Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Many of them probably legitimately don't know.

Phone CMs aren't the best-informed, and even most parks/resorts CMs haven't really been told much related to ROL yet, so unless they've been digging through the Hub for information, they probably don't know much.
Okay. Wasn't sure.

Just called and my CM didn't know much. She knew it was coming...."any day now", she said. She didn't know what meals, either. She just said they had not been given anymore info than "any day now" and that the blogs always had more info than them! Lol

Oh well. I'll try to book at 6am all this week online. And if not, either I'll call or ask my TA to.

How would the Dining Package work for Flame Tree BBQ? How do you reserve Counter Service?

On the HUB it looks like the first available day for the dinner package is April 22nd. There's no price change between this and the regular buffet dinner. If interested I would start calling today and asking if it's opened for booking.
They might just be finalizing all the details.
Adult: $44.73, Child: $26.63 including tax but not gratuity
Maybe they are just trying to fill the early dinner void by having you dine 2.5 hours before the 1st show? The first time available looks to be 4 pm

I so hope this info is right! my fingers are crossed that we see info on the Disney site soon--and my eyes are glued on this thread!

Should I change the title of this thread to something more general, such as Rivers of Light dining package (taking off the android app part) since it has evolved into more than what it initially was? Or does it even matter?

That's probably a good idea since there are several other ROL threads going...folks would know this is about the dining package

Just add the word "UPDATED" to end of the title.

CMs are not allowed to discuss certain topics until they become public. It may be that the CM is under a "do not discuss" rule. Calling to gain some advance knowledge could put the CM's employment at risk.

It might not be counter service in that case.

If this really opens for ADRs tomorrow, like many have said, where are the menus? Where are the official details? I'm skeptical.

Minnie's holiday dine happened much in the same way as this lol.

Who owns Yak&Yeti?

Landry's, Inc.
Same folks that own Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex Cafe.

And... McCormick and Smicks Seafood & Steaks found at several cities around the country.

At Disneyland, you can do a QS Fantasmic dining package at Aladins Oasis. You get a "reservation" of sorts. I believe we had a time frame where we could go pick up our "to-go" meal. It was a boxed meal and you were given a ticket to Fantasmic. This may be what they do for FT.
The area you were given at Fantasmic was not as good as where the TS dining packages were though. Basically the QS package was in area with the people that had fast passes for it. Not sure if this will be the case at ROL.

Looking at the price, it certainly would not be worth it for us if that's the case. We'd probably just do Tusker House, unless that does become 2-credit with the package, as has been rumored.

ooh, that would be wonderful...get it to go.

** just re-read , not worth it for worse seats and price the same **
We would do Tusker House if we can get in and just wave the characters by since it's just DH and I this trip

There were details posted on another thread and they looked official but that doesn't really mean much. So it's all speculation at this point.

The viewing at ROL looks pretty small. Are there areas where the viewing won't be too great?

If prices listed in the other thread for FTBBQ are correct it doesn't look like a bad deal.
