If you have round trip flights booked do you have to pay to check luggage each leg? I was assuming you paid it once, but now I am not so sure.
Thanks

Yep..you are going to have to pay for each flight.

And you can only pay for the flight you are checking in for.

In other words, pay once in each direction - no matter how many plane changes you make.

Caveat: On Spirit you can pay for the bags as soon as you buy the ticket-- you don't have to wait for the 24-hour mark. I don't know of any other airlines who do things that way, though.

Interesting. I have only checked through United and we only could pay for our bags when we checked in (either online or at the airport).

Yes that is true I just booked my United flight and you pay when you check in and you can pay for the round trip all at once too. This saves you the hassel when you are checking out at the hotel for your flight home with DME.
