Rumored Black Friday VGF2 Sales

I asked my sales rep regarding any deals coming up and she said there were promotions on several locations including Boardwalk, AK and Alani but not at Beach Club where I own. She stated the following:
"We do not currently have a promotion on Beach Club and are not selling the Grand Floridian yet but look forward to sharing more on that as it gets closer!"

Of course they are not going to give out any info before hand BUT I agree with Sandisw that if the legal paperwork has not been put in place to sell GFV2 yet, it won't happen.

But Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Hope you all have a joyful day of family and eating.

Is there a url to check for paperwork?

if There was to be a flash sale Friday I would have expected all kinds of marketing.

Have they even started construction? I kind of doubt sales will open up if the project is nowhere near finished.

No. Sales can not begin until things are declared. That has not happened. This thread is humor folks!!!

It's going to be the greatest sale ever... really, really great....really tremendous!
Everyone agrees, believe me.

People are starting to head towards the DVC kiosks already:

90 minutes to VGF2!

I started hitting 'refresh" yesterday morning, after syncing every clock in my house and all my cars to the nuclear clock at the US Naval Observatory. I've got IV fluids and a box of depends at the ready.
web site locking up..... phone lines already going to "constant busy"... here we go again

I hope everyone got through and bought 4,000 points today. The CM I spoke with they expect it to sold out before Sunday November 26 of 2023. Seriously, VGF2 most likely will be for sale early next year folks. Probably February or March.

I passed out at 3 am, spilled my OKW coffee mug full of Joffrey's onto my laptop and knocked my tablet off the table, so I was sidelined and missed out. The Depends came in handy though...

Still unclear which GF building are they converting to DVC? I understand they will only be studios like the Poly.

It is Big Pine Key. If you are facing the quiet pool, it’s to the right, with the lake to the right of it.

Here is a cropped map. And to DCLPluto it is cheaper for them to convert an existing resort than build another with rooms larger than studios. Although at $700+ a night, cannot understand why they are doing this unless they are having occupancy issues.
Personally Boca Chica is more attractive from a view standpoint. I would have bought into Poly if they were not just studios. I got spoiled by the 1BRs although I was told by member services studios are the most popular to DVC members.

I think it is 2 fold. They are having some occupancy issues like they did at Poly and Wilderness Lodge. 2nd is they know VGF would sell pretty fast and give a huge cash flow for them. Depending on price per point you’re looking probably close to $1,000,000,000 in sales. It will probably sell out in less than 2 years and refurbishment costs are minor, since they are staying the same layout as a hotel room.

Occupancy issues next to the busiest theme park in the world = terrible hotel operators. It also may signal too much divisiveness and lack of cohesion between divisions to not help leverage each other. Over pricing too with underwhelming facilities. I don't really know but that fact is both laughable and sad. :sad2:
