People who need one for medical purposes also take priority over people just renting one. A few years ago we had requested one for my mom's insulin. It was added to our ressie when we booked. When we checked in, we had the CM check that it was in the room. The CM called mousekeeping to make sure it was there. Apparently they had run out, because we heard the CM say, "this is for medical necessity, so it takes priority over a rental. Get them one!". We were in the room just a few minutes before someone brought the fridge. We asked the guy who brought it, if they run out alot and he told us it does happen, but not alot, but when they do run out then someone who paid for the rental will just not be able to get one, as anyone with a medical need will always be given priority.
