Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

I'm happy everything worked out in the end with the dress! I had the opposite problem, I wasn't planning on wearing a bra (because of the built in support) but it was too big, and when I added a push up, it was perfect! It is amazing how much a bra can change your size in the dress!

The hat and shirt look really cute! :goodvibes

I know, me too! I didn't know what I would do otherwise. It really is, I wish I had gotten pictures because it was crazy how different it was. I'd say I'd do it at my next fitting, but really no one should be subjected to that .

Thanks! Now I just have to finish the other ones. :)

wow. i'm glad everything worked out! I am the same way I would have kept it to myself. I can't wait to see pictures! so make sure you drag someone with you next time. yay one less layer, that will probably make a huge difference.

I was so scared yesterday, and the medicines that they put me on for my foot cause weight gain - but luckily I've lost a little anyway - so I was even more worried these past few weeks. Don't worry, my MOH has to come next time and I'll make sure there are lots of pics. ;) And I'll even remember accessories then too and hopefully my veil will finally be here by then. I'm definitely glad about the slip, I was worried I'd be way too hot, now at least it should be manageable, I hope .

I will be telling DH about the steaks at Fultons and say the recommendation came from a NY'er (he might believe it more-:rotfl:)

I am glad that everything worked out with your dress. Thank g-d for cups!! :lmao: I had cups, bra and chicken cutlets but i am very small on top. hehehe

The cap for DF is so adorable. You are very creative.

Yes! Tell him that we are real NY'ers that eat at a lot of steakhouses. Steak is my DF's favorite thing and he is picky too. ;)

I was so relieved, it felt like a wedding dress miracle! I agree, it's going to be so much more comfortable, although now I'm concerned about possible a "wardrobe malfunction"

That's great news on the dress, can't wait to see you in it.

Thanks Claire, I was so happy yesterday. I'll definitely take lots of pics at my next fitting!

I am happy to hear that the dress worked out for you. That could be such a stressful situation, and it really is crazy how much of a difference a bra can make!

Thank you, I was so worried about it, but so lucky it all worked out in the end. I really couldn't believe it. When she suggested it I thought okay, it might be a little better but I was really amazed, the whole dress fit differently after that.

that's fantastic that the dress fits!! :goodvibes

Thanks Wendy! It was a huge weight off my shoulders! I didn't even want to take it off yesterday but she had another fitting right after me. :bride:

:cutie:

I am so happy for you! It's always a HUGE relief when things work out--especially your dress fitting!!!

All caught up now.

So happy you got your house, your PS went well and that everything is coming together. It is all a lot of hard work but so worth it in the end. :)

Love the sound of your menu, the guestbook, all the plans, everything! :woohoo: I am having so much fun reading and can't wait for the next part!

My heart dropped when I started reading your dress post but was so happy that it turned out ok. Can't wait to see the pics.

Pixie dust :tinker: pixie dust :tinker: pixie dust :tinker: being sprinkled now to keep your plans going well :tinker: (and another for luck!)

Thank you, I was so relieved! Although now that the dress stress is gone, DF has been a very bad influence in the food dept , and he's like, but the dress fits right? And I say yeah, but not if I keep eating like this! :lmao: But it's nice to not have to be so strict with what I eat either. ;)

Lol, that is dedication! I know there are a tons of pages, thanks so much for reading!. :goodvibes Thank you, we're pretty much all settled in now and we really love it. DF loves owning our own home and even though it is a lot more work, it's nice when something is yours. Our cat Max also loves it since there is so much room for him to run around. We've taken a little break on doing much to the house until after the wedding since now we have to finish up all the wedding projects. ;)

I'm so excited about the food at the wedding! I definitely plan to eat. :) Thank you so much. I'm so excited to see how everything comes together, we have less than a month and a half to go! I'm glad you're enjoying reading, I love reading all the PJ's too. :cutie:

I was so relieved, I really didn't know what I would do otherwise. I was so glad when everything turned out okay and I'll be sure to take lots of pics at my next fitting, I'll have my MOH with me and I'll bring my camera! It's July 30th so just a few weeks to go and work is going to be so busy until then that I'm sure it will fly by.

