You are going to look stunning on your wedding day!! Your dress is amazing!

Your countdown is so close now. Hope everything is going to plan and that you don't have any nerves yet (they may hit a day or two before but then go on the day).

Lots of well wishes and pixie dust for the last few weeks :tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker:

Your dress looks beautiful on you! And good to hear that your foot is getting better, those shoes are really cute and you need to be able to wear them!

Sara-Your dress looks beautiful on you. Very flattering. I love your veil, the crystals will pick up nicely with your dress. I am glad you are able to wear the shoes and that your foot is feeling better. They are very pretty. OMG so excited for you that you are only 2 weeks away!!

wow you look amazing!!! You must be so excited!!! :woohoo::yay::banana:

Only a couple weeks left....soon you'll be in the single digit countdown!

yay! You look so so pretty hun! it fits you great. I'm so happy everything went well and you can wear your shoes! (i love them btw) before you know it you will be wearing it on your big day! :)

Thanks Jenn! I'm so glad too, I really love those shoes, and my foot is much better and not all weird and discolored anymore. Although I dropped a binder on my foot at work the other day so now I have a small black and blue . Now I have to start breaking them in.

Excellent news abut your foot. You look so pretty.

Thanks Claire! I can't wait to wear my dress for real!

You look gorgeous! Love the dress and the shoes. :goodvibes

Thanks so much! It was great to see everything together, I was a little nervous the accessories wouldn't all go, but they were perfect. :goodvibes

Thanks Lisa! No wedding nerves, more like DIY nerves :rotfl: I still have so much to do, but this weekend we are going to finish them all, one way or another! I can't believe a week from today we'll be in Disney!

Your dress looks beautiful on you! And good to hear that your foot is getting better, those shoes are really cute and you need to be able to wear them!

Thank you! I am so relieved it's doing better, I love those shoes so much and they are so pretty with the dress. :lovestruc

Thanks Stephie! The veil was so sparkly in person, I may definitely wear it for longer than the ceremony, and I never thought I was a veil person. Only 1 week now, I can't wait!

Thanks Wendy! I can't believe that it's almost here! Next Saturday we'll be in Disney!

The dress looks so great! You must be getting so excited that it is coming up so soon!

Thanks Karen! I love it so much. I just picked it up yesterday. I'm so excited and can't believe it's almost time!

Hey Everyone! We one week left until we go to Disney!

I'm so excited but still have a million things to do, but I'm determined to finish all the DIY stuff this weekend, so let's see if that happens .

I picked up my dress yesterday, it was so weird to be walking out of the store with it. Right now it's in my closet and if I didn't need help putting it on, it would totally be like that episode of Friends where they wear wedding dresses the whole time

Now I have to figure out if I'm going to ship it or not. The seamstress had me all worried, but it's such a hassle to carry it. I think I'm going to see if I can cram it in my carryon and if not, then I definitely have to ship it.

Catching up! Catching up!
You look amazing in your dress :worship: just love it!!!
So happy your foot is doing so much better.

Eeeeee!!! I can't believe it is just one week to Disney! I am so excited for you! You can finish all your DYI no problem, I am sure.

I love the wedding presents and having three cats is a bit crazy, we have a very strict rule of just 2 pets at a time, but our incredibly sweet elderly downstairs neighbor passed away over a year ago and she left behind two cats. Her family couldn't take both so we broke our self-imposed rule and took in one more cat.

So far so good! We have been very lucky they are get along great, don't destroy furniture and behave perfectly. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear all about your amazing day, I know it is going to be beautiful and perfect!

Awww i'm not even a cat person and I think those two are adorable!

You are getting so close!!!!! I totally understand the dress situation, I'm actually hoping to have my dress altered in early September so I can drop it off with my parents who are driving so I don't have to take it on the plane. 7 layers of dress is just too heavy lol

SO EXCITED FOR YOU

AWWWW!! Those kitties are so adorable :goodvibes We have 3 right now too, and we love it, although it does get a little crazy when they get hungry :rotfl: That is such a cute wedding gift!

hey hun! wow a week away?!?! thats so crazy! how did all your projects go this weekend? I hope well. Steph recommended that I get a box that is the size of the max carry on and get one of those wooden handles and carry it on that way. Also you can call your airline and they sometimes will hang it up for you?! I haven't done this yet but its worth a shot.

your kittens are soooo cute. I really want to convince DH to get another one but i have gotten a big NO. hahaha.

PS Your dress looks AMAZING on you :) Can't wait to see it the day of. Is it sad that I saw your post and just now realized just how close you are actually getting!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: So excited for you! I can't wait to see how everything goes!

Very cute kittens!

Hope you have managed to get your last bits done over the weekend and are enjoying your last few days before you leave.

Hope everything is perfect for you and can't wait for the pictures and updates when you return and have some spare time!! (Bet you have forgotten what that is like!)

Lots of happy thoughts and well wishing coming you're way

I was reading through your PJ and you have some wonderful plans. I saw that you tasted the Jiko steak. We wanted that, but my DF is concerned that it won't taste like the real Jikos steak. Do you mind me asking, how much did they charge you for the steak, to put it on your menu? Thanks

Just realized I never posted pics of the Tears of Joy packets. They were pretty easy to make and I think they'll be cute at the ceremony. I made 50 because I figure not everyone will need one anyway.

I bought glassine envelopes on ebay. I bought tissue packets at walmart, it's $1 for three packets and I only needed six. I also found the monogram labels on clearance at Walmart so they were just $2.50.

I originally wanted labels that said "Tears of Joy, Tears of Laughter, Tears of Happily Ever After" but everywhere you could order from did not let you use that many letters. And I didn't want to spend $20 to buy a package of 500 labels at Staples to print myself. But you could definitely do that and it would look great.

Then I just added a little ribbon for color. So overall a very cheap project ;).

Here are the pics.

Another project that I've conned myself into doing is welcome bags. Since the demise of our fabulous slider party I realized we don't really have a way to communicate the transportation times to people and we should really do something for people traveling all that way. I thought about mailing the info but I know our guests would just leave it at home if they even read it at all.

So I ordered the bags and some mints. I got some folders and started on the newsletter to go in them. I bought labels for the "bear necessities" bags, so I'll have pictures of all those things sometime soon.

And our CD labels shipped so we should get them soon. Once we get them I'll post a pic and the list of songs. DF considers it his masterpiece.
These packets are so cute! Do you know what size envelope you used? Thanks

Thanks so much! I was really worried for a while there, but it all seems to be working out. ;) I can't believe that I only have one week left to go!

Oh good to know that you love having three cats, I'm a little nervous but I think they will actually keep each other out of trouble.

Awww i'm not even a cat person and I think those two are adorable!

Aww, thanks! We just couldn't choose. It turns out my dress does fit in my carryon, so I'm just going to do that, and it has wheels. ;)

You must be so excited. Cute kittens.

Thanks Claire! I'm so excited, I can't wait.

Thanks Karen, yay, more three cat people. You guys are definitely setting mind at ease. So many people were like, three that is crazy, but it's not really that many more. Lol, I bet it will be crazy when they are all running around the house, even with just one it's a little crazy! DF has been begging me for another cat, but I would always say when we have a house...who knew that would come before the wedding! And the more we thought about it, there was nothing we really wanted or needed, so cats it was.

I know, can you believe it? I remember when all of our weddings seemed so far away. I managed to cram the dress in my carryon, which will be good because I can just roll that sucker through the airport. Thanks! I get so nervous that she'll accidentally give ours away to someone else! But I'm sure that won't really happen. Aw, DF's sister is trying to convince her DH to let them get two but he says no too. I'm lucky in that I think my DF loves cats more than I do! But maybe if he saw an adorable little kitten he'd change his mind? Or you can always put it on the doorstep and say it "followed you" home.

