Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

glad i'm back in chicago then! its 65 today! :rotfl: tho yesterday it was 85. crazy city.

Mine was very heavy too in fact the next day I felt like I was missing something because I didn't have so much weight on me! Let me know how it works out.

Netflix was my savior for projects. I watched SO many movies and tv shows. it made it much better.

Wow, that is a big jump, I'm glad it's at least consistently hot and gross here, lol, I get sick with drastic weather changes like that.

I definitely will. ;)

Oh, I may have to try that. My coworker is always pushing Netflix, like you would think she works for them or something, so she'd be thrilled if I joined.

So after working with DF's parents on it, we've finally nailed down a place for our rehearsal dinner.

And it's....
FultonsPhoto-Dusk-1.jpg

Fulton's! I'm so excited. DF and I loved it when we went in March during our PS trip.

The room we'll be in is the Lounge, which I think looks so elegant.

Dessert
Traditional Cheesecake - a crisp cookie crust with rich creamy cheese filling and a duo of raspberry and mango drizzle

... was just reading your dining report (excellent by the way) and saw your wedding link - I had no idea there was a thread for wedding reports!!!:cool1: :woohoo: I am so looking forward to reading this! Not sure how I am going to keep up, what with needing to spend time on Dis, home life including DD1 and that annoying thing called work!:)

Seriously though, congratulations on your engagement and wedding plans. I am so jealous of your disney wedding and can't wait to read all about it. I will live my only with a lottery win wedding dreams through you!! (I am married and loved my day but Disney is the ultimate!):cloud9:

Hope you are having loads of fun planning :woohoo:

Lisa

Fulton's looks like it will be a great choice for the rehearsal dinner. The room is so pretty.

Your rehearsal dinner looks like it will be fantastic! I have always wanted to go to Fultons...it just looks so great! The room is really pretty, and the menu sounds great, a very nice variety for people to choose from!

I have never been to Fulton's but heard it is great. We never get to go because DH is not a seafood or fish lover(and he is italian??:lmao:) Anyway, it looks like a great place for the rehearsal.

Sounds beautiful!

Thanks Claire! I think everyone will really enjoy it.

Aww thank you so much for your kind words and for reading my dining review and PJ! Lol, yes, once I discovered the wedding section it was all over, you wouldn't believe the amount of stuff I don't get done because of the Dis :lmao:

I really love the room, and there's an outdoor area too I think. We really liked the feel of the restaurant when we went in March.

Thanks! You should definitely go one day. It really is a great atmosphere. We liked that people could have shellfish since there won't be any at the wedding, so hopefully everyone likes the menu.

Does your DH like steak? We don't eat seafood at all, but the filet is probably one of the most amazing I have ever had, and DF and I eat a lot of steak. ;)

So here are a few DIY projects I've recently finished up. Two down, about a million more to go. :rotfl:

I made DF a Groom hat since the official ones don't fit on his head. I bought a set of plain ears at Disney and ordered the hat off ebay, it was $9.99 for a bride and Groom hat. I just saw at Michael's today that they had the groom hat for $8.99 so I probably would have used a coupon and done that instead, but oh well. Here's the finished product, DF thinks it's kinda silly but he really likes it and has been wearing it around the house sometimes.

I also did a few more of the sparkle shirts. Oh why did I agree to do these sparkle shirts? They take a really long time, but they do turn out nicely and I think the girls will really like them. I have three more to go.

And I have to eventually iron them on to the tanks I got from NY&Co.

I also got some glassine envelopes for the tears of joy packets, so once I get the rest of the supplies I'll start on those too.

And then that just leaves the table names, escort cards, programs, favors, welcome letters, votives... which all have to be done before we leave for Disney in a Month and a half!

It's so nice the "groom" will wear the hat with the mickey ears! Mine won't even wear just the hat!

great choice with Fultons! I haven't eaten there but DH and I walked through looking for his dad who did...it's really nice in there! That room looks so pretty...your guests are going to love it. I really like that it's at Downtown Disney too. It will give them another aspect of Disney!

The DIY stuff looks great. Nice idea with the hat! I'm sure you'll finish the other stuff with time to spare :goodvibes

He loves steak. I tell him all the time he could order a steak, but he always says that it's not the same as a steakhouse and that I can get a decent lobster at a steakhouse whereas steaks are not as good at seafood restaraunts. :( I will get him in there one day though! :lmao:[/QUOTE]

Aw, well I don't think my DF would if it were anywhere but Disney, but he loves the extra attention of wearing buttons and things like that. He says its like being a celebrity.

Thanks Wendy! I know, I was really surprised the first time we went there, I was kinda like, wait, why haven't we been here before? But I think it's because it's not on the Dining Plan. I agree, and we figure it'll be easy for everyone to get to. DF wants to go to some of the bars afterwards, and I'm like, hello, we sorta have a wedding the next day!

Thanks! I've seen a few girls make them, and the real ones didn't fit him at all. I hope so, I just gotta get my butt in gear, I'm such a procrastinator ;)

OMG, then you have to go! It was seriously one of the best steaks we've had. Easily as good as or possibly even better than Morton's or Peter Luger's. They had a whole schpeel, but it's dry aged for a long time and stuff which makes it super tasty. ;)

Hey girls, so today was my first fitting and I was really nervous about it, which is why I went by myself. When I had gone to try on my dress a few weeks ago it didn't fit! I was so embarrassed and didn't tell anyone but DF, who was super sweet and said I would look like a princess no matter what. I was so upset and mad at myself since I ordered the wrong size. At the time I had been sick from getting my wisdom teeth out and didn't want to go to the shop. I figured I'd measured girls for wedding gowns before so I could measure myself...big mistake. In retrospect, I should have just waited a week and gone there. When they told me the size, I also thought it sounded too small, which should have tipped me off that I did something wrong. And of course, like all brides I thought I'd lose so much weight before the wedding that it wouldn't matter anyway!

But since there was nothing I could do now I just tried to just focus on eating really well in the meantime and the seamstress was going to let it out a little so it would be okay by the time I came for my first fitting, but I wasn't even sure if that would help much since the seams didn't have much to let out.

So today I bring the bra and slip and shoes and all that. And I put on the dress and they were able to completely lace it up but it was soooo uncomfortable and I was popping out of the top. :confused3 Not to mention the back was definitely not pretty, think muffin top. It was definitely not cute. At this point I'm thinking I need to go on that buff brides show or at the very least get a bolero to cover everything.

Well the seamstress asks me how the dress is fitting and I say much better than last time but the top is still too tight. Then she says I don't really need to wear the longline bra since the dress has built in support and she helps me take it out while keeping the dress pretty much laced up.

And it was a miracle, the dress fit perfectly after that! :goodvibes And it was super comfortable! Almost like pajamas! I really couldn't believe the difference. We also decided the dress didn't need a slip. It has crinoline built in and is not supposed to be super full anyway, so one less layer.

After that the fitting was a breeze, she pinned the hem, it has to be taken up a little and she pinned the bustle. I'm doing a french with a lot of points, it looks gorgeous! I'm in love with my dress all over again. :lovestruc

Of course I didn't actually get any pictures since I was by myself and I left my cell phone at home :sad2:. So it won't be until my final fitting in the end of July that I'll be able to show you girls. I really didn't want to take it off though, I can't wait to see it in a month! :bride:

I'm happy everything worked out in the end with the dress! I had the opposite problem, I wasn't planning on wearing a bra (because of the built in support) but it was too big, and when I added a push up, it was perfect! It is amazing how much a bra can change your size in the dress!

The hat and shirt look really cute! :goodvibes

wow. i'm glad everything worked out! I am the same way I would have kept it to myself. I can't wait to see pictures! so make sure you drag someone with you next time. yay one less layer, that will probably make a huge difference.

I will be telling DH about the steaks at Fultons and say the recommendation came from a NY'er (he might believe it more-:rotfl:)

I am glad that everything worked out with your dress. Thank g-d for cups!! :lmao: I had cups, bra and chicken cutlets but i am very small on top. hehehe

The cap for DF is so adorable. You are very creative.

I am happy to hear that the dress worked out for you. That could be such a stressful situation, and it really is crazy how much of a difference a bra can make!