You're so sweet! Thank you for all the pixie dust! :goodvibes We need all the luck we can get, especially for good weather! :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. :goodvibes

This weekend I was determined to get some of those pesky DIY projects done. So I broke out the cricut and got to work.

I cut out all the little icons for the escort cards so those are ready to go. I was initially going to do silhouttes but some of the shapes let a little to be desired. I discovered by accident if I didn't put any settings on the cricut it actually cuts the shape and does all the detail lines too. So all of the little icons have those and I think it really helps so you can tell what it is. ;) I didn't take any pictures of the little shapes, so you'll have to wait until I actually do the escort cards.

I also made the table names. When I realized Disney was going to charge me $10 a piece to rent a stand, I figured I could just get nice frames for less than that and we at least get to keep them or we can give them away at the wedding. I found some at Micheal's that I liked and with coupons they were around $7 each, so I even saved some money. Here are pictures of the table names, we did Disney movies. We basically did the movies that were on the cricut cartridge , so we have Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Mulan, Pocahontas and Aladdin.

I'm not really thrilled with the plain white paper, I think it would look better on pearlescent paper, but I didn't have any. I may end up redoing them, but I don't think anyone else will really care so just depends on how crazy I want to be.

I also worked on our programs a little since I got the fan sticks. We still haven't figured out ceremony music so I have to wait on making them, but here's the draft. It won't have that weird shading, those are just guidelines from my template. I have to play around with it some more since some of the words get cut off.

And in case anyone was interested, you can do coach fans with the cricut!
IMG_1151.jpg
IMG_1152.jpg

But they come out slightly smaller than the Mickey heads and I'm having trouble fitting everything as it is. It could also be cute for menu cards.

Still have to figure out what I want to do with the votives and find out if Disney will let me have real candles. I can't have real candles on the centerpieces which is kind of annoying so I'll have to discuss that with Lee.

I also finished the Tears or Joy packets. I forgot to take a pic, but they do look cute and it was a really cheap project.

DF is also mostly finished with the CD song list, for the favors so I can order those labels sometime this week.

Sara, love the table cards/frames and the fan template looks great!:goodvibes very well done!

Thanks! :goodvibes I really love the frames, I'm trying to decide if we give them out at the wedding or take them home and keep a few and give some to the Bridal party... we'll see. The formatting of the fans is a little tricky but the cricut does all the hard stuff ;), and doesn't take that long to cut big shapes. When I was cutting the little icons and it was doing all the detail it took forever!

Your projects look amazing! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I absolutely love your table cards - but that could be because mine will be somewhat similar lol You got a great deal making them yourself, and they look great! The cricut is a god send! I love mine, but I would like to get the expression to do bigger projects - it looks like that is the one you have.

yay projects! The table numbers came out great! You are using the same frame i used for our memorial photo. its such a pretty frame. I love the tiny lines of detail in the figures it really does add something. I don't think the white paper looks bad at all.

yay mickey fans! too cute. can't wait to see them done!

Why can't you have real candles? that seems silly.

Post the cd songs when your DF is done! I wanna see.

wow great job with the table names!! I love that you used the Disney princesses and had their silhouettes. They turned out really nice! I think you're off to a fantastic start with you DIY projects...can't wait to see them all put together. You're almost at a month left! :woohoo::goodvibes:cool1:

Happy Lazy Sunday everyone! :goodvibes

We finally have the second week of our honeymoon booked and I've started researching things for that and getting really excited.

We're using my parent's timeshare and my mom had a few searches out for different islands but nothing was coming up. So she called them and they did have an opening for that week in Kona, Big Island, so we decided to take it.

