QS Options at Hollywood Studios

I had been planning to eat at Woody's Lunch Box when visiting Hollywood Studios this summer, but I just watched a video review where the hosts mentioned the lack of seating being a big problem (this was apparently being improved upon with construction at the time of the recording). I've done some more research and read that Ronto Roasters or Docking Bay 7 may be a better idea?

Our order of preference is Woody's then Docking Bay (not interested in Ronto). There is a reasonable amount of outdoor seating at Woody's. But it's such a popular place, the seats rotate guests, but fill quickly. At lunch when it's sunny and hot, the shade seats/tables are very difficult. There are also a few stand-up tables. When we were there last month, a cast member wasn't allowing people into the seating area unless their mobile order was ready or they ordered there, so that helps. To be honest, seating at Docking Bay isn't that much different, in fact there might be less seats (many indoors there). But the lines at Woody's seem to be much longer. For us, if going in summer, we'd head to Docking Bay and cross our fingers for an indoor table.....

I recommend checking out ABC Commissary as they have a lot of indoor seating. I don't know what's on the menu these days, but it's generally pretty good. Ronto Roasters is also good, but is all outdoor and they don't have a ton of seating either - at least not in the immediate area. There are some outlying tables outside of Docking Bay 7 that might work. DB7 is also pretty good, but inside can get crowded.

I second ABC Commissary for air conditioning and seating. Or Backlot Express, which has plentiful covered seating.

Or, skip the QS and have a relaxing midday meal at Roundup Rodeo.

Woody's is good but can be stressful at the busiest times.

I hate the seating at Woody's, but the food is good. The seating is crowded, often exposed, and noisy. I almost always get my food there bagged to-go, and walk over to Commissary's outdoor tables which are covered in shade and comfortable, and much quieter too. It's about a 5 minute walk, so food is still hot when I get there.

I do this too and often eat inside ABC Commissary. Yes, they will let you bring in food from another QS restaurant. I abhor the seating at Woody's but like the food.

Lately, though, I've been going to Docking Bay 7 and eating indoors there. I've never had a hard time finding a table.

An extra perk if you're with a party of 2 or more is to have one go get the food at Woody's and one to grab drinks at Commissary - the Commissary drinks are refillable, while drinks at Woody's are not.

That's another positive for ABC (and Balckot) - they do have self-serve soda fountains with refils.

ABC Commissary is my go-to for the kid's Chicken Arugula-Farro salad.