PS Your dress looks AMAZING on you :) Can't wait to see it the day of. Is it sad that I saw your post and just now realized just how close you are actually getting!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: So excited for you! I can't wait to see how everything goes!

Thanks so much! I did put it on for a few minutes at home, but I can't really lace it up by myself, but it was still fun. I will definitely post all the details, I really can't believe it's almost here!

Very cute kittens!

Thanks Lisa! Lol, well didn't quite get it all done over the weekend, but I'm in a much better place with all of it now, lol. Although I've come to the conclusion it's much better to pay people to do things for you :lmao:! Lol, yeah sometimes I'm really looking forward to having more spare time, but it's a little sad in a way too. Although DF did say the other day how he hopes to one day buy DVC, so that would mean many more Disney trips to plan and look forward to. :lovestruc

Thanks so much! We did taste it, and although it was like a year since we had Jiko's version, the GF one was really good and tasted just like it. My DF thought that the red wine sauce was right on. The mac and cheese did taste a little different but was very good. I think unless you have a plate of each, you wouldn't really notice much of a difference. I'm really looking forward to eating it in a week. :goodvibes No problem, it is $77 per person, that is with the caesar salad for an appetizer.

Thanks! The envelopes are size 3 which is like 2.5" x 4.25", just enough for two tissues. ;)

Hey everyone,

We get married in a week! I can't believe we leave for Disney this Saturday! Just trying to wrap up everything but thought I would post pics of some of my projects.

I finished all the sparkle shirts, they were a ton of work, but it was worth it in the end. They were even more sparkly once I ironed the design on. Here are some pictures of the finished product:

I also wanted to do a super cute decal for my shoe, so I made a little Mickey head and wrote "I do" underneath it, but sadly the glue would not stick to the sole of my shoe...so I ironed it on the hanky instead. It really jazzed up that hanky which I bought for like $3 at Michael's. So for my "something blue":

My ring pillow came, I'm not really thrilled with it. I thought the flower would be bigger and in person it's kind of lumpy and the stitching is a little off on the edges. It looks like I made it myself, but not really in a good way. But there's no time to do anything else now and it looks good enough in pictures.

I haven't gotten my cake topper yet, but it'll be here by Thursday. I can't wait though, I really love it! It is even better than I imagined.

Here is a finished program. Man are these a pain to do! Well I guess it wouldn't have been so bad if I did a little bit at a time, but it was no fun trying to print, cut, and assemble 50 programs. It takes a loooong time to cut each one. I finally have them all assembled but need to add ribbons to most of them...we'll see if I really get to that or not.

Here they are:

In person the wording is not really completely centered, but I was too lazy to play around with it more. I also realized that I had spelt my MOH's last name wrong. But I had already spent hours doing this and don't have supplies left anyway to redo them. I'm sure she'll be fine with it. I did print her one that has it right.

And the escort cards. These are almost done, I have four left, but they were pretty quick to do, after the printing and embossing that is. The ribbon is different based on meal choice and the icon is which table they are at.
IMG_1323.jpg

I also found that my dress does fit in my carryon, so I'll be cramming it in there. I have my steaming all set with CA's. And they will come at noon, so I can still have my breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, I thought they had to come at 10 am which would have meant canceling and just ordering room service.

I can't believe it's almost here!

I love all of your DIY projects! I really wanted to make myself some of those iron-on t-shirts, but I just don't have time! Yours turned out great though. It is so much work to make your own fans, and escort cards and such, but it is worth it in the end - everything looks great! And you are getting married in a week!! So close now!

Everything looks awesome! I get so nervous seeing how well everyone's DIY projects come out because I don't know if mine will ever look as good! I really like the esccort cards and the shirts you made. I can't wait to see it all come together.

PS, we also just got our third cat too. You're not alone! I get called a cat lady allllll the time :lmao:
