Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

thanks to both of you. :) this has been going on since about september but i didn't want to spread their business on the internet. the divorce is all but final now so i figured it would be okay to tell you. i don't want to give too many details but let's just say it's been a struggle for me as far as some of their actions. nothing horrible but stuff that they know better about. anna is a smart girl and i love her but there have been times over the last couple of months that i could have just strangled her....and for the most part i told her so. but we are still very good friends and, like i said, i'm there for her no matter what. we actually just got off the phone a few minutes ago. :goodvibes and of course chris and i are still very good friends, too.

Well that is such a shame to hear. I'm very sorry. And I know you must feel very awkward between the two of them. I'll still be saying a prayer for them though b/c I believe that anything is possible!

I'm almost ashamed to admit that when we're at Disney, we don't read the paper, or watch the news once! We don't want any "Real World" intruding on our DisneyWorld. [/FONT]

We don't either. This past June we headed to Akershus for an early dinner. Right as we were approaching, the bottom fell out of the sky. Rained hard during our meal but by the time we came out the storm had passed. As we continued around WS, DH and I kept commenting about the lack of crowds...:confused3 When we got to the American pavilion we were chatting with the KidCot CM and he made the comment "I'm glad you guys decided to stick it out with us given what's going on.." We were confused and I figured he meant the storm so I said something about it being summer, in FL, and no rain was keeping me away from Disney. His face changed and said that wasn't what he was talking about. He finished my kids' passports and we sent them over to the mask station. Then he whispered that Micheal Jackson had died. He told us that so many people started leaving the park they had to call in/move some CM's to trams and parking. While I know it was sad/tragic, I couldn't wrap my brain around the fact that so many folks left. I think Farrah Fawcett died either that night or the next day as well but I don't think she got the attention MJ did.

Drew got some great shots! I bet when you go to Disney this summer Bella will be so much more involved in everything!

I love all of Drew's pics! He is talented! :thumbsup2

Taking a great pic must run in the family because you do a fine job yourself! ;)

I don't care if a bag is overly Disney or not...I would buy any of them. I LOVE my bags!

I went to the Disney Store in Syracuse on Sunday and I bought about 8 re-useable bags. :rolleyes1 I just couldn't pick one....I know I have an obsession.

I also got about a dozen plush characters. Some Valentines ones, the P&F ones, Toy Story ones too.

I got a cute tee that said I heart Mickey. Can't wait to wear it at WDW.

I picked up the cuttest water bottle too.

Funny Story: When I went to pay the sweet lady said "wow all this is for you my dear." My DMom laughed and then told the cashier that all the stuff was for me, not Lexi. The lady laughed and said "Don't be embarassed. I love Disney too, that's why I work here."
I told her I wasn't embarassed, I am a true Disney lover.
My DMom then said "you have no idea how much!"

*I will be in WDW for Christmas 2011....celebrating the big 40! :scared1: I can't believe I'm that old! :rotfl:

We should plan a DIS meet!

I can't wait to see all the decorations! Drink some hot chocolate and watch the castle light up!

MeMom are you returning to school tomorrow?

Did the Syracuse store have a lot of good stuff? I'm debating if I should go there this weekend or if I should go to the outlet in Grove City??? :confused3:confused3

I love Drew's pictures!

I noticed the hidden MeMom before I saw what you wrote!! What do I win? ;)

All of these pictures are getting me even more excited! Two weeks from right now I'll be in MK :cloud9:

Drew definitely has a knack for photography! I hope it works out for him! Thanks for sharing all your gorgeous photos!

I love the frogs Brooklynn got, and Bella looks so cute with the Jamaican hair! You're really getting brave and letting your picture show more often. We love seeing you!

Denise

Hmmm...I need to figure out how to convince my DH that we need to go to Disney World before next Christmas because our baby is going to NEED an ornament that says "Baby's First Christmas 2010".

I love all the shopping pictures.

And Drew's photos are wonderful! Looking at his photos makes me want to learn how to properly use a camera.

Fun washcloths.

Wow!!! Drew's pictures are so good!!!!!

I love the one of sweet Bella asleep...again!! I hope I have that kind of luck with my new little one when we go back! :goodvibes

Yeesh, what's with her!?:rotfl: Well I guess she can get let of the hook just this one time for being so cute!:goodvibes
Drew has quite the photographic eye! Maybe one day he'll write TRs too.;)

Here is video from Monday the 28th. I still have to load my pictures from Tuesday and the video from that day as well but it has taken 4 hours to load all of this to photobucket. Hope you all enjoy!

The castle show. We watched it from right outside Crystal Palace while waiting for our ADR.

Castle Lighting (Enjoy Erica!)

Thanks for putting those up, Jill. I love seeing the girls in action. It was fun to see Brooklynn being a big girl in the parade. :)

I will apologize for all videos you guys are going to see. There was obviously no tripod used, nor any talent or camera knowledge. It was literally 'point and shoot'. Most clips are just fifteen seconds or so, just enough to give you the feel of the moment. Sometimes, I was filming and didn't know I was, so there's no telling what we might see!

Looks like it is back to school for us. :teacher: Most of the counties around us are still out, and a few are going in late. Oh, well, I knew the life of luxury would end eventually. I'll just be grateful that it is already Wednesday! :woohoo:

I think I could say that just about every single day - 'I want to go back right now!'

I love Drew's photos! You can tell by looking at them that he will go far with his photography. I think it's interesting to see how both you and he shoot things from unique angles and each perspective is totally different. One of the many things I love about photography!

We went out together a couple of times during the trip just to walk around and take pictures. He doesn't mind walking slowly and stopping to take a picture of a fence or chair or light or whatever. I enjoyed spending that time with him and seeing how much he really enjoys taking pictures.

I think Princess Tiana is just gorgeous! We haven't seen the movie yet but will once it comes to the cheap theatre. ;) I also love those purses. I hope you are able to treat yourself to one MeMom. I'm glad Drew came to hang out with the fam for awhile!

Tiana is very pretty. Naveen is my new crush! He was such a doll!

I think I am going to get that $20 one during spring break, but that remains to be seen. I am really, truly on a shoestring budget right now as I pay for the fun we had in Disney World in December. I don't mind, though; the fun was worth the sacrifice.

I'm glad Drew hung out with us, too. He just has different interests and would usually rather be with his friends than sitting around with us watching Brooklynn and Bella play.

I love all of Drew's pics! He is talented! :thumbsup2

You really bought the store out, didn't you?!?!? :goodvibes
Grocery stores are encouraging the use of reusable bags, so that was a fun and practical purchase.

I just called our last Disney Store yesterday and was told February 21 is their last day. Originally, they were closing in April, I believe, but that has been cut short. We can just hope for one of the new ones to open somewhere close as they overhaul the whole Disney Store concept.

We are going back to school today.

  I just noticed I have exactly 2 weeks until I can make my ADR's!!!

I need the August hours to get posted and then I can figure out where we will be on which day. :)

Every milestone is exciting. We'll look forward to seeing what you get. :)

I love your pictures of the Main Street show! I really like the Mickey head peppermint-looking ornament, too. I would love to have that on our tree.

Drew's pictures are amazing. I'm so glad you got to share them with us :goodvibes

There were hundreds of Disney ornaments to choose from. If you had a very large tree, you could easily cover it with only Disney ornaments.

I'm glad you enjoyed Drew's pictures. I'll have more of his to share throughout the report.

Not to be ugly or disrespectful in any way, but I would not have left the park, either. It is a sad fact, people are dying and tragic things are happening every day all over the world when we are all on our trips. None of us are any more or less important than the next person. I would not expect anyone to cancel their plans for anything that was happening in my family, and I doubt any of you guys would either.

Drew got some great shots! I bet when you go to Disney this summer Bella will be so much more involved in everything!

Yeah, Bella will have a blast this summer. She'll be able to toddle around in the kiddie pool by then.

I think Drew's photos are outstanding! That kid has a future in photography!!

Thanks. Let's hope so. He really wants that.

I second that!:goodvibes

I will share your encouraging words with him. :)

I love Drew's pictures!

You win not having to see very many MeMom pictures! ;)

Two weeks from now will be awesome for you!

He is going to school for that now, and it is the first time in a whole lot of years that he has had a good attitude toward school. He pretty much only went to school all his life for the social aspect. Now, he enjoys learning new things and has a whole different demeanor about school.

I love the frogs Brooklynn got, and Bella looks so cute with the Jamaican hair! You're really getting brave and letting your picture show more often. We love seeing you!

Denise

I'm not going to get too much 'braver', I can assure you!

Brooklynn was very pleased with her purchase. She loves to shop!

That was one of the things we thought about getting you, but we thought that was a more personal thing that you'd want to choose for yourselves. We opted for the Minnie bib, because we thought it was pretty cute.

I don't think I am smart enough to use a good camera. I'll probably always be a point and shoot girl. Maybe that is something I will have more time to pursue when I retire, but right now, after a school day, I wouldn't have the brains eftover to take a class of any kind.

some dear friends sent me one of these! :goodvibes

You would be lucky to have one like Bella. Most babies require a little more maintenance. She's been an easy baby. You'll have to get one of those carriers when you take your trip. They're wonderful things.

Wow!!! Drew's pictures are so good!!!!!

I love the one of sweet Bella asleep...again!! I hope I have that kind of luck with my new little one when we go back! :goodvibes

Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

I sure have had a lot of sleeping Bella pictures in her first year, haven't I? When we show her these in later years, she'll probably make fun of herself! :)

Oh and no worries on your filming, my husband teases that he needs to take a dramamine before watching the videos that I shoot !:lmao:
And for some crazy reason our schools are still closed- i think it supposed to be 40 degrees and sunny here in Cary, NC!
