Hey girls, so today was my first fitting and I was really nervous about it, which is why I went by myself. When I had gone to try on my dress a few weeks ago it didn't fit!

I was so embarrassed and didn't tell anyone but DF, who was super sweet and said I would look like a princess no matter what. I was so upset and mad at myself since I ordered the wrong size. At the time I had been sick from getting my wisdom teeth out and didn't want to go to the shop. I figured I'd measured girls for wedding gowns before so I could measure myself...big mistake. In retrospect, I should have just waited a week and gone there. When they told me the size, I also thought it sounded too small, which should have tipped me off that I did something wrong. And of course, like all brides I thought I'd lose so much weight before the wedding that it wouldn't matter anyway!
But since there was nothing I could do now I just tried to just focus on eating really well in the meantime and the seamstress was going to let it out a little so it would be okay by the time I came for my first fitting, but I wasn't even sure if that would help much since the seams didn't have much to let out.
So today I bring the bra and slip and shoes and all that. And I put on the dress and they were able to completely lace it up but it was soooo uncomfortable and I was popping out of the top.

Not to mention the back was definitely not pretty, think muffin top. It was definitely not cute. At this point I'm thinking I need to go on that buff brides show or at the very least get a bolero to cover everything.
Well the seamstress asks me how the dress is fitting and I say much better than last time but the top is still too tight. Then she says I don't really need to wear the longline bra since the dress has built in support and she helps me take it out while keeping the dress pretty much laced up.
And it was a miracle, the dress fit perfectly after that!

And it was super comfortable! Almost like pajamas! I really couldn't believe the difference. We also decided the dress didn't need a slip. It has crinoline built in and is not supposed to be super full anyway, so one less layer.
After that the fitting was a breeze, she pinned the hem, it has to be taken up a little and she pinned the bustle. I'm doing a french with a lot of points, it looks gorgeous! I'm in love with my dress all over again.
Of course I didn't actually get any pictures since I was by myself and I left my cell phone at home

. So it won't be until my final fitting in the end of July that I'll be able to show you girls. I really didn't want to take it off though, I can't wait to see it in a month!
