lol, I've done that too, but I'm glad you posted now ;). Thanks, we love them! The only thing is now I need to get my e-ring sized because it is a little too big but it's really obvious when I have the wedding band on. He was so excited, it was really cute :cutie:.

I know, I can't believe it! I'm so looking forward to the wedding and three weeks of no work! Unfortunately work is really crazy right now,
but in a way it makes the time go faster. ;)

Lol, I agree, you have some mighty fine rings yourself, probably the nicest I've ever seen ;). Great minds think alike. :) We can't wait to wear them for real.

I know, a month from today I won't be able to sleep because we'll be leaving for Disney in the morning!

Just realized I never posted pics of the Tears of Joy packets. They were pretty easy to make and I think they'll be cute at the ceremony. I made 50 because I figure not everyone will need one anyway.

I bought glassine envelopes on ebay. I bought tissue packets at walmart, it's $1 for three packets and I only needed six. I also found the monogram labels on clearance at Walmart so they were just $2.50.

I originally wanted labels that said "Tears of Joy, Tears of Laughter, Tears of Happily Ever After" but everywhere you could order from did not let you use that many letters. And I didn't want to spend $20 to buy a package of 500 labels at Staples to print myself. But you could definitely do that and it would look great.

Then I just added a little ribbon for color. So overall a very cheap project ;).

Here are the pics.

Another project that I've conned myself into doing is welcome bags. Since the demise of our fabulous slider party I realized we don't really have a way to communicate the transportation times to people and we should really do something for people traveling all that way. I thought about mailing the info but I know our guests would just leave it at home if they even read it at all.

So I ordered the bags and some mints. I got some folders and started on the newsletter to go in them. I bought labels for the "bear necessities" bags, so I'll have pictures of all those things sometime soon.

And our CD labels shipped so we should get them soon. Once we get them I'll post a pic and the list of songs. DF considers it his masterpiece.

aww so cute! I love them they came out great. Good luck on the welcome bags! I think thats another good project to do infront of the tv! looking forward to DF's masterpiece! :thumbsup2

The tears of joy packets are so cute! And they would go really nicely with my wedding haha I have that same ribbon that I am using for something… It is great that you got them at a reasonable price too, some of these things can get really pricey really quick. I look forward to the rest of your projects!

Great job on the "tears" packs! You are so good with DIY projects. I think it is best to try and give guests their info at WDW. I gave mine out before hand, and almost half of them forgot it at home :headache:

Thanks! I really wanted that other label, but it would have been expensive to get them printed and I couldn't get exactly what I wanted. Then I had to remind myself that people throw these things away . But overall I like the way they turned out. Thanks! My MOH doesn't know it yet but she's in charge of delivering them. It was fun shopping for them and they aren't bad to put together. Lol, well the wait is over, his masterpiece is coming up!

Thanks so much! Lol, well all you need is the glassine envelopes and some tissues ;). The hardest part was getting the tissues in the envelope! I really like that ribbon and I'm sure it'll look great on your projects too. Definitely, I don't even want to add it all up and think about what the "true cost" is :rotfl:.

Thanks! I am pretty crafty, but my problem is motivation. At least with the wedding I have a definitive timeline, lol, unlike my San Diego scrapbook from five years ago that I never finished, maybe after the wedding! I totally agree, I know our guests will either not read it or forget it at home. At least at Disney World when they don't read it, I can say, "hey read that thing in the folder!"

So today was pretty frustrating. My foot is still not healed from when I stepped on something a month ago. When I was on the steriods it was okay, but I've been off them for about two weeks and now it hurts and is swollen again. So I went to the doctor and basically he doesn't know what's wrong. He had me go get an x-ray, even though it won't show anything since it's not like I fell or anything, and then recommended I see a podiatrist. :confused3 I feel like it's just going to be a run around and they still won't have the answer. Right now I can't wear my wedding shoes since my foot is too swollen :sad2:. I'm really hoping it gets better before the wedding.

Anyway, onto some happier things... we got our CD labels and DF has already started burning them and assembling the favors. So here is a picture of the label. We ordered them from my own labels and I loved all the options they had. We got everything really quickly and they are perfect.

And the song list, we went with "love" songs that we like.

1) Tonight, Tonight – Smashing Pumpkins
2) Elephant Love Medley – Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor & Jamie Allen
3) Thank You – Led Zeppelin
4) She Is Love – Oasis
5) Delicate – Damien Rice
6) Somewhere Only We Know – Keane
7) Something In The Way She Moves – James Taylor
8) I Could Die For You – Red Hot Chili Peppers
9) Everlong (acoustic) – Foo Fighters
10) Just Like Heaven – The Cure
11) Echo – Incubus
12) Have You Seen Me Lately – Counting Crows
13) Patience – Guns N’ Roses
14) Walking After You – Foo Fighters
15) Hard to Concentrate – Red Hot Chili Peppers
16) Come What May – Nicole Kidman & Ewan McGregor
17) Anna Begins - Counting Crows
18) Tonite Reprise – Smashing Pumpkins
19) The Luckiest – Ben Folds (our first dance song)

We don't have many children coming to the wedding, but I picked up some things for my three younger cousins since I figure they won't really want a cd. The bubbles were only 50 cents at target and the laynards are from Michael's. I also have some other Disney stuff I bought a while ago, little coin purses and card games so I may make them a whole favor package.

And I did most of the shopping for the welcome bags and have them mostly assembled. Just waiting to get a few other things for the Bare Necessities bag and to finish the newsletter.

These are the bags, I made the tags with the cricut and printed labels with our guests name, resort, reservation number and arrival date. I got the bags from Oriental Trading and I'm very pleased with them. It was a lot of 50 so I have a ton extra but I figure we can always use them instead of plastic bags when we go shopping. You get 5 of each color and there are 10 colors. We used a different color for each resort so it'll be easy to see which bags go where. They are not canvas though, so I'm not sure if you could use iron-on transfers on them, and I did try to stamp one but it didn't work.

IMG_1182.jpg

Inside the bag there's a welcome folder which will have wedding info and tips. A note about photopass since I plan to preorder the cd and possibly a list of our favorite attractions / restaurants. Bare Necessities bag and of course some snacks: oreos, two types of chips, two rice krispy treats, Disney fruit gummy snacks, and cheese & crackers.
IMG_1186.jpg

I stamped the folder with a tinkerbell stamp, to add a little Disney touch.

Bare Necessities bag: I'm also going to add some advil packets and a shout wipe.

And we'll have some personalized mints and chapsticks. I ordered the mints from oriental trading and should get them soon.

I also ordered boxes for people to take treats from the dessert party if they want. They were really cheap at oriental trading and the size is perfect for what I want. They are not the sturdiest, but for the price they are good. They don't exactly match everything, but I figured people may not even take anything so at least this way they have the option but if they don't get used I won't be upset and I thought they were pretty cute.

And we're getting married in a month!

OK I might break down and buy a Cricut! :lmao:

Your DIY projects are beautiful! Can't wait to see it all come together in the end! Love the tears of joy packets and the CD is great, the songs in there are a bunch of DH's and mine favorites too!

I am still debating what to do for favors :confused3

I hope they can figure out what is wrong with your foot, I am worried it hasn't healed already after all this time, will keep my fingers crossed so it gets all better in time for your day.

Just caughtup and read your whole PJ. I love all your DIY items, you've inspired me to crack on and start some invite work now!

Everything looks spectacular! I love the idea for the tears of joy packets! Too cute!

I love the CD labels and your welcome bags! Your guests are going to love getting them! It was a great idea to get the boxes for the dessert party, they are really cute! Less than a month to go!

oh i love the cds! they came out great. DF did a very good job with the songs! the welcome bags look perfect. even if you can't get anything to print on the bags the little tags are very cute and I think give it plenty of themeing. the boxes for the dessert party are perfect! its a great idea because I have read a lot of people have so much left over and then they can't eat it all!

yay 1 month! thats so exciting

The CDs came out great. What a nice favor idea. I really enjoy looking at all your DIY projects. I wish I thought about boxes to take food from my DP-there was so much left over. I did not think you would be allowed.

I hope your foot feels better soon!

Everything looks awesome! Did you design the monagram? I really love it! Good Luck with the rest of your planning :yay:
