 is better...he freezes, so we compromise and have it at 73 most of the time. I like it cold:goodvibes

Hey Toot! No, this was Indian Caverns in Spruce Creek, PA. A tiny little town that if you blink you miss it. The caverns were OK there, but I don't know that I'd make a special trip to see that one. Now, Penn's Cave is worth a trip. You see the whole thing by boat and that is cool. We haven't been to Luray or Indian Echo, but we'll have to put them on our to-do list.

I live about 45 minutes south of State College (PSU & Happy Valley). About 20 minutes east of Altoona, in Blair County. So we are west of Lancaster/Hershey. It takes us almost 2 hrs to get to Hershey. We try to go at least 1 time per year. They are really adding stuff to Hersheypark. You almost need a couple of days to do it with the waterpark and all. Are you going to Hersheypark? Where are you staying??

Good morning Sassys! Get up you sleep head, haul your hiney out of bed. Motivate your sleepy head and haul your hiney out of bed. They always played that on the radio station I listened to in high school. Very annoying but it worked.

Heather, now I feel air stingy. We have ours set on 76, I'm bumping it down to 75 today and 74 tomorrow. He will never notice if I do it slooooowly. When I was pregnant I had it set on 68, he always came in and put on long pants and long sleeves, but I was still sweating.:lmao:

Rise and Shine. :cutie:

Becca your song worked because I'm up.

Yesterday was one crazy day for me. I felt like all I did all day long was ride up and down the highway transporting one kid here and one kid there. :confused3 A mother's job is never done! Kelsie used how crazy and hectic yesterday was as a great example of why she needs a car.

Today Kelsie is going to work with her friend. They have the same schedule today so I caught an easy break today. We are going to the library and to the video store to rent a couple of movies. We always go on Tuesday because all rentals are $2 and are good for five days so that means I can keep them until Sunday. :thumbsup2 Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Good morning!!

Julie~~ I need to borrow Atlas please......I need a 415 or 430 wakeup call. My cellphone keeps shutting itself off in the middle of the night and today we overslept:headache:

Anyone have any big plans today? We are going to the cheap summer movie. Today is Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium:woohoo: Anyone want to place any wagers on how long Joey sits still today?:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Heather I rented that movie last week. Another of our Tuesday adventures. I thought it was cute but I give Joey about halfway through.

When I was pregnant with Joey we had our air on about 68..sometimes lower if I could sneak it in. I was so hot all the time. My family felt sorry for me because I was so sick the whole time Nobody complained too much. I guess, because I was so miserable sick, that they felt at least I should try to be cool:upsidedow

I am betting he sits for about 40 minutes....how long is the movie? I want to see it, but I will jsut ahve to rent it to catch the end.

Becca~~ what is the humidity like where you are? We have high humidity, so it feels hotter than it actually is. I would think that, since you shouldn't ahve to use it as much, that you could set your air wherever you want:thumbsup2

Good morning Heather! Our humidity comes and goes, right now its really high, but tomorrow will be much better. I should be able to turn the air off tonight for a few days which is really nice! With the price of everything going up we are trying to conserve where we can, but I think our gas/elec bill is really reasonable.

Tricia, sounds like Kelsie is working the angles to get her some wheels! I would keep her dependent on your vehicle as long as possible. I would not have been happy about it at her age, but I have a whole new perspective as a parent!

Heather, I give Joey 15-20 minutes if that. It isn't very small child friendly imo. Now watch he'll probably sit through the whole thing!

Hi Sassies!!!

Heather -- YES, you may borrow Atlas. I am not sure how well he will work without MrJulie going to the bathroom... They were up at 2:20 this AM!! Atlas is more trainable than MrJulie... :confused3

I give Joey 49 minutes....

ETA...

Any other takers?:lmao:

Morning, Sassies!! How is everyone doing? I am doing well! My tummy is all jacked up though, so I am walking around with unbuttoned and half-way unzipped pants! I hope no one notices! :goodvibes I'm behind the desk most of the time, but I do have to go to different rooms and stuff. Good thing I have a loose shirt on! :dance3:

I stayed up super late last night, till like 1:00, watching the Bachelorette finale. And then After the rose. I tivod it so I started watching it at like 10:30. I'm gonna take a big fat nap when I get home!

McDonalds has Littlest Pet Shop toys again!!! My kids will be thrilled. so today I think I'll take them out for a happy meal. A nice cheap outing! We've been staying home lately so it will be nice for them to get out of the house.

What are you hags up to today?

Hi Bonnie~ I'm sorry your tummy hurts. Do you think it was something you ate? Are you almost out of work for the day?

Julie, I think seperate rooms are in order. If Brian got up at 2 and woke up the dog, he would be in the dog house and the dog in his spot on the bed.

Heather, I love how we are wagering on Joey! Do we win a free mooning?

Bonnie, sorry your tummy is upset. Would you like some pepto or tums? I even have some immodium if thats the issue. I'm always prepared!
