I got thisone too this morning too bad i cant use it.

Noooooooo! Not a pin code! Ugh! I need a discount. I don't want to do the discount dance. Will I get one, will I not get one? :rolleyes2

Last night I called and asked about that pin that was just posted and the CM was a doll...she said that while there is no code attached to my name if a friend or relative receives the code they can book the room for me. For kicks I asked her to check Oct 18-28 at any of the Epcot resorts with and without the PIN. She did confirm the 25-30% off discounts from Sept 30 to the holidays

She said all three Epcot resorts are booked solid. There are no full price rooms, there are no AAA rooms, there are no PIN rooms, there are NO rooms available at the BC, YC or BWI. Not available for the entire time of my stay, not available for any night of my stay.

I then asked her if rooms will open up later and she said not unless someone cancels. If WDW has the opportunity to book rooms at full price then they will. WDW doesnt hold rooms back for discounts, contrary to what we have read on the boards.

She also checked the POFQ (where we are booked) and there are no rooms available at all.

How does it work if your dates straddle the two rate periods?

Say I have a trip planned for 12/8-12/16.

Would I make one reservation and get the 25% discount for the first 2 days and then get the 30% discount for the next 6?

Or is it like free dining where I'd have to make two separate reservations (the first for two days at 25% and the second for 6 days at 30%)?

(FWIW, I'm not expecting a PIN as I NEVER get them, but often, when GP offers come out, they mirror the PIN offers).

It's the same code for both so only one discount, therefore only one reservation is needed. The only way you would need more than one reservation is if you needed to apply two separate discounts. Say some of your days weren't available under the AP but you had a AAA discount. You would need two reservations to apply both.

Also, depending on availability the discount may not apply to every day in your trip.

I got the pin yesterday too. I have been waiting for a room only discount for the 2 nights before we start a premium package. The key words on this offer are "UP TO". When I actually called, the one night that is in the 30% category was actually 20% off. The second night which was in the 25% category was actually 15% off. I am happy for the discount but it is not a flat 25/30% off offer.

I called this morning, no PIN. Guess I'll have to keep checking!

If I have booked a package, can I apply a room only discount on it or do I have to rebook and buy tickets separately? :)

No, you can't apply it. You have to cancel and rebook. That's why I always buy tickets separately. Unless you're doing the dining plan the package serves no purpose and just us a lot of hassle.

I just got a CM that said if there were any GP room discounts, it can be applied to the package... Confused now... Should I call again?

I was going to get the dining plan which is why I got the package, still undecided about the dining plan...

If I did not get a PIN yesterday for room only this Fall, does this mean that I most likely won't get one? I usually do, but having read that others already received one and I did not, I am assuming it is a lost cause.

From what I've seen they tend to release Pins in batches over several days, even weeks. So I wouldn't think not getting one means anything. But I've never gotten a pin, so really can't say for sure.

I did check this morning but only because I had to call about DME anyway. ;)

I have been checking my mail and calling for months to see if I have a pin. I have come to the point that I do not even expect one anymore. That Disney just doesnt like me :rotfl: I have stopped hoping or checking :rolleyes2

I don't have any experience with a Pin Code. I always use either an AP or a FL Res. discount.

How does this work?
Would I get an email or snail mail with a Pin Code, or do I have to call Disney reservations to ask if I have a Pin?

Goodness, just as I think I have this reservation thing pretty much figured out...:confused3

They send them in the email and snail mail . In the email it will be addressed as Disney Destinations. I think most of them come by email. You can call and ask also sometimes people have a pin code and never receive one in the mail or looked over it.

Thanks for the quick answer! I will call first thing in the morning. :sunny:

An offer appeared on the website this morning for up to 30% off for fall. It covered my dates in December, half at 25% off and half at 30% off - so I booked it. :cool1: So glad to have something booked that's not rack!
