February sales favorite week news-

Copper Creek- Disney sold one Fixed Week deed for Copper Creek. Unreported on how many total favorite weeks have been sold in the past.

Riviera- One Fixed Week deed was sold in February. So far, the resort has sold 152 Fixed Week deeds. At least one Fixed Week deed has been sold for 32 of the 52 weeks. Only four Fixed Week deeds have been sold for the 16 weeks from mid-May to late August.

Cabins at Fort Wilderness- no fixed weeks have been sold recently. Twenty-five Fixed Week deeds have been sold for the resort in total. Week #43, which has nine deeds sold, is the most popular week.

Polynesian- In February, four Fixed Week deeds were sold for accommodations at Island Tower, including one buyer who bought back-to-back Weeks #51 and #52 for a one-bedroom with a theme park view. Disney has sold 43 Fixed Week deeds for Island Tower.

Surprised only one favorite week was sold for Copper Creek! I was tempted to get in on this for a favorite week contract if it was available.

Only 1 is very surprising for CCV, then again it's surprising that in total only 43 FWs have been sold for Poly tower. One of the February ones was probably mine

Does anyone know if they sell fixed weeks for sold out resorts that aren't brought back temporarily on sale? Say for example can you buy a FW from VGF right now? Or is it only during active sales and during short term promos like the recent CCV one?

I think I remember someone saying CCV FW was stopped at one point even when you could still buy it but not on a promo. Im sure someone with more info will chime in to confirm if I am right or wrong.

You can buy favorite weeks for sold out resorts. DVC just needs the correct points in inventory to sell it to you and have availability in the specific room type and week you want.

VGF for example has two buckets of points. Big Pine Key for resort studios and OG VGF for the OG building. DVC cannot sell you a one-bedroom favorite week on Big Pine Key points. That's why the original building could not be included in the incentives when Big Pine Key went on sale (same with deluxe longhouse studios and bungalows with PVB IT sales). You can ask for a VGF deluxe studio favorite week as long as DVC has OG VGF points inventory and that specific favorite week is available for that room type. If DVC only has Big Pine Key points, it can only sell you resort studios at that time.

CCV stopped selling the floating runDisney FW that was special when active sales stopped. To my knowledge you could still buy any available traditional Favorite Week as long as DVC had inventory during the sold out period.
