Riddle me this!

Well, I finally got the Christmas card done and the caramels all cut and wrapped. Tonight I have a holiday party with my Longaberger basket group and cookie/candy exchange. It happens to be in our new neighborhood, so DH is going to drop me off while he goes over and does some wiring at the new house. STILL don't have the tree up!

That was fun, Mickey - I did leave Lynne her own little riddle this morning....:)

You're cutting it kinda close, Diane! I do remember The first Christmas Sharon and I spent together. We we're married for about 6 months and were living out in Colorado, miles from home. We were both a bit homesick and having a really hard time getting into the holidays. We finally went out on Christmas Eve and got a tree and a bunch of decorations and spent the evening supping on Jim Beam and eggnog while we trimmed the tree.

Turned out to be a nice Christmas after all. :)

Are you a Longaberger addict Diane? I really do think they can become an addiction:D I have a girlfriend that has well over 100 of them. They are in every shape & size possible.
My nepew is always complaining that his wife is hooked too...he says everything in their house is kept in a longaberger basket:D

Morning Riddle Meister and fellow riddlers!

Kitty--I know you'll be wonderful! The parents love this stuff and the kids really like to show to them what they can do! (Break a leg!!;) :D )

Bernie, sounds like a fantastic Christmas for you!

My Christmas starts on the Eve when I have my children all day and right through to 1:00 on Christmas Day. Then my kids go with their dad and that's kind of it for us. :( It's been nice for them to have a tradition, but I grew up in an all day celebration type house.

We celebrate on the Eve with dinner and church. I always have a solo, and now the kids are involved with their instruments and voices. It is very special.

I'm with Diane-a clue for the clueless please!

Good morning all! I can't believe I only have three days of work left until my time off for Christmas. My brother and SIL are coming on Sunday, grandma and aunt on tuesday and I still haven't bought them their presents yet  There's always Saturday, right? ;)

Amid that is a wonderful gingerbread house there! I couldn't imagine making 19 of them... that is a lot of dough, gumdrops and icing. But very yummy looking all the same :)

Kitty I am sure you will do just fine at the concert :)

John, what an interesting reason to lose power yesterday... did you all go get any of that beer? :p

PM on the way :)

LOL OK! I just got a mail message that things were un-tidy.

Does anyone know how many messages you are allowed to have? this is the second time this week I have had to clean..and I really don't get that many messages

Morning all - Kara is practicing again -and I have no clue what song she is trying to play

Today her class is going ice skating for the morning - of course the about the last time she was on the ice - she fell on her chin and we spent the morning in the ER getting stitches

The one and only time we tried to make a gingerbread house - ended up having to use super glue to hold it together - and even the birds wouldn't eat it!

I will be the most fashionable dressed person at the bank and photo shop today

Have a good day

Elaine!

Hiya, CRB!

We got to mass on Christmas Eve. It's always very special. AT the end of the mass, when the priest usually starts the closing prayers, he sits down instead for the Christmas Eve mass.

The church gets very quiet.

Then we hear bells, jingle bells, softly chiming from the back of the church.

It's Santa.

He takes off his hat and walks down the center aisle, bag slung over his shoulder.

He doesn't look left or right.

Then he kneels at the altar and says a silent prayer.

Then he walks out a side door, never saying a word.

It's a lovely moment.

I do hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy that time - especially as you all sing. There's something very special about singing at Christmas. :)

Last night was a very special night for our family....my SIL & BIL who are in the process of adopting their 2nd child (1st from China is 3) received the very first photo of their daughter last night:D She is from Korea & is absolutely beautiful! I got teary just looking at her. She was born on 7-12-02 and she'll probably join us here in April. If I knew how to post a picture I would share her with you.

Good Morning everyone!

I got this one right off the bat and my pants got here while I was reading 4 pages of lively banter.

DH and I are off work today so I think we will try to wrap the kids' gifts while they are at school. We used to wrap at night after they went to bed but we go to bed before them now, so that won't work.

Maybe I'll get that last batch of cookies and the rest of my cards done during Survivor tonight.

I must go warm up the tape dispender. LOL

LOL Marla!!! I'm sure that as Kara practices more - it'll become recognizable! :)

Mickey - I really don't know how many message we're allowed! I've built up a bunch of 'keepers' over time, so I'm in there cleaning up all the time!

Lars - that's wonderful. What a lovely gift, to get that picture. And what a lovely gift they are giving that child. Bless them all. :)

Sis - Sharon and I went to my mom's last night and wrapped everything up. We can't leave anything in our house - the kids are very, very nosey!!! :)

A clue for all the football players in the crowd...

Marla, be thankful she practices! Some of my students think they can get by without it!

OK, that sound like a wonderful tradition at your church! We are not going to midnight Mass this year. Instead, I am playing flute at the 10 p.m. Mass and we do a few carols before the Mass. We have a very large parish, so we have 5 masses Christmas Eve and two more Christmas Day. DH and I are also helping with music Christmas Day.

Lars, I'll bet they are so excited!
