I have been dealing with family stuff so the last page I read was 155. I have just finished reading all of the posts. I have to say Maddi you are amazing. I bet u turn lemons into lemonade. I am not leaving this tread and will do what ever needs to be done to keep it going.

Thank you for all of you hard work

I am a newbie on the boards and really didn't think twice about the money for strollers. I considered it a donation for upkeep on the strollers. I can't believe people would trash something that didn't fully belong to them. How rude! :sad2:
I have RC#3 Sept. 10-17th and have checked to see if I could sit any of the others while I am at WDW. It looks like all the strollers are spoken for during my time. (if this changes, let me know, I will stroller sit, no problem.) :cutie:
I don't get to check the thread everyday and the days I do check I don't always comment, so don't think I'm not interested.
Parkers*Momma, I want to say thanks for the swap in general. There aren't many people who would take the time to make this work out for all the WDW fans from all across the country!

I wish I could stroller sit too:sad1: I am having big withdrawals. All week I have been at this time last week we were doing this...

Plus my only photopass pic I really wanted of the kids holding tinkerbelle in their hands never got on my card:headache: Oh well next time.

Hello LaurelF22... we live in Warwick. We are suppose to have 80 degree weather this weekend.:woohoo:

Hey there Miprender,
I am still in withdrawl and it's been 3 weeks!! I keep looking on the dis just to stay connected to WDW!! Not sure when our next trip is, if I had a say, free dining, but I don't think I get to make that choice!! Why do I have to live so far from Florida, not fair, and to think it took me 34 years to make it there the first time!!!:rotfl:

Maddi - I checked the dates that I'm going to be at WDW (9/26-10/4) and it appears that all the strollers are being used. :thumbsup2: Should someone drop out, I'd be more than happy to stroller sit.

Thanks for the offers to stroller sit! I really REALLY appreciate the combined effort of ALL the swappers to keep the strollers safe and sound!

OK first post has been updated. I'm hoping the MODS will agree to everything. I also included within each stroller calendar what model it is and the phone number incase something needs replaced.

I know everyone is busy but when you get time could you please let me know if we will be able to use #5 on the dates June 15-21. I know the new rules say no money but I would be willing to donate to the upkeep of the strollers to help everyone enjoy their trip:)

parkersmomma are you going to post the parts needed for each stroller on the first page with the calendars? Maybe if there are many needs for a stroller we can donate parts before our vacations and send them with a earlier swapper to help all out. Just a thought your a the best organizer I have every seen so I am sure all will work out. Thanks again for your hard work and dedication.;)

Instep has the most AWESOME customer service. When calling, you just give them the model number and tell you that you need an axle and they pull it right up.

I've never been given a parts number. I just tell them I need a replacement seat, axle, wheel, basket whatever for an INSTEP Double jogger and the type (suburban safari or safari) for Model # XX-XXXXX and they pull it right up by the model number.

Okay I just went and read the updated first post, sadly we have just planned our trip so we are not allowed to join this swap. I had a stroller paid for and reserved and the lady decided to end her swap due to the new rules. If anyone knows of another opening for those dates please let me know. I will be trying to juggle two kids without the help of daddy (who is deployed) and really really need a stroller. Thanks:)

And thank you for the encouraging words. As silly as this sounds, I feel this is my baby. I love watching it grow, nurturing it, and sharing all the memories from swappers using it. I do take great pride knowing we ARE the best swap out there. I really want to make this succeed until our very last swapper uses the stroller AND uses it in good shape.

I know some of you have asked about what is going to happen in December once the swap is over (provided we can keep this going on that long-With awesome swappers, we will!!). Yesterday, I talked to our county Children's home, a local woman's shelter, Job and Family services and all of them said their agency would GLADLY accept the strollers. The Children's Home was really amazed with all of this...the swap, donating, etc.

Maybe that is an option in December if the strollers are still going(which they WILL be). I would love to see more children get use out of the strollers after we are finished and what would be better...less fortunate children who may never get to do the things we have done with our children. :) I know at the Children's Home here said that they only take as many small children on outtings as they have stollers for...meaning only part of the lil ones get to go to the zoo or the park or whatever. The children in Foster Care have been through so much already and then only a certain amount gets to go "this time" and the others get to go the next time. Heartbreaking isn't it?

Disneynuts777: If you don't need the stroller, could I have RC1 from Aug 25-30 (if it's okay with Maddi). I can then bring it back to you on Aug 30th. Thanks

P.S. Coincidentally I was in the original RC1 group last year.

Just PM Parkers*Momma and I am sure that this can be arranged. I do not need the stroller...I was just going to make sure that it was in working condition and clean it up if need be and then keep it stored in our room.

Maddi,

I dont want to give you more work, but if we were to know what exactly each stroller needed or was getting ready to need on the first page it would help to know what to order if we wished to donate, etc. DO you think we could add that at some point?

Yep sure can. I'll try to get a new running list of what each swap has pertaining to the accessories this weekend.

As for parts, I can put up a list of what has broken in the past but who knows when and if they will again for some time. As long as care is used, we can get alot of wear out of them for quite awhile.

Maddi, I can only imagine how hard you have worked on this swap over the last few days, not to mention your normal upkeep of the swap. Thanks so much for all you have done. I told DH about all the new rules last night and explained how we may need to donate a part. He was just like, "Okay, that sounds like a good idea." This coming out of the mouth of a man that was complaining about having to pay $10 in the beginning. I think he must have figured it out that as long as a part costs less than the price to rent a Disney stroller ($187) we're still saving $$$!

HAHAHA that is too funny.

Yes it has been a crazy past few days but now I am soooo ready to move forward with this swap.

Everything has been brought up to code so we are in compliance of all the new rules. I even asked our HIGHER-UP, AKA M4TH to read over everything which she did. So we are good to move forward and get this swap a swappin' as it has before!!

I'm going to bump the crap out of this thread to get us to the next page, put all this behind us (at least a page behind us) and move forward with all the determination we had before.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for standing behind me, for sticking up for the swap, for helping me conquer the beast that threatened to distroy us, for the words of encouragement and for agreeing to DONATE! That is going to be the biggest part of continuing the best swap on the board!

OK...let's get to a new page and start swappin'!!!!!!!