We're going to be staying at they Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort. The resort looks really cute and kinda rustic. We'll have a full kitchen and washer/dryer and it will be nice to be able to make a few meals ourselves. Plus it will give the chance to experience my favorite store... Costco ... in Hawaii! :lmao:

Kona -
1) Manta Ray Night Snorkel
2) Mauna Kea Summit Adventures - this looks really cool. Mauna Kea is the highest Mountain in the world (some of it is below sea level). So this tour takes you to the top and you get to see the sunset and stargaze. I can't really describe it very well, but here are some pictures.

Just started reading your PJ... I love all your ideas!

I just wanted to say that Kona is by far my favorite island. I wanted to give y'all a few tips...Kona Grill has AMAZING breakfast. Their pancakes and waffles are HUGE. Another favorite thing of mine is hitting up their local market... great for local fruit, flowers & gifts. Snorkel at Kahalu'u Beach Park... best place to see sea turtles and millions of different kinds of fish! Also go to a luau, both islands have great shows! Hope you have a great honeymoon. && by the way Mauna Kea is wonderful.

Wow! The table cards and frames look awesome! That is a good idea to do your own, and actually get to keep them, than paying more just to rent them! That seems crazy that it costs more to rent!

Everything looks great so far. The frames are very cute with the names of the movies and can't wait to see the fans when they are finished.

Excellent work, i'm not crafty at all, I don't even know what a cricut is :confused3

Thanks so much! I love the cricut! I do have the expression and I can definitely see how for bigger projects you'd want the 12x12 mat. For most of the wedding stuff the paper is 8.5x11 anyway, but it is a little annoying to have to keep reloading. ;)

Thanks! I really liked the frame, I had wanted a different one at first but they didn't have enough, but I really love these ones now and the little sparkles around the edges. Yeah, I never even thought about the lines, it was by accident that I discovered it, since I'm not very cricut savvy yet, but I like it much better. And since other people aren't as big Disney fans as we are, I didn't want them being like "what is this supposed to be?" :confused3
The white paper has grown on me, I think it would be perfect with the pearlescent paper....but I think in the room with the lights low it won't really make a difference....must not drive myself crazy over insignificant things:rolleyes:. Apparently I can have real votives, but only 4 per table. I'm not sure, the candle rules are so silly to me. And the ones on the centerpiece are just like votives, just in the centerpiece, so not sure why I can't have them. I think people would be more likely to knock over a votive on the table then knock over the centerpiece, but those are Disney's rules :rolleyes1

Thanks Wendy! It really just worked out since that's what the cricut cartridge had, lol. I'm really happy with how they turned out though. I know, I can't believe it, we're like 5 weeks away now!

Thanks for reading, and thanks for all the tips. I haven't come across that many people that have gone to the big island, so it's nice to hear that you love it best :goodvibes. We'll definitely have to go to Kona Grill. We're going to rent a car so getting around shouldn't be a problem. We're so excited for the Honeymoon!

Thanks so much, I really like the frames and figure at least now we can keep them or give them away. Yeah I couldn't believe they were going to charge $10 each for a little tiny stand. I mean, don't they own this stuff? The whole rental item thing really gets me.

Everything looks great so far. The frames are very cute with the names of the movies and can't wait to see the fans when they are finished.

Thanks Stephie! I still have formatting to do, and we have to pick the ceremony music, but then I can finally finish them. :)

Excellent work, i'm not crafty at all, I don't even know what a cricut is :confused3

Thanks Claire! The cricut really did all the work. It's a paper cutting machine. You put a cartridge in and it cuts out the shapes. It's really cool.

We finally got our wedding rings! And DF was so excited yesterday that when he came home he was like "let's go out to dinner and wear our wedding rings!" So we did and that was really fun. :goodvibes

Here they are, mine matches my engagement ring band:

Thanks Marissa! We really love them and can't wait to really get to wear them! :goodvibes Lol, yes the DIY are coming along, but there's still so much to do, and I keep adding more . We are so excited, can't believe it's coming up so soon! The time really does fly! :cutie:
