Room only discounts for Fall?

I went to www.disneyworld.com, dates are 10/22-10/29/2012, I chose Mod resorts and Cabins at Ft. Wilderness came up as the only Mod available.:)

I did this last night...we are going Oct 18-28 and I checked every combination of dates possible but nothing is coming up except values and Ft Wilderness. I think the CR came up one time but it was mega expensive.

Does anyone know if the suites at AoA will be given a discount? And do they go with the typical %off for value resorts? I am guessing the Little Mermaid rooms will be excluded like they were in FD.

Hoping to hear something soon!

Rooms are not typically announced as "excluded" for RO. But that doesn't mean there will be any discounts there either. It really depends on availability. If the rooms are booked up, there won't be discounts. But if there is plenty of availability then you'll likely see some percentage.

During the last room only promo, AoA had a 5% off discount. I imagine it will be about the same if/when fall RO's come out.

We go to WDW around the same time every year; but this year I think is gonna have the biggest crowd if I base it on room availability.

I may have to adjust my week next year.

I checked my dates (10/25-10/31) and there were lots of rooms + room choices (standard view, water view, etc) at most of the resorts. I think there is a conference the weekend of 10/19 which might be why nothing's coming up if it includes that weekend.

Room occupancy can be wholly unrelated to park crowds. Especially in the Boardwalk area where they host a lot of conventions. Gartner in particular is a big one in Oct and that has little impact on the parks.

I sure hope so. :)

Okay, thanks. I see you were referring to availabilities, I was hoping you knew about a discount! :)

I already booked the Cabin with a AAA discount, which is small, but I was really hoping for a nice AP discount!

Heading there Oct 27- Nov 4. I really was hoping for a good room discount, but I have had my free dining reserved at POR in Royal Room for months from a pin number. I make my final payment on Sept. 4. Looks like I am going free dining. POFQ is totally not available and only Royal Rooms River View are at POR. CB and CS still have rooms. All the deluxes had some availability.

I made a room-only ressie yesterday for Pop, 10/8-10/11. That's where I'd prefer to stay, but if discounts for All-Stars turn out to be much better, we'll move. Right now, there's a $5 difference between the two. The agent said she didn't expect discounts for about a month, but she didn't have any hard and fast info.

The difference in rack cost between POP Century and the All Star resorts has to do with taxes as they are located in different city tax zones.

Actually, the $5 difference is pre-tax, but they do have different tax rates.

Just got a pin code for room only! Looks to be for repeat guests.

What are your dates??? That PIN covers almost every day of the last three months of the year. Of course, it does no one any good unless they actually GET the PIN. :rotfl:

^^ That! :rotfl2: I'd love to get this just for our ROs before FD package starts. Wonder how long before it opens to GP? :faint:
