RPR CHeck In Question

We have a club level room reserved at RPR for next Thursday and Friday nights. My teens will be spending Thursday and Friday at the Universal parks. I am assuming that we can go check in early Thursday AM so they can get their FOTL passes and be there when the park opens.

At least that was my plan, but thought I better check it out. Will this be allowed? I know the room will not be ready until mid afternoon, but they would really like to have FOTL access for their day at the parks.

I am not planning on going to the parks...will they let me read and work on some work projects in the club lounge during the AM? I may do some shopping later in the day, but I really need to work on this project and was hoping I could find a spot in the club lounge to sit and work.

Do you check in at the main desk area for club rooms? I know at WDW resorts they have a seperate check in area.

You can get your room keys that get you FOTL access as soon as you check in, even if its 8:00am. They will not give you your room number until later in the afternoon (3:00 to 4:00pm) as houskeeping has to clean the room from the previous guest.

You get a special key to the elevator which should allow you to get into the lounge which is open all day. Sounds like a good plan.

There are tables out by the pool that have umbrellas for shade.
After you check in... change cloths, get a towel, buy food/drinks from the bar, do some work, read, and enjoy the pool.

Check-in for club level guests is at the front desk. The lounge is usually very quiet during the afternoon so you should be able to get your work done. There are plenty of tables for you to work. There is also a computer with free internet access if needed.

Thanks for all the info...sounds like a quiet and pleasant day for me....check in early, get the kids off to the parks, run my errands and then settle in to get my work done in the lounge (you have more self discipline than me if you could sit by the pool and work!! I would be asleep in a lounge chair or in the pool in 15 minutes!!)
