Hi, guys! Half awake.....Matt's still sick as a dog....sounds like he's coughing up a lung. He's out of school for the week.

I think 5 days in the rain, alone, in a tent, away from everyone sounds grand right about now......

Kittens are so cute. We just got another, over my objections. I just melted when I saw that cute little kitty. Any way you can "borrow" the kitty for a day or two??

Lars, I thought I was the only one allergic to lilacs!! Ours are in full bloom and smell so beautiful but ack!!....I have to keep my windows closed over on that side of the house, esp the bedroom window!!

I'd try and go for the kitten! I had one that was more like a dog than a cat in personality.....just LOTS easier to care for, and they don't require as much "space"! GO FOR IT!

Where is the other Marsha? I got the sign she sent me for my "outhouse" powder room, and it is a hoot!

Hope Matt gets well soon, Gina. It is tough to miss so much school this close to the end.

Do most of your schools end the first week of June? Most around here are done June 5 or 6. Our local one is done tomorrow. They started and ended early so they would have a couple extra weeks to turn the old high school into a new elemetary school before the start of school next fall.

Steph-Kittens are sooooo cute. If you can 'borrow' the kitten for a few days Neil will fall in love with it & won't be able to say No!! My DH likes cats better than dogs!

Kitty - with the popup, we're really quite weatherproof. We're bringing up a bottle of scotch and a lot of card games along with the kayaks. We'll be fine....

He might call you at work, Lorraine......at LUNCH TIME!!!!

Diane - school isn't over here until the end of June. The High School finishes classes two weeks ahead of then, but they have exams over that period....

BTW, I had a PM from DM this morning. He is taking a break from the DIS, and I wanted to invite him to come join the friendly folks on the riddle in the morning. I don't think he will though. I miss him around here!

Then they go back the Wednesday BEFORE Labor Day.

Hardly seems like they get the summer off this year.......of course, you'll need to remind me of that around July 4th....LOL

Last day of school for my kids is June 11th.

Funny DH story about out houses.....When he was about 13 his parents and younger sister's were gone & he took his sister's pretty pink & white playhouse with the name 'Sugar Shack' painted on the front (house was very narrow shaped a lot like a phone booth) and painted it black & white, cut a moon in the door & painted 'S*** Shack' on the front His family was thrilled It's actually still there........

GOOD MORNING OK AND THE WHOLE CORRAL

Lovely morning here so far. Had a wonderful long weekend, it was my high school's 50th Anniversary. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to go since some of the gang I hung out with in school weren't listed as attending but I decided to go anyway.

It was a blast. We talked, laughed, hugged and in a couple of cases came close to tears over old friends who are no longer with us.

God bless Baboo, she put up with me dragging her to a loud overcrowded party with nobody other than me that she knew and then let me drag her around and introduce to gangs of people from my past. I owe her big time for that.

Yesterday we went for an all day picnic and hike
today it's back to the grind

Boo's Mom don't give up I used to think I was a cat hater. That was until we had Gandalf and then Socrates, two of the greatest furbearing, purring machines ever. I only takes a short time with a kitten to melt anyone's heart.
