You can, but it takes you out of your running flow. You have to slow down to turn.Just a thought but when you reach the stairs can’t you just make a U turn and go back the other way and thus avoid going up the stairs?
I think the designers got the assignment: Just make it different from the other four ships. This ship seems really poorly designed overall. What happened?
I'd welcome these stairs on the track, personally, because I usually walk/run somewhat hilly terrain at home, and a flat walk/run doesn't do much for me. However, it's a giant middle finger to people who can't do stairs (like many elderly people and people with limited mobility). What is the reason for this deck to be this way? What is preventing a complete loop on one deck?
The short answer is no. It leads to doors that looked like you shouldn't open, but it didn't say that. That was after I opened a plain door on deck 5 in the front (before I tried the stairs to deck 6) and I was in a dark room that looked like a bar. (I'll have to study the deck plan to see what that was.)But what's the aft connection on deck 4 between port and starboard? Nobody ever posts the back of the loop. Does it actually connect without going inside?
No one is trying to run or power walk between the decks indoors. There are elevators indoors for people who can't do stairs. This walking/jogging track is not accessible, and that is a problem for a lot of people. So, these stairs are a problem but the ones between decks aren't?

No, but those of us that run don’t incorporate running up or down stairs every quarter mile into our daily runs. I personally think running down stairs is dangerous. Anybody that runs everyday has probably fallen before. All your weight goes forward it’s very hard to stop yourself.Sorry, but reading the posts above leads me to think people are concerned about stairs period.
These decks are also often wet. It's a bad combination, I agree. No, but those of us that run don’t incorporate running up or down stairs every quarter mile into our daily runs. I'm not seeing that at all. The title of the thread is specifically in reference to running/walking stairs on the Wish jogging track, and every reply is also specific to that scenario.Sorry, but reading the posts above leads me to think people are concerned about stairs period.
Just looked at your link and see it labeled as “shipside promenade” on the Wish. Other ships says walking/jogging though.I was going to ask this same question. I went and looked the deck plans on their website. It is definitely labeled as a "walking/jogging track"
