Thanks. Also my mother will have problems with the moving platforms at the attractions. She is unsteady on her feet due to arthritis/ bad knees. Would she need a GAC for the CM's to slow it down or stop it for her to load the ride vehicle? She will have problems stepping down into ride boats like POTC or IASW is there a loading area with maybe handrails for those with mobility problems?
The parts that livindisney

mentioned will be very helpful to you.
To answer just the one question - if she has a wheelchair or
ECV and is using it in lines, she would not need a GAC (Guest Assistance Card).
With a wheelchair or ECV, she would be boarding the attraction with moving walkways at the place where CMs can control it and where there is more space for loading.
They do NOT automatically stop those attractions with moving walkways, even if someone has a GAC. It is up to the guest to let the CM know what they need because the CM doesnt know the guests abilities. Some can walk quite well on the moving walkways, but are using a wheelchair for stamina reasons. Others are unsteady and some, like my DD, cant walk at all and need to be carried on. Since the CM cant tell by looking what you need, its up to the guest to say something if they need more time or need the walkway slowed more.
For those attractions like Pirates, there is no spot with better handrails - all the boarding areas have basically the same.
