Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

I think I need a day off to catch up on all the chores and such.

Great shopping pictures -- I love all the new Princess and the Frog merchandise.

Bella is such a good sport trying on all the silly hats (not that she has much choice, but we'll pretend :lmao:).

Hurray for Drew arriving! Can't wait to see his photos from POTC.

Did you catch the Hidden MeMom in the frog picture? ;)

:thumbsup2

I think this is just one of those times that really make me so aware of how different a day in Disney World is than a day out in the real world.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that when we're at Disney, we don't read the paper, or watch the news once! We don't want any "Real World" intruding on our DisneyWorld.

depends on the man. :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I spied the Hidden MeMom!:goodvibes I want a Disney purse! One that doesn't scream "Disney" but it's there all the same. I love looking at your shopping pictures so much that it's now my #1 goal to get into more stores and take pictures too!

We have another snow day here as well. It's our last free one before Saturday make-up days start. I hope we go back tomorrow. It was supposed to warm up and rain but it looks like we may end up with a mix. Not sure what will come to pass...

I should be catching up on chores but instead I am on this computer and then taking the kids to see The Tooth Fairy. I am getting some :laundy: done, so that counts, right?

Here are some of Drew's Pirate pictures.

MeMom I am so enjoying your pictures. It really makes me want to go at Christmas, but sadly it is not in the plans for this year.

But,.........the good news is I will be going to Disney in October!

The whole family is going to celebrate Ty's first Disney trip.....October 2-9.My birthday is on Halloween and my Dil's birthday is Oct 9th, so we have three things to celebrate..

I can't wait. I am so excited. We most likely will be staying at your POP. I thought about French Quarter, but with Ty being 16 months at the time I'm thinking the pop jets and the kiddie pool will be right up his alley.

I can't wait to see the Halloween decor and the parade.

Maybe I'll make it at Christmas in 2011.

What awesome updates! I'm just sorry I've been away from all the fun for a few days! Now I am back and DISing. :thumbsup2

I hope you don't mind - I'm using your MK / Walt & Mickey picture as the screen on my computer at work. (sigh.....:lovestruc) What a great pic!

Speaking of great pictures, Drew's pictures are AWESOME! :thumbsup2

I could comment on every single one of those pictures, each one is better than the last, but we would be here all day! Again, i am just loving tagging along on this Trip with you guys! Now I will be singing " Walkin right down the middle of Main Street USA" all day to myself! That little number makes me sooo happy! Does Brooklynn have the Disney DVD's with all of the characters- I think they were called The Sing Along Series. OMG Andrew would watch them over and over. My favorite one was the Disnyeland one- at the time they didnt have Disney world one- and the opening song and dance was "Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street USA". Andrew knew the dance by heart- it was the funniest thing to see a 2 year old boy singing and dancing to that number! We still have them on VHS and i could never part with those!

It is raining and cold and sleeting here and your pictures were just perfect! They got me warmed up as I am about to head out in this nasty weather and do some grocery shopping myself. And although it is only temporary and not completely by choice, I too am enjoying being a stay at home mom- it is so nice to be able to grocery shop on a Tuesday at noon!

Drew has an amazing eye for capturing the details in the Magic Kingdom! I could easily frame all of those Adventureland photos! He should post some of them over on the photography board.

Now that we are staying at POR, we are going to do Disney World instead of US/IOA and Seaworld.:) We still have 3 days left on our non-expiring passes so we will use those and relax the rest of the time. Well, DH will relax. The rest of us will be off touring resorts and taking the boat to DTD.

I see you behind those frogs MeMom! :rolleyes1

Oooh my gosh, don't show me Disney purses MeMom! I'll want to buy one!

I have yet to see those Main Street performers, but I'd love to!

Did you really spot me before I said something, or did you scroll back?
Tell the truth, now!

My favorite Disney purse so far has been the too expensive one at French Quarter. It was exactly what I wanted, except at the wrong price. I found one on Disney Shopping that I think I will treat myself to for just twenty dollars. I can get it during spring break to help ease the pain of no trip. :goodvibes

Yes, you need to try to see the Main Street performers. It is classic Disney happiness.

I love those brown mickey purses! It's one of those, don't look too closely and it's a regular purse, but we see all the not so hidden Mickeys.

I've never seen you super secret hiding spot before. That place is awesome!! I am fairly certain you'll find the Mops there on our next Disney trip (slated for early Fall '10/ or late late winter '11, depending on which Mop you ask!) I love the Main Street performers! We always run into them on early MK mornings too!

We could possibly be taking an October break trip. Let me know what your dates are when you decide.

There was a lot of P&F stuff and a lot of Toy Story stuff.

We kind of just put whatever on Bella. She may begin to resist someday, but for now, she mostly just smiles. :)

I was glad for the time Drew spent with us. He's not a big family time person, so just the fact that he came was nice.

:thumbsup2

I don't read the paper or watch the news, either. I totally immerse myself in Disney things.

Same with us - this is our last free day. We never get all five of ours, so this is a rarity!

October is a great time to go! :yay: The weather is still plenty warm for swimming. Ty would love the Pop kiddie pool. French Quarter is very nice, but if you are going on pools, Ty can walk in and out of the Pop one by himself, because it just slants in.

I will, of course, be trying to squeeze in an October break trip, if at all possible. I'd love another Thanksgiving trip, too.

I have some Jeff Lange videos, and we had some old Disney World Sing Along VHS tapes. I saw them on DVD before Christmas and bought three of them for he girls. I'll probably be watching all of those myself during spring break.

Drew has a really nice eye for composition! Thanks for sharing :goodvibes

I will be putting up more of his throughout the report. He has played with some of them on Photoshop. I wish he could get rid of the people in some of them, and I think he can.

Drew has an amazing eye for capturing the details in the Magic Kingdom! I could easily frame all of those Adventureland photos! He should post some of them over on the photography board.

His goal was to get some good pictures he knew he could use at school. He has had a few of his pictures put in some magazines.

That's very cool! You can find plenty of non-park things to do after the relaxing, too. :)

Love the update. Drew has a great eye.
Alexia wants to say hi. :scared1::happytv::laundy:pirate::drive:pixiedust::jumping1::sulley::ccat:

Hi, Alexia! I'm so glad you are practicing your DIS smiley skills!

:rotfl2: "And here's Bella's thoughts on the ride.." :cutie:

Not impressed, I'd say. Maybe Johnny Depp will appeal to her more as she gets older.

Of all the many shopping pictures you have posted, this is the first thing that I actually own! :rotfl2: Can you tell I don't spend much. It is my favorite ornament though!

Oh you're killing me with these pictures. One of my fondest memories from our first trip was riding this with the carolers singing! I want to go back RIGHT NOW! And I agree. I want those simplier times back too.
:)

I love Drew's photos! You can tell by looking at them that he will go far with his photography. I think it's interesting to see how both you and he shoot things from unique angles and each perspective is totally different. One of the many things I love about photography!

I think Princess Tiana is just gorgeous! We haven't seen the movie yet but will once it comes to the cheap theatre. ;) I also love those purses. I hope you are able to treat yourself to one MeMom. I'm glad Drew came to hang out with the fam for awhile!

I love all of Drew's pics! He is talented! :thumbsup2

Taking a great pic must run in the family because you do a fine job yourself! ;)

I don't care if a bag is overly Disney or not...I would buy any of them. I LOVE my bags!

I went to the Disney Store in Syracuse on Sunday and I bought about 8 re-useable bags. :rolleyes1 I just couldn't pick one....I know I have an obsession.

I also got about a dozen plush characters. Some Valentines ones, the P&F ones, Toy Story ones too.

I got a cute tee that said I heart Mickey. Can't wait to wear it at WDW.

I picked up the cuttest water bottle too.

Funny Story: When I went to pay the sweet lady said "wow all this is for you my dear." My DMom laughed and then told the cashier that all the stuff was for me, not Lexi. The lady laughed and said "Don't be embarassed. I love Disney too, that's why I work here."
I told her I wasn't embarassed, I am a true Disney lover.
My DMom then said "you have no idea how much!"

*I will be in WDW for Christmas 2011....celebrating the big 40! :scared1: I can't believe I'm that old! :rotfl:

We should plan a DIS meet!

I can't wait to see all the decorations! Drink some hot chocolate and watch the castle light up!

MeMom are you returning to school tomorrow?

  I just noticed I have exactly 2 weeks until I can make my ADR's!!!

I need the August hours to get posted and then I can figure out where we will be on which day. :)

I love your pictures of the Main Street show! I really like the Mickey head peppermint-looking ornament, too. I would love to have that on our tree.

Drew's pictures are amazing. I'm so glad you got to share them with us :goodvibes
