I woke up this morning wondering if you were headed back to work today. Bummer on having your mini vacation end, but at least you won't be adding extra days in June. I hope the kids come back well rested and eager to learn.

Those were great! I love starting my day with a little disney!
Oh and no worries on your filming, my husband teases that he needs to take a dramamine before watching the videos that I shoot !
And for some crazy reason our schools are still closed- i think it supposed to be 40 degrees and sunny here in Cary, NC!

Most of the counties around us are still closed, and a few are on a two hour delay. There is still quite a bit of snow outside my classroom window all in this back shaded area, so I imagine that there are a lot of shaded streets that are still the same way. I am okay with coming, so we don't have to extend the school year, for those who have vacations already planned, but I would have been fine with staying home, too. I know it has been a hardship for some of our parents to either have to stay home from jobs they desparately need or to make childcare arrangements. I bet they were thrilled to hear that school was back in session!

In case she doesn't have time to get on here today, Jill wants everyone to know she is not ignoring your reports. Her school is going under the microscope in a couple of weeks (state accreditation), so they have been and will be extremely busy. They just lost one of their lead teachers to another job that suited her family's needs better, so they are short-handed and in the process of hiring some new people, too. Anyway, she will be pretty occupied for the next couple of weeks focusing on that, but she doesn't want you to think she doesn't still love and miss her DIS friends!

I had to laugh about the comment that you were taping and didn't know it! I did that SOOOOO many times on this last trip. I had a new camera too and wasn't used to the way it worked. I've got five minutes of video of people's butts b/c I had it around my neck taping while we walked! So don't feel bad! I guess we'll figure out how to use our cameras eventually!

I thought we might get a delay at best. A short day is better than a whole day! However, if still had my third-grade class, I would be stressing over TCAP preparedness.

I tell ya, it doesn't do me any good to get days off, because it just makes me realize even more how much I'd like to either be at home or possibly be doing another job.

I thought I hadn't recorded Brooklynn's Tiana/Naveen meet, but Jill said she found it. She said there are a few videos in the mix where you can just see a table and hear us talking.

I just saw your TR update this morning after I got to school. I am looking forward to seeing the good pictures this evening.

Around here we only have 1 inclement weather day built into the calendar, and so now the students have to make up two days. They are still home today! I am ready to get back to routine, but on the other hand it's kind of nice to just lounge around. It's 10:30 and I'm still in my PJs! Oh, but the people I see complaining on Facebook! Some people just need to chill out! (Stacy-that is NOT directed at you! I am talking about some people from the school my kids go to who go on and on about how ridiculous Virginia is!)

MeMom-too funny about you videotaping and not even knowing it! Just the other day I found out my camera has the ability to video-and I have had it for 3 years! My daughter had videotaped with it on Christmas Eve, and I never even knew!

Memom:
We are leaving friday afternoon to drive down to columbus and now they are calling for a huge snowstorm...I just found out about it tonight when my mom called crying because she is afraid that my brother and I are not going to be able to get out at all on saturday. ITs now a winter storm watch until 6pm sat. Its calling for 6 inches. It could be hit and miss....so lets do some major praying that its a miss!!
I just need to pack more diapers in my carry on just in case. And of course the one and only character meal i booked...chef mickey;s I booked for sat night...and that is one we cannot probably get booked later in the week with that many of us...if worse comes to worse than we can most likely get Cape May cafe or maybe the garden grill...something at least so it has mickey mouse...but I have my heart set of chef mickeys. it was the one ADR I had to get...the rest were if i got them...then great!


SO do some major praying for me!!

I could hear him coming down the hall this morning. At one point today, I heard him telling someone that his little brother gets on his nerves. I thought to myself, "I know the feeling." Only I wasn't talking about the brother.

He really is a sweet kid, and he's cute and smart, but boy, can he talk!!!

I wish things would have fallen in place for us to be able to join them at the Boardwalk. Jill would truly have loved that, since she has wanted to stay there for several years. It will happen for her one day, but the timing is just not right for many different reasons.

If I had an end-of-school vacation plan, I would be a little stressed, but since I have no plans for that week, I am not opposed to going. We won't be doing anything at then end of the year, anyway, so it really wouldn't be much of a make-up day.

I love having the video feature. I just forget to change it back and forth from video to photo too often.

Oh, yes. He is very excited because his family is moving to Indiana at the end of the school year. They are going up there this weekend, and he told me more than once today that he would not be here Monday. He's very excited about going where there is more snow.

I hope all of your fears come to be nothing. I'll definitely say a prayer for easy and safe travel, and I'm sure God will get a kick out of the 'and God, please let Caleb eat with Mickey Mouse' at the end.

Hi MeMom and Jill! Sorry I've been MIA but we were without a working computer in the house for about a week! But I am now caught up (all 20 pages!) and ready for more amazing pictures and cutie videos! Hope everything is going well for your family and you're keeping safe in the snow!

All is well. We're just working and waiting until our next fun adventure. We all managed to stay safe in the snow. Trent going over Monteagle in the beginning stages of it was the worst part, but after that, it was smooth sailing.
