Rides that should be retired....

Magic Kingdom
Tomorrowland Speedway
Jungle Cruise

Epcot
Body Wars (almost there now)
Journey into Imagination (I like the previous versions better)

MGM
Star Tours (it's not much fun anymore though my kids still like it)
Muppets 3-D (as others have said, it's dated now)

Animal Kingdom
Nothing yet

MK- Stitch Can't stand that character so forget about the attraction. Bring back Dream Flight.
EPCOT- Universe of Energy I like the idea behind it. I just am not an Ellen fan.
MGM- Drew Carey and Indiana Jones- Just my recommendation, but get rid of Indy Jones and bring in the ride that they have at DL. That is a fun ride!
AK- Not my favorite park but I will give it a try. Out of what I have done there, I would say get rid of the Pocohontas show and keep Tarzan Rocks!

As like quite a few people...get rid of Stitch.

As for Swiss Family Tree House - that is my son's favorite. Don't know why, but we have to go on it 2 or 3 times on our trips.

I guess that is why most things are not gone. There is always someone out there who likes it!

And get rid of It's A Small World? Bite your tongue! That ride brings back memories of my childhood! It is not that exciting, but it always makes me smile :teeth:

Ooh! I thought of another one - there's a movie with Simba and Pumba in the Land that is pretty dull, IMHO. I don't know, I just think they could change that one every so often. I'm all for more items from the Lion King, and the environmental issue is a good one to support, but it is too long.

What "old" Maelstrom ride? :confused3

(And what "new" one, for that matter?)

I was just about to quote this too. I remember LOVING Maelstrom and finding it funny as a kid/teen. On my last visit (it had been 15 years since last trip) it just was eh. I thought maybe I had just matured...but now I see that they changed it. I can't tell you exactly what they did though!

This is the only one I can think of.
Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time on this attraction again if it were located outside the gates and was free.
Put on headphones and sit in the dark??? What were the Imagineers thinking?

LMAO!! :rotfl2:

For me it is some of the kiddie type rides.....Astro Orbitor has got to go, the tea cups. A little on the daring side I would have to say Space Mountain and Primevil Whirl. On the gross and way awful side....Stitch. That burb made me nauseas. Just my opinions, not that even of my families.

GET RID OF SPACE MOUNTAIN?!?!?! MY Heart STOPPED even thinking about that.

Also, The Great Movie Ride is SPECTACULAR? Why even think of getting rid of that?

My List:
Indy Speedway: Sad excuse for go karts, not only do you barely control them, but you can ride go karts anywhere. not disney material

Stitch: I want Alien Encounter

Indiana Jones Stunt: Get an Indiana Jones RIDE. Not a big fan of any of the stunt shows

Tea Cups: Not disney material. Carnival ride.

While I don't like Stitch, there's always a huge line to get in and fastpasses run out quickly. This is true of many rides already mentioned here (Jungle Cruise, H. Mansion, etc.). I doubt Disney would let any of these go.

Can't say the same for Maelstrom. Rarely a line and fastpass always available. No one seems to want to get on it.

Mission Space isn't crowded anymore either.

While I love Buzz's Spin, I could do without that dark tunnel that projects Zurg's ship.

My ultimate vote to go is Indiana Jones at MGM. LMA is much more worth the wait.

Would anyone really miss TomorrowLand Speedway? Long line, lame ride.
As someone else said, prime real estate that could be put to much better use.

This is my point exactly. If the ride is so lame, why the long lines? If I were Disney, I wouldn't get rid of a ride that has such long lines. But then what's the alternative, get on Splash Mtn. which can sometimes be over a 2 hour wait?

I think a lot of kids would miss this. It's a chance for them to drive a car. I remember growing up and loving those rides because now I was in control.

I would get rid of Mission Space at Epcot.....Stitch at MK and the dumb Movie Ride at MGM

Time to bring more thrill to the parks....more exciting and hard core rides for the older kids and younger adults.

I am a little confused. I thought Mission Space was a hard core ride. :confused3

"If Ariel's Grotto/Pooh playground and Tomorrowland Speedway took a hike, there would be some prime real estate for redevelopment!!! Never been on Stitch but I would ax him too. I love the little guy, but when my MOTHER complains about a ride, I know it has to be bad!! Update, UPDATE, UPDATE!!!!"

Take our Ariel's Grotto?......as a DH I must say no way to that one.....that girl really fills her clamshells........makes every trip to Fantasyland take on a whole new meaning.........

I know I'm in the minority but I could live w/o It's a Small World Afterall ride!

I think Great Movie Ride needs an updating but I hope they never replace it. I love that ride so much.

Regarding the Indy Speedway, I agree that the kids love driving the cars--couldn't they make the cars "more Disney" :wizard: , like how about Roger Rabbit cars or miniature Love Bugs (Herbies)--something that actually ties it in to Disney. Otherwise they are just like any other go-cart ride and the real estate could be used for something more up-to-date. ::MickeyMo

 Now those ideas rock. I love Roger Rabbit. That could totally tie in the Toon Town concept. That's an idea that could really work! :flower:
