room only offer starts October 8

So would it be better to book as a package before the deal comes out or just do it all on the 8th?

I would like to know the answer to this. We are planning for Feb. 8-15 2014. I have dining but no other reservations made....I am not sure if I should book now or wait?

You can wait in both cases (room only reservation or no reservation). There's really no advantage to having a package booked previous to a special offer release.

It's great to have you back Danny!! :thumbsup2

I have to wait for summer discounts if and when they come out but it's wonderful to hear from Danny again.

This is great news and thanks for sharing it!

I really hope the blackout dates are indeed 17th-19th as we check in on the evening of the 20th.

We are currently booked RO at AOA LM but will gladly change to save $$. Maybe Pop if it's really 25% off values? Or upgrade to moderate for the reg. dining plan on S/P/D? I've never gotten to book a trip under a discount so I don't know what the better deal would be.

Only problem: we will be busy at WDW on October 8th when the discount comes out. Will have to bring the laptop and find time to play with numbers and book! First world problems, right? :rotfl:

I am QUITE excited about this. Thanks so much for the information. I will impatiently wait until October 8th. That's an exciting week for me. My 180 days fall just a few days before! :goodvibes

We are checking in POR April 19th, I guess we will be blocked from discounts too.

Last year when running this they just extended the discount out through may, although, there was one or two weeks which were Blocked out ... Hope its not your week !

Are you doing Spring break though ? That's generally a busy time there and they don't need to offer discounts (not that they haven't though)

Did I miss something? I thought that the values were 15% off.... 25% would be awesome! :goodvibes

If I checked in on April 10th, would I be able to have SPD for the entire week (like free dining runs), or just the first 2 days? We are booked in June, but this would save more money if we could get it for the entire week.

SPD is for length of stay if you check in on an offered day - like FD.

Does anyone know if Disney visa holders will get the offer before October 8th? Or is that the Disney visa date and general offer will follow?

Considering it is Easter weekend it probably will be blacked out for P/S/D

Checked Mousesavers...for 2013, the general public discount for the spring became available 1/3/13. The blackout dates were the Sunday before Easter through the day after Easter. The discounts kicked back in the second day after Easter and ran through to mid-June.

The Promo's that will be released Oct 8th will be basically the same as last years. This is the Sell sheet from 2013. It will P/S/D & RO. The time period will be the same on both pomo's
These are the dates...January 5, 2014 to March 2, 2014
March 16, 2014 to April 12, 2014...black out dates apply inbetween those dates

For the P/S/D do you have to stay 5 nights? I was hoping to go for a 3 night trip for my birthday in Feb. 2014 and was hoping to use this discount. It would just be me and dh.
