Hoop Dee Doo check-in?

Hi everyone,

My apologies if this is a dumb question. I genuinely searched and couldn't find anything definitive, so here's my question. As a party of 8, we're going to HDDR next week, and I'm not sure on the check-in process. Our show is at 6:15 pm.

I know that in the past, you would arrive at HDDR and check-in with a CM standing at a podium. Now, however, I see something about checking in on the MDE app. I'm trying to find out, does checking in early get us a better position in our category? Or was that position already assigned back when we made our reservation? Is there still a CM at a podium, or do you strictly check-in through MDE?

There's still a CM at a podium. I checked in on the app and found out that didn't count, still had to see the CM!

And my understanding is that your table is assigned when you book your reservation, so that's what gets you a better location in your booking category.

Agree with CarolynFH I've been told your table is assigned at reservation time. Thats when you chose your table level.

I can verify that's true. I had asked a CM before and was told as much. Plus my own experience corroborates that.
