I'm good-who wouldn't be right before a 3 1/2 day weekend?? Only 2 1/2 more hours! Gertie is absolutely bouncing off the walls today. I think she may be a little manic depressive. It's only a 3 day weekend-you're not going off on your dream vacation of a lifetime-chill chicky!

Yeah, I don't like to be super busy but sometimes that's what we gotta do. At least my bushman eyebrows have been tamed!

So, what'd you get? I went to Target today and will do the Wally World run tomorrow. Don't you know I need to spread myself around.

I just pulled Colin's tooth. He now knows about the Tooth

but he did just ask if I could still give him

. I'm a sucker so of course I said yes.

I just made a really quick and quite tasty meal of chicken, baked fries and oh so sweet corn on the cob and of course iced tea to go along with that.

Well, we didn't make it to Walmart...we went to Target instead. Target has higher prices generally, but much better clearances. I found some jeans for Kate for 2.48, some bras for 2.48 and some skorts for 3.48. At prices like those even I could afford it

Have a great evening! I am off to play Wii with the kids. We have been playing Mario Kart and have been having a great time! Joey thinks it is hilarious when I drive Mario over the side of the road or when I crash. I used to pretty good at games.....I don't know what happened! One too many birthdays I guess

Hey girls! Man...it's been a long day! The party turned out to be pretty fun.There were like seven families there and it was pot luck and BBQ. The kids all hung out catching fireflies and climbing in trees and making a fourth of july craft, while the adults ate and chatted. Then we lit fireworks. A LOT of fireworks! Good times, man!

We don't have any big plans for today. Just grilling up some of the traditional hamburgers and hot dogs and tonight we'll go out to the lakefront to watch the fireworks display.

Judi how was the party? Isn't it the whole weekend long?

I've been pretty busy trying to catch up on sleep. Plus yesterday I had volleyball practice from 12-2. I don't know if I told you that I am the JV coach for the first time. I found muscles aching that I forgot I had!!
My husband and son really are supportive and wanted me to coach. But everyone else thinks I am nuts and already way too busy... I think it will be good for me though.

I have so much cleaning and house putzing that needs done. It is a good thing I have such a long weekend. The college gave us an extra holiday yesterday and wanted everyone to be off on Monday too in order to save energy. No problem!!!

Mr. Julie is working on painting a motorcycle set and a helmet. Mav (short for Maverick), our DS9, is playing video games and Atlas is passed out beside me!! I will try to get a pic of his tat to you -- you won't believe me if I just tell you about it!! If the rain holds off, we may go to the park tonight for the carnival and fireworks. I don't have a problem going to bed early though either.

Hi, Judi -- I am so very glad you got to go out for a few hours. You need a little sanity and normalcy wherever you can grab it.

Hi, Heather -- Hang in there girl!! You have quite the emotional rollercoaster too! It usually takes awhile for those deals to come together, so if it does happen, at least Scott knows to keep on the lookout now and maybe he will find a better position even if that place doesn't close.

Hey Bonnie -- Yes, our yard is quite big. I don't really know how many acres we mow, just that it is too much mowing even with riding mowers! We have 31 acres total with much of that being woods and fields. It is like a farmette that we don't farm. But we do rent out a field to a farmer for corn. Some time I'll take some pics for you.

Hi Angie, Becca, Wilma, Tricia and Kimmy!! Hope I didn't forget anyone. If I did it is just because my brain cells aren't what they used to be...

Hi Julie..... Isn't coaching fun? I just coached soccer for the first time during the spring. Iloved it! Some of my friends and family thought I was crazy, but once I got the hang of it, I had a great time. I am going to coach next spring too even if Kate decides she doesn't wnat to play

Scott and I had a long talk yesterday about the working situation. He is hopeful that someone will come along and buy the hospital. Lots of folks are already quiting and moving on though. Of course, if Scott stays and the hospital gets bought out, then he will be the one with the most seniority (is that spelled right?) He won't be there 2 years until January and would really wants to stay there at least that long if possible.

Thankfully , he has the new part time agency job, so even if the worst happens we should be able to make ends meet.....at least that is what we are praying for. When God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window......we just have to keep a lookout for it



It is raining here already, so I don't think there will be any fireworks tonight I don't like crowds and lots of traffic so in a way I am glad.........shhhhhh, don'ttell my family or I might get voted out

Hey Heather!
Yes, I love coaching. My husband and I have coached our son's AYSO soccer teams for the last 4 years. That is FUN!!! Soccer is such a great sport and the young kids are a blast!

This is my first foray into the high school level and with volleyball. I played a lot and really liked it. So far I really like it and the head coach is great.

Yeah, I don't mind if we miss the fireworks tonight. They are so much better at WDW, so I am spoiled I guess.

I think cleaning and laundry are on today's agenda...then to a friend's house for a picnic tonight. I think I'll start a load of now and then hopefully I'll get a nap in a while.

I hope you all had a great 4th. We went to our local fireworks display last night at the lakefront. I think they could take a lesson or two from Disney on how to put on a great show. It was rather dinky. We got home in time to see the fireworks on TV from Boston. Now that was truly a spectacular show.
